This is my take on the Badab War Chapter and I hope you like 'em....

Are they even painted? i joke i joke. The armour is looking good so far mate, i would make sure you go for a really bright spot colour such as green for the eyes or a bright right stripe down the face (space sharks have that right?)

Looks good. I do think they need an accent color to help break them up a bit. While I'm not one to criticize basing (all my minis are just on black bases) I think it would help a lot to make the models stand out. Even if you just do a simple black coat of paint.

The blade on the libby was skull white with one or two or 3 blue washes.

the assault troopers look quite good... tho i would love to see the eyes get a bit more attention than just a basecoat of dark angles green...

the terminators i have to say tho look a bit weird with that red in the face... reminds me a bit too much of cheap lipstick... sorry to say this...hope you don´t mind... but on the other hand... you made a good start at OSL on those powerweapons... if you give them some pure white highlights that will look very dramatic!!! i like that!!!

3 bloody weeks now and i had advanced it the same day it was put on the site.
Walked into craft crazy and grabbed one with no problems, so thats keeping me going so far.

Have mailed them about it, all i got told though was they got alot of orders.
No reason for it being massively late or an explanation though.


And to make it worse, im now painting with 1 hand :(

Like the Carcharodons. I think you have captured the grittiness of the chapter very well. Too bad your not in the states we can always use another “Warder!”

Still I going to offer some suggestions as I think your painting is progressing to a new level ( someday mine will as well). As always meant in the spirit of helping. God know I need it as well!
I think the darker color scheme call for some lighter highlights ( or maybe the pictures don't do them justice). Some even more lighter dry brushing on some of the outward edges will make them "pop".

With the excellent color blending of your figures you need to add an lighter splash of color to the eye lenses. There are some great tutorials for lenses and I find myself getting better at it every time I try. I'm finding that the extra attention make them look more serious and is an easy way to bring my models quality up.

Darken some of the vent areas on the Stormraven, this will add some depth to them and give more dimensions. Add some streaks to the Stormraven vents and seams. The key is to find the right amount. A slight oil stains from the vents give the feel of a more working machine. Lastly I think it’s better to paint the track of vehicles black and drybrush up the wear than trying to darken them afterwards. I have gone from no wear and tear to all wear and tear.. something it took me a long time to come to grips with. I still think my Lamenters look better as a " in the breach" kinda chapter. Not for everyone.

Lastly, Git has started me working on a new technique where I base coat black from the underside and then basecoat white from the top. When I apply my real color I start with a natural shading. I think this would be great with the grays’ you are using. I think the original technique came from GD.

Anyhoo.. excellent work and keep going. They are becoming a great looking cohesive looking army for you. Well done!

Here's an idea... Try drybrushing some of the torsos and inner thighs with a white...kinda make it look like the white belly of a shark?

I'm guessing you'd have to be creative to pull it off, but I say you have all the skills to do it.

TBH, I'm not sure how you could make 'teeth' work well on a stormraven - not really the right kind of nose shape for it - I just like the idea of Space Sharks doing that sort of thing

that powerfsit is a good looking addition... i use that kind of conversion for my own sarges too... without the SM shouldepads it works...

the sharks look good...only one suggestion... the rim of the bases... doing it completly whit...it kinda ruins the snow effect for me...if the rim would be black the snow would glow more!

I now have used a sm body as the arms looked too big

assuming your making a SM scout... The arms do look a bit large, and I'd lose the IG head for a scout head to give it a more SM feel, but I like where you going with the build. If its a IG " scout" then I can see why your build is the way it is.

There's a lot of really good work here Dee. I'm impressed.

some have even wristmounted bolters... i like that idea particular... somehow that lends them a bit of even more action scouts!
