Hello good sirs!

What would be your best killstreak or silly event you've had with a unit? For example, has your riptide or dreadknight plowed FAR more than its cost in points? Or what was a rather silly thing you managed to accomplish with a certain unit?

Farsight with 5 suits and 5 drones.
2x 2 plasma rifles, 2x 2 fusion blasters, support suit

Deepstrike in and on that shooting phase killed
A squad of genestealers that were outflanking
The Doom with 10 wounds (instant death)
A Mawloc
Some Harpies (i dont remember how many)
and took the last wound off a flyrant


Mega pleased with that phase

Im still new to my Dark Eldar but loving them on the table top.

In my recent game against a Dark Angels players, my Archons unit (Archon, Klaivex and 3 Incubi) cut their way through Azrael with 6 marines (Archon killed Azrael in a challenge). Then next turn killed Ezekiel with a few marines (again, Archon challenged), and then killed the final few Tac marines left on my opponents objective in Emperors will. They lost only 1 Incubi from the unit.
Obviously this is a great combat unit and sort of to be expected, but i was still a great kill-streak.

Shenanigans?
Had a hilarious time with Deathleaper in my Nid army once. The only time I feel he really made his points back.Game was me vs my friends BT (old dex). 2000pts. It was Crusade, 5 objectives. I had first turn.

Turn 2, he arrives next to the 2 surviving members of a combat squad, and shoots them off their objectives with 2 rending flesh hook shots.
Then he disappears in Turn 3.
Turn 4 he appears again next to 3 scouts in area terrain on an objective near the board edge. Kills 2 with his flesh hooks (failed cover saves) and the third flees off the table.
Turn 5 he disappears again.
Turn 6 he reappears in area terrain, 6 inches from a 9 man assault squad. He kills 1 with Flesh hooks. The survivors turn and fire. He saves 5 bolt pistol shots. They elect to charge. He kills one with a non-rending Flesh hook shot in overwatch. 7 marines survive to make it into combat. They make their charge, and he massacres 4 of them. The remaining 3 whiff their attacks, and he passes the only save he was required to make.
Turn 7 he kills the survivors and consolidates into range of contesting another objective, though there was no enemy unit on it. My opponent elects to fire his Predators TL lascannon at him, and it misses.

Vulkan hestan detached from a squad of marines (with 1w left) and solo'd a squad of marines (who all died next turn to a pie plate), roasted the captain in the squad (he only had 1w left too), challenge was denied and he killed 3, they held fast. Net turn 10 assault marines join their brothers and hestan survives 2 more turns against 20+ attacks per turn making all saves and kiling off 2-3 models a turn. It was glorious because he not only didnt die but got me linebreaker as well. won that battle 5-0 (FB, 2x LB STW and 1 objective to 0 objectives)

Shenanigan? i used my libby to give my Ironclad a 4++ then charged into melee with th/ss termies and killed 3 first turn. Then the other 2 in the enemy turn. Then he consolidated, my turn moved and charged a tac squad who ran off the objective and the edge of the board. Needless to say i hold him in high honor and will always pair him with both a libby and a Tech marine from now on

When I was first learning the game, I had a small battle against my friend (this was quite a few years ago) my nids vs his BT.

It was a very close and brutal game, everything was dying all over the place, so we did what any sane people would do, and took it to last man standing. We both got down to 1 model, thanks in no small part to my ripper swarm base taking out not one, not two, but 3 tacticals. It was running on instincts, charged up to the top of a building, and duked it out in hand to hand with a vindicare assassin, his last model. Both the assassin and the ripper died in the last round of combat, making the game a draw.

Hero ripper swarm. Though we probably made a few mistakes playing.

Over the course of a game a single Carnifex took out a Whirlwind, 2 Rhinos, 2 Tac squads and a Librarian. What makes this even more impressive is that this was with the current codex, not 4th ed. In the same game a Hive Tyrant took out a squad of 20 or so Death Company, Mephiston, a 5-man Tac squad, another Librarian, and a Razorback. By the end of the game I almost felt sorry for my opponents.

