After some debate, I have decided to start up this thread separate from my P&M thread for the current fiction I'm working on.
This is a Warhammer 40.000 piece and will be added to as new sections are completed.
Might just be me trying to read it on my phone, but the stuff I'm seeing on scribd is like scrambled or something...
I can see what I believe is your watermark, but the text looks like its in some kind of code or something...
I will try reading it on an actual computer, as my phone has the tendency to need smashed with a BFR sometimes

I think unfortunately it is because of reading it on a phone. Scribd has done that to me before on my phone.
Hoping some time monday 2nd/tuesday 3rd. Just need to re-fiddle with part two, and format it into pdf file.
I unfortunately was a little lax in editing this weekend as I've been trying to sort out part 3, as I had a little writers block to one of the transition elements... which hopefully is sorted now,
Part 2: Foundations is almost done, it needs another proof read before publishing, but unfortunately that will have to wait until tomorrow. word count: 2k ish
Part 3: Silence is being typed up atm, half done, half to go. reads quite nice and I think will shift it to a less clinical tone. word count: over 2k
tomorrow *fingers crossed* as my proof reader is ill atm, and I'm waiting on someone to get back to me on filling in for the other person. otherwise your looking at the end of the week unfortunately :(
It'll definitely be uploaded this week, and I think while I'm waiting on the proof reading I'll at least start part four "Advent"
I'm considering going back to my original plan also, which is to upload a single chapter once a week so I can avoid waiting on others too much for proof reading.
hey hey im the bipartisan american in this argument so i go with the mass...well im just being difficult and since i am the bipartisan american
UC you are not fulfilling your end of the arrangement on this einey meany miney mo game so it is both your faults )
Well hello once again people, its that time, The second part is now available to read (see the front page for link).
Apologies it took so long, was experiencing some technical difficulties... i.e. me needing to reinstall several programs after deleting them thinking I no longer needed them...
anywho, hope you all enjoy, part three will be available this time next week, and I'm about to embark on party four. So see you next time peoples!!!
hey hey im easy not cheap just remember that and i was talking about my thread besides i dont want to interfere with your bromance with with rouge he might get mad
read the fluff. I like how you go about it and you discription is excellent with nice word choice. I feel like i really understand whats going on. Keep up with the fluff.
Yeah I love his terrain work, and his artwork is exceptional.. if GW doesnt employ him when he's a bit older then they are bigger idiots than I took them for.
his style of work is a digital version of the early Rogue Trader stuff which I love so much!!!
After managing to wrok through the night, from daylight to daylight, I have now managed to finish up a wip version of "prologue" with new background textures and fonts.
I would really appreciate feedback and CC please...
the prologue is looking great! i havent quite finished part 2 yet, but so far im liking it, i especialy like how when you mentioned a servitor, you mentioned a tidbit of backstory on what a servitor is without taking away from the plot
^that RW... i never thaught about it but childe is writing in a way that doesn´t expect too much knowledge of the lore and the fluff of 40k but can still be enjoyed by a noob...
tis why i mentioned it, although he is putting it here for us who know, i conisder my self a fluff noob and i honestly didnt know where servitor some from, now i do! and i like that he put the backround in it
well at least that info i got earlier... it was so despisable that it got stuck damn good in my brain... really there is little the IoM isn´t cpable of doing to their next of kin as they do to their enemies^^
it is the rather simple compliments that work the best^^
the other day i was fetching groceries with my wife...being a man...i look occaisionally at other women then i saw someone.. looked and found it was my wife... told her my train of thought and she blushed...yey strike^^
Also, I've re-done the background again in the pdf, but haven't uploaded it yet. Basically I've inverted the colours that I used so its now a bluey grey which I think works a whole lot better. When I get back this afternoon I'll endeavour to finish off working on them and upload the revised versions.
Lols it was only a select few people who's head blew up
it depends on what you know from 40k fluff... but its explained in the next part Advent, which has just this minute been typed up... now entering edit phase

i only ever saw him on one of my subbed threads as a regular... but well.... i had some mail stuff happen to me too... tho in the end they all came out well...lucky me... but i bet if something went wrong back then i would have had a bad time too...regardless which position...the distance always is the most hustle...
even though i read part 1 and 2 already, i think i want to go through all of them in a row, because the more times i read it, the better feedback i can give!

I look forward to the feedback you both will give!!!
Dont challenge me childe. I am American and a Russian Panda. I will show you all the fowl and horrific, yet wonderful mind of my imagination if you dare.
and I feel I may have to stick a nudity disclaimer in one part of the story... workshop doesnt generally cover it, but it happens, especially when donning power armour during a ceremony.

i didnt realise it till now... in every corny alien movie we beat them because of the smallest stuff, like sickness... well we now know the tyranids weekness thanks to childe! "Childe can never be sick...he has like 30 million bio morphs." - ComradePanda
Unfortunately I have neglected this thread a tad in the last few weeks... attempting to sort it out in the next few days, so hopefully will have some new material for you all in the next week!!!
Oh I've been around lols... mostly answering questions on mine and panda's thread, plus posting updates without an sd card slot is a pain in the buttocks atm... but I do have updates to post once I've bought a new sd reader.
ok played a few games with the hunters and i have to say they are utterly worthless. 8" range is to short to be worth while we found that in the five games they were taken with 4 squads of them, they vaporized for their points with not even remotely coming close again to doing harm. We then house ruled them to shoot 12" and found that they were decient with that, and then found they were perfect (with no save) and their low stats with a 18" range gun. More or less they are heavy bolter snipers. With short range. they should be assult 1 18 inches. Just my groups thinking, love the idea anyways.

Thanks for the feedback Panda!!! Its really much appreciated
If I were to increase the range to 18" would you think it better for them to have "sniper" rather than the "rending" special rule (I am aware that sniper includes rending, but it also gives pinning)
If it's not too much trouble could you and your group test both "Assault 1, Sniper" and "Assault 1, Rending, Pinning" as different units. Curious to know playability and outcomes.

just looking at the rules their is a conflict, because the sniper definition says its a heavy, pinning weapon...so assult sniper is a bad classification and doesnt work, if you want we can play it as Posion(4+) rending, pinning, and then just normal S(5) rending and pinning
well they are super squishy, and cover in this edition sucks, and with my thinking IG have ratlings (snipers) fr 10pts i may feel your nid counter part is perfect for 10-12 pts depending on the posion rule or not.
d´oh... i always meant to read the whole as is story... i am atm in holiday fever... so after that i will print it out completly and read it on my way to work...deal?
