So, I've been working on some fluff and ideas for an army I'm going to be calling "The Wrong". It will be themed around the Coheed & Cambria universe with the chapters Primarch being Coheed Kilgannon, also know as The Beast or The Monstar. This army will feature multiple units from different armies (Beastmen, Orks, IG, SM of all chapters, and even Nid and Cron [[I'll explain more on that later]] ), helping to set that tone of being "The Wrong". Seeing as my birthday just passed (got some nice stuff for it) and Christmas is right around the corner (going to have some nice stuff coming ) so the army will grow quickly.

The work on the army will be sprinkled with work on terrain as I am making my own and have my very first piece assembled (a machine shop) but it still needs to be painted. So, as I update the army and terrain I will keep you guys posted.

Actually, no, I don't mean chapter master. In the tons of fluff in the 40k Verse, there are two of the twenty Primarchs that are unknown. Only being spoken of in the short story, The Lighting Tower, and in The First Heretic (Novel) but nothing is really said about them, mostly vague things. So, using this, I'll be making Coheed and Jesse Kilgannon into the lost Primarch brothers two and eleven with Cambria Kilgannon as another unique character, more likely then not a Chaos Sorceress HQ.

My chapter master will most likely be Claudio Kilgannon (though I may make The Writer instead) with champions such as Al the Killer, Ten Speed, and Ambellina. Troops will include the IRO-bots, Onstantine Priests, Red Army soldiers and much more.

Yeah, BIG project but, I'm hoping to capture the feeling. Wish me luck!

I will be converting quite a few models to sort of show that "multipule walks of life" look (such as the IRO-bot, Red Army, Priests, plus people from the 40k Verse that have found some sort of comfort in the ranks of The Wrong). My color scheme, as of right now, is sort of ed up. The custom parts of the army will be painted to reflect how they are portrayed in the Co&Ca Verse but those that are "converted" from WHFB and 40k (Crons, Orks, Tau, Beastmen, Squats/Dwarves) will be painted as if they had once belonged to another army but have converted and painted themselves to sort of fit into their new group; i.e. standard blue SM with black that they painted over the blue to try and fit into Chaos. I don't know how best to explain it but I think you get the idea.

Interesting fluff, very interested to see the execution on the models. My advise....spend 30 bucks on a pin vise and drill. GW plastic clips are also amazing.

I was planning on getting myself the GW hobby kit (vise, drill, saw, ect.) but I'll have to see what I get for Christmas first so, yeah, we'll just have to wait and see.

Well, all of the albums from them so far tell the story of the Armory Wars but if you're talking about some of the extra fluff they put in the comics the answer will be yes. We will see all sorts of goodies from "people" like Cecil, Wilhelm Ryan and Mayo Deftinwolf to things such as the Jackhammers, "The Camper Velourium" and "Grail Arbor".

I'll even been using some of my own fluff for how they got into the 40k Verse. Remember the Black Rainbow?

Thanks, I've always liked the thought of it. When you have Chaos converts, it has to be a bit diffrent. Every time I heard the "they converted from [insert chapter here]" I couldn't help but have a stupid story in mind. Like such:

"Good day, you filth. Thank you for joining Team Chaos. BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! Today we will be taking a trip to Chaos-Mart where you will pick up everything that is needed to look like a Chaos Space Marine. Alright, now everyone in the Land Raider. MOVE IT, YOU SCUM!"

I tend to use the word "Verse" in lieu of the word "Universe". It's just something I do, probably seeded in laziness and my innate redneck ability to castrate words.

aha, got a glimpse of the overall scene of the story. sound a bit after reading some vitas that you have here a superhuman team facing a brutal enemy...powers look like a mix of known heros from different parts of printed comics i read... well will be interssting to see it in molded plastic^^

Sort of and sort of not with the theory of what it's about but, either way, it will be of EPICNESS!

So, as always in my life, my plans got ed up. I was not able to get to the hobby store and, therefore, don't have any of the stuff I need to work on my project.

So, nothing for the army done today. Terrain got put together, though, and I'm pleased with it. Still needs painting and some of that 40k flair but that's still in the works.