I had a group of 5 GK Purgation Squad members w/ 4 Incn get out of their Land Raider Redeemer and kill a pesky Ctan the LR couldn't finish off but the only problem is I knew they were dead bc he had 2 full squads of Necron warriors there behind an Aegis Line.

Since the LR was behind a wall all the Necrons could shoot at was the Purgation Squad and so to save time he rolled both squads to hit and wounds at once and it came to 47 wounds on my 5 guys. Well a 100 pt unit killed a pricey shard at the price of their lives! Ohhhh but wait ..........

I rolled a huge pile o dice and made every save and on the the next turn the Redeemer and the Squad killed all 40 Necron warriors w/ lots of over lapping flamer templates.

I painted up a purity seal and put 1 on each of them and left that unit on the shelf. They were actually fielded again from a Storm Raven w/ a Melta Dread w/ Heavy and Flamer doom Fistvs Dark Eldar. They killed 2 full units of something Dark Eldar and haven't lost a man yet.

Purgation Squad out of a raven /w a dread is really nasty btw. The Raven gets close to any vehicle and pops it. The Dread can pop another and the purg squad w/ 4 Heavy Inc that can ignore LoS and cover mops up the troops.

Then if you need too you can assault but it hasn't come to that yet.

Most insane killstreak according to the expectations of most people on the internet?

Unbroken victory streak: Ten wins in a row across two editions with Sisters of Battle, white dwarf codex.

Most insane shenanigan?

Third edition, Eldar vs Imperial Guard, six Guard squads charge Karandras and some Storm Guardians, then all die to friendly artillery fire... except Karandras survives.

In apoc (5th edition) I once had Ghazgkull take on first a Hive Tyrant, then 2 Carnifexes, then Maugan Ra, killing all of them 1 at a time.

Shenanigans:
I was playing a 3k points battle against my friends necrons. With ork shooting I managed to get his 20 man warrior squad to run (he rolled an 11).
They got within 10 inches of the board edge, I thought I was screwed cos he'd pass his morale and just gauss my orks into oblivion. He proceeds to fail his morale check at the beginning of his next turn, and they run of the board edge.
Same game, my 10 nobz and Ghazgkull charge 20 more warriors with Necron lord w. Mindshackle scarabs. I go full cheese, and issue a challenge with a basic nob to protect my valuable Ghazzy and PK nobz. He proceeds to whiff his attacks against my nob, and my nob whiffs his attacks against himself, I kill some warriors, they flee, and the next turn fail their morale check and run off the table.
I never knew necrons were such wussies.

I'd have to say farsight as well, but not with his overprice bodyguard bomb.

Farsight with 3x crisis suits (4 fusion blasters, 1 plasma rifle, flamer) with 4 drones (2 shield, 2 gun) - this unit regularly over performs against armies who fail to recognize the CC capabilities. They think I will shoot and then jump behind cover, only to find themselves being assaulted.

The units has wiped out many MEQ squads in 1 turn. Small terminator squads are also easy to bring down. Then there is those fusion blasters with target lock, they are quite consistent in taking out tanks from side armour shots.

It's probably my 10 man Eldar Guardian unit.
They have already killed 2 Daemon Princes and 1 Overlord.

Once against Imperial fists, I was playing Relic and got Ghazgkhul, 5 mega nobsz and Mad dok Grostnik to the relic by turboboosting in turn 1.

Long story short by turn 4 they were simply Grostnik and 1 meganob having already wiped out 10 assault marines and Lysander and 5 termies. (Ghaz was killed in the challenge but killed Lysander too)

These 2 orks then proceeded to fall foul of the 1 scalpel short of a medpack rule and were forced to assault squad after squad of marines, in each case surviving overwatch and higher initiative first blows, to continue on till turn 7 game end having without fail killed each squad and moved on. All the while holding the relic.