Alright, that'll be all for the night, see you guys and gals tomorrow.

nice terrain you´ve built there. i had just a quick view in. the machine shop look really good. like the idea with the turret made from leftover junk. been collecting odd scrap for months now. in a second vid i saw a small toy castle. we´ve got that too and i always think i should use it for terrain building... the kids dont play with it anymore...

Lol. The castle (a Fisher-Price something or another) was free at a yard sale, is missing pieces, and would make for some great terrain. It's going to get work done to it to give it a little more battle worn look (though the kids at the pre-school did a pretty good job of that already. ). You'll expect to see it being used soon.

i hope so, cause then i might also use it and i need yours as a reference to justify my own creation. the kids wont be amused if i tear it apart right in fornt of them^^

I've sort of been trying diffrent ideas for my Blood Machines and have been liking some of the combanations, others not so much. Other bitz that I'll be using are a lot of wire from an old computer.

arghhh, when i see that box i get a conversion rage...cool i never saw gundam stuff here in germany out of ebay...such a shame...with that you could do wonders...

Well, there will be lots of casts made so, who knows, you may find a pair of 'Libby hands' in your stocking.

I don't know where to find Gundams anymore (save from ebay) so I'm going to do a bunch of hands/arms/shoulder pads/shields casts that way I can build and butcher to my sick little hearts desire. The massive gun is actually a two part weapon which makes it a bit better in my opinion, seeing as I can maybe use the short version for a regular missile launcher and the long version as something different. In my head I was seeing the dread 'run' towards the front lines, drop to one 'knee', brace himself with his spare hand, and fire a sort artillery round into the oncoming hordes. It was epic... in my head at least.

The legs are a good size, about three and a half inches or so, and have some nice feet. Two forward facing 'toes', two rear, and one on each side. Very grabby for moving over some rough terrain (or people ). I was thinking of a sort of Obliterator/Warhound mixture, not sure what he'd be based off of from my army's fluff but he could just be a unit that was pulled to them. I'll work on it.

I've also started working on a piece of terrain that will be named "House Atlantic". This will be a HUGE part of fluff for both sides of this project. House Atlantic is a key place in the Co&Ca Verse, a glorious fortress where Supreme Tri-Mage Wilhelm Ryan spends his days, and will make just as large an impact on the 40k aspect of this army. Seeing as I will be using Nids, Orks, Tau, Dwarves, ect. I need a way to tie them into the army and make it so that it would be believable for them to be with in the ranks of all the other races. Thus, the Delirium Trigger was born. I've got a concept of what I want to do but it'll need some ironing out before anything is really done.

I have set up the basic concept of it but that's about as far as House Atlantic goes. I've also found a bag of Zoids bitz.

Well, I've decided that the Delirium Trigger with be a sort of Pysker weapon. I'll be using a sort of Christmas tree shape to it (may just get a foam tree, save a bit of time) with the top cropped flat for a sort of chair. Wilhelm will sit on top of this 'tree' and harness the powers of those trapped within it's 'leaves'. If you've ever seen the anime "Dead Leaves" it would look something like the machine near the end where Galactica and Pandy are fighting. Inside these tubes will be different members of different races that have been forged into a single mental being "acting in tandem, suspended in a perpetual nightmare" and their abilities will be harnessed by Wilhelm. This is how he will be able to control things that would other wise be 'off limits' like Nids and Cron, hell, even the Orks fall into that a bit. There should be a few sketches soonish, I hope.

The Gundam arms are just a sort of mock up right now. I'm trying to get the right feel for what I want my dread to look like. I do like some of the arms (the blue with the bulky shoulder pads was one of my favs) and I will be casting some for future projects but, as of right now, I'm too poor to do much in the way of models.

Also, today I got a 4'x8' 1/2" of hardboard for terrain basing and a sheet of styrofoam of the same dimensions. Terrain, prepare to be conquered!

i know for sure that it is very easy to start so many projects in short time and sometimes simultaniously. but dont over do yourself. all is well in your head nothing will get lost therein. i know how you probabl want to do all together, but that will bring you to a time when you only see unfinished things surounding you, thats a definit motivational killer. instead i suggest doing one at atime so you see results, even if it is crucifying...and again we are back to jesus...well stuff him, probably with a xmas tree^^

Funny you say that, I was looking around (what used to be) my room, filled with clutter. It was one of those "that's a bunch of gak" moments. I think House Atlantic will be my top mission, right now, as I don't know what I will be getting for Christmas and don't want to end up expecting something and not get it or buy something and receive the same thing (I feel like an ass when that happens). So, House Atlantic will be stop number one, seeing as I'm about to cut this hardboard down to a manageable size.

Hardboard got cut from a 4'x8' into 2'x2' squares. Foam got the same way.

I have the same castle Lebaron...It was a pinnacle of my childhood much like the Gundams you use..Then add the music of my life now and that means your army represents everything I have ever been lolz!

Funny thing, that's pretty much the same way it is for me. I enjoyed Co&Ca since they were Shabütie but I was sold with the Good Apollo, I'm Burning Start IV: Vol. 1: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness. I felt the Writer's plight was something I could really connect with (it was one of those 'really bad relationships' that we sometimes find ourselves in) and I've enjoyed everything since then.

cool looking terrain. will you further detail it with parts of cardboard to get the surface not so clean? like small stripes to make it look more gothic? also i wouldn´t place the mentioned dragon teeth just there...you have to imagine that your rhinos and other vehicles will sometimes want to get into the machinesgop in a hurry, so better not make it to narrow... personaly i would do some bunkers or a turret there?
will you be adding stairs or did i overhear that?^^
all in all this will be a very fun providing object to paint. and a lot of fun given the size of that thing^^ will take ages^^. waht will you be making the base look like? where will this terrain piece be located? grass land , urban theme or desert?

by the way nasty scar on the strating pic of your vid...makeup or real and long since gone?

I will add a bit more detail but not to the point that it's just TOO MUCH. I've seen that and it just kills the terrain. I was sort of doing a mock up of the teeth and I didn't like the look of it so that's a no go. Turrents will be added (there may be a few stand alone turrents as well) and the stairs are a sort of "maybe will, maybe won't" thing and, as for what kind of terrain and the painting I was thinking of a run down urban area. It would include grass, weeds, rubble, all the good stuff.

The scar and, belive it or not, the seal of the Imperium are both photo shops. I added them because they look cool.

Ah, the glory of überlegen fluff blending. Seeing as Tau will be part of my army and I will be adjusting things for Coheed & Cambria fluff (not to mention the Delirium Trigger), it wouldn't be odd to see Chaos Tau though they will need a new name and a few extra Chaos parts.

Please, for the love of all that is noxious and impure....don't add spikes to gundam bitz. Please.


Go for the 'nid parts though, they work great with chaos. My only problem is that I'm running out of mechanical parts to model cybernetics with.

The spikes on Gundam bitz is still sort of in the air but it wouldn't be added to things like arms or legs. If spikes were added then they would be on things like shoulder pads (though not a lot look good with spiked shoulders) and on the shields to count as that CC weapon. Either way, spikes on the Gundam bits is still very up in the air.


Now, you may see some spikes on my Dark Tau (for I still lack a good name) units because they would be an odd batch. I personally believe that, if a Tau were given the freedom to do whatever they wanted, it would be a sort of mass chaos/hysteria. For the entirety of their lives they are fighting "For the Greater Good" and personal want is zero to none. Now, take that person and tell them they can do what they want, when they want, and how they want. It's likely they will show no restriction in their actions and each choice will be a sporadic "at that very moment" sort of decision so you can expect to see a lot of different types of Dark Tau flooding my battlefields. The "Dark Kroot" will show up too but I've got a little something special planned for them.

i´m not sure with that gundam/transformer thing as a libby to be honest... i thinkthe dread body is still needed for that official look...

do you only use knifes for your styro terrain? looks like you are a very clean cutter...whats your secret? i tend to mess up a whole apartment with those small white balls from it. they fly everywhere...and if i use the pink foam its still messy like hell... also my cuts look so crappy.

The Gundam won't be used for the libby, it was just to sort of show the pose and overall feel to the dread I will be eventually using.

I usually use a styrofoam cutter (just a cheap one) for long cuts but I also use a box cutter and exacto-blade for large cuts and small section cuts respectively. I also but foam that's meant for insulation and, there for, has a film on each side so it doesn't chip as badly.

saw the silver side on that stuff, isn´t that expensive?

do you use your foamcutter indoors? does it stink?

and for the libby, mind doing some other poses as well, so we could see what potential these casting hands have? i saw a tut on how to create a fire effect for a terminator libby done with GS and his pose was cool looking, maybe you should have a look...

The sheet was 4'x8' and 1/2" thick and cost about $13 which is only a dollar more then the stuff at Lowes. I use the foam cutter inside all the time and it doesn't have any odor (none that I can smell anyways). Though the silver stuff sometimes gets caught on the heating wire if it's not hot enough.

i´ve read lots of warning tho for uses of foam cutter indoors. hmm they are nevertheless best for cutting foam ....

I like the direction this is going and really like the idea of a libby dread, I've always felt the dread looked incomplete stocky legs huge torso to me they look liek they are missing a head and got cut off from the knee down.

Whats the metal on the foam terrain?

If you have a heat gun (or your gentle with a solder iron) you can seal the foam for spray painting without extra parts just pass it over the piece a few times and the foam will condense into a plastic just sand the roughness (if needed) and paint.

Well, my dread will still have the huge body but it's legs will be extended as well the arms; hopefully, it will will get a more human shape to it and look far more menacing.

I don't think it's metal but if it is it cuts with a hot foam wire just the same.

Well, been feeling like ing gak the last few days so nothing much got done. I did base and finish (for the most part) the ruined building that I was working on last time I updated which I will show off here. I like it but, as always, C&C is welcome.




I also have gotten my hands some very very very nice pieces of foam in which I will be using for some large scale terrain projects.

I've got two foam boxes, one in good and one in meh condition.


I've also got several pieces of foam that came with them.


Plus two large pieces that will make up a hanger door,


And a silo of some sort.

I'm not really sold on the dreads, though they look cool, the use of other "toys" , even though they match the scale, casts them away too much from the 40k Universe for my taste... Plus, I don't know the C&C universe much you're talking about (I just read the wiki), so I'll focus on following the scenery evolutions, which seem on a good way to awesomeness!!!

Ok, so with the breaker now fixed (really, the damn thing blew about eight or so last night and I had to wait till morning to get a new one) I can do a little update. House Atlantic will now only be the castle and the silo that I showed off will be part of the Delirium Trigger that I was talking about earlier. I'll try and to explain it more later but now, sleep.

Alright, everyone, I've not been working on too much for the army as of late. I did do a lot of work on another piece of terrain which is rather large but still needs a few things done to it but, seeing as Christmas is right around the corner, I don't want to buy supplies until I know what I've got.

This one was a real bitch to cut, to tell the truth. The parts that were closed that would make up the roof and walls are about 1" thick while the roof has parts that are up to 2.25" thick. I had to do a bunch of angle cuts to eventually get to where I could cut the holes I made. Like I said, a real bitch.

As for storage, well, they are just sitting in my room as of right now. Don't have any place to store them but, that may change. Who knows, I may start selling what I make to make room and give me a bit more money for more things. Never know...

a the old idea...making money in your spare time^^ i always dreamed about doing some stuff thats making fun but still keeps me in money...well as i am not really a looker i couldn´t do the obvious^^

Lots of critter jerky and animal bone wind chimes. Don't like to waste and they have a certain knack for keeping kids out of my yard, the wind chimes, that is...

Well, I've not a clue what I'll be getting for Christmas. Be it models, terrain bits, molds or what have you I can't plan anything for my models until I have them. So, to keep from having things getting started and shelved, I'm currently only working on things that I have. Makes it easier.


So, I've put the poll up. It includes the Blood Machines (dreadnoughts), the Red Army (an IG style army), the Onstantine Priests (they will be a group of mutated creatures so their looks will vary) and the IRO-bots (Sort of like cyborgs, I guess). So, vote away!

Well, it's been a while, hasn't it. SO, I have been working on "The Wrong" and in the next few months or so I will finally be getting all the forces I need to flesh them out.

The boxes are as follows; Tau, Imperial Guard, Chaos Space Marine, Space Marine and, possibly, Tyranid. All will be the Battle Force boxes (most bang for my buck) and all units will fall into 'special' unit placement in certain squads.

Blood Machines (Dreads) have been reworked since my last failure (it was really, really not good) and will be a mixture of GW multi-part plastic units, Forgeworld resin pieces and green stuff.

Besides that, I've been busy as hell with work and dealing with 'stuff'.

Damn. I've been quite busy and almost forgot all of what I've been doing. Well, a few things have been ordered (Tau Battleforce, IG Battleforce, CSM Battleforce, and a Dust Tactics core box set, a few AT-43 units) with a few other things that are in the works of being bought. The first army portion I will make will be the Red Army. Now, because of the crazy mixture of IG, Dust Tactics, and AT-43, I feel this section of my army will come together quite nicely. The large mixture of units will lend to that "all walks of life" theme. I still have a few more things to add to this portion of my army but, all in all, I think I've got most of what I need. I'll update when they all come in with pictures and progress.

Well, seeing as I have yet to play a game with my CSM army, I will focus on just fielding one right now. Once that is done, I'll start to knock out the other models. This will start with the Red Army because I almost have everything I need for this portion. Next will be Bloodmachines, and then we'll go from there. Been lost in work, have my girl coming down for a month and just over all busy. I will finish a standard CSM army though, for play purpose and then work from there.

Well, I now have a reason to make an actual army for regular play while working. I now have a local gaming place only about thirty to forty five minutes away instead of the one and a half to two hours it used to take to get to the bunker. It's pretty kick ass.

i could never get used to such distances like you americans... for me my needs are all in the 30 or less min distance...all done by local traffic as i have no drivers license...

Well, I wish we had public transport like Britain (well, maybe not Brittain... lol) but I doubt any of that will happen. It does suck but the guys there are pretty awesome. First day in there, guy sat down with me and we worked out my points on army builder and talked about how I would take the army.

My sister, of all people. She thought it was a comic place but has an issue with going into new places alone. So, she had me tag along which I am glad I did.

She didn't used to. It started with me getting her into video games (she has fallen in LOVE with Fallout) and it just spiraled from there.

DLC = DownLoadable Content. Just extra stuff for the game after it's come out.

lol....its like a soap opera...once your in a story the story keeps you attached to the series...and clever comic maker spreads charcters and storylines to raise the selling... during my best times i had nearly all marvel titels on my shopinglist...

for some games i also really like addons and mods for games...provided they are for free... the hype about sims was always lost on me...(they charged...you could even get the whole IKEA cataloge of furniture for your sims...too crazy for my taste)

The original Fallout is my all time favourite game , and the new ones are pretty excellent too, she has great taste! mind you comics are fun fun fun , so so do you ! nice theme for your army , the Wrong screams right to me , and reminds me of the old days of yore , when peeps wre not so uptight about fluff and it having to make sense , not that i dont think your fluff wont tie it together or anything. look forward to seeing your progress matey. and 100 $ per month on comics isnt so bad when you know how much they are these days!!!

Well, I am working on a bit more refined fluff to tie the army into 40k. It's actually coming along really really well. The only problem I'm having now is money but, hey, who isn't?

I was debating weather Ten Speed should be an actual DP or, this is the one I like better, a bike. I know it sounds kinda odd but he was a bike after all.

The thought was to take a normal bike and, depending on how demonically possessed it was, how much of the DP we would see. I'll try to get a picture up here. It'll be a bad photoshop but it'll convey the idea better then I can.

Well, after looking around a bit, I'm at ends. Ten Speed will, WILL, have the Balrog for the Demon portions (I mean, the head is near perfect) but, this is where I'm at ends, I don't know if I want to make him into a SM styled bike or if I want to go with something Orky or try something different all together.

There will be more then one model of him, e.g. released from the bike (standard DP), escaping from the bike (half and half, more or less) and, of course, the bike (just the head and a bit of fluff will be Balrog).

C&C is welcome and if you have any ideas, shoot.

I meant literally just have a model of a bike, and say it's a DP. Forget that WYSIWYG rubbish, just have a fething bike dude!

I still want that demon head though. It would be just a bike with a demon head.