As for me, i managed to take out 3 terminators with vanilla slugga boys, not really sure how i did that. But the dice gods seemed to have favored me that day!

I also managed to convince a land raider to play tag, as it had this compulsion to chase my orks which bailed out of a trukk it had destroyed, they ran around the wreckage, and the land raider went after them. I had a rather silly opponent... Overall i distracted the bugger for about 3 turns and glanced it a couple of times

My Autarch, who will now receive much history, a name, boss paint job and basing love went pure beast mode.

Autarch with Jetbike, shard of Anaris, fusion gun, banshee mask, phoenix gem. 205 pts of holy gak!!!

In a game vs tyranids, in which the warlord tyrant didn't get iron arm, I shot him with the autarchs fusion gun and stripped one wound. I then charged, got two rends through from the shard of Aanaris, kiling the tyrant instantly, before it could strike. I then consolidated away.
My opponents turn he charged my autarch with 5 gargoyles, now out of synapse range, I cut them down after a failed moral test and consolidated again.
I spied an opening next to a nearby tervigon, a 2"x3" space where there were no gaunts. Charge in with 5 attacks, wounding on a 2+ got me 5 wounds, my opponent figured he wouldn't make 5 3+ saves so just pulled the model. The resulting explosion killed 13 gaunts. I will never not take that model again XD the rage it caused!!!

The other day, I played a "1000" point game with a friend to teach him the game. I actually gave him around 1200. He was using 'Nids, I used GK. I has Draigo and some PAGK.
All the PAGK were dead by the end of the 3rd turn, but Draigo preceded to single-handedly kill everything left on the table.
Over the course of the game he killed:
The Swarmlord and 1 Tyrant Guard
1 Tervigon
1 Venomthrope
2 Zoanthrope
60+ Gaunts.
He stayed locked in CC for over 2 hours and my friend threw every single thing left on the table in CC.
Draigo killed the last Zoan with a single wound remaining.

In one game, I had the same bike command squad either sweep or route of the board 3 units in 3 turns (including a squad of honour guard, a CM, and a sternguard squad... made my day).

Anyone accomplished killing terminators with lasguns? I wonder if i could try that tomorrow..

I killed Logan Grimnar with a Laspistol one time.

I was playing a 12k Planetstrike game and in 1 turn I had a single Rhino tank shock 2 units of Fire Warriors and a full Broadside squad off the board and crush a Crisis Suit with Death or Glory (at the time that was about 400pts worth of Tau).

My Artillery crewmen killed more SM bikers than the big guns themselves.

To be honest, termies go down to lasguns simply through volumes of dice. For the price of 5 termies, you can put out over 100 lasgun shots at close range, and the results are pretty good. FRFSRF is the bane of my deathwing. (well, that and IG commander with power fists, I once had a DWK Squad with Belial taken out by a CCS with power fist and eviscerator priest thanks to some jammy invulns.)

Back in the days of 5th ed tau, I once had mephiston take out most of a tau army as the lone survivor of a 1500 army, by killing the etheral and making half of them run, and then him beating up the rest. I've also had astorath do similar things in a 750 point no-FOC game. It was him and a a squad of Sanguinary Guard, who promptly died, and then Astorath went mental and killed 600 points of tau on his own. Damn I miss his at-initiative S6 ignore saves axe from 5th ed.

I was welcoming someone to our flags. It became apparent, quickly, that he didn't know the game that well, so I tried to slough effectiveness.

In one round:
Snap shot a MM at an av12 building at 20 inches, instead of using the tac squad to tear apart a nearby Fire Warrior unit. Six to hit. Six to pen. Rolled 6 for the result too... Took out 7 FW and put a wound on a broadside in the explosion...

Another Tac squad, with my Captain, shot its plasma gun at an av13 instead of unloading on another nearby FW squad. One shot, glanced on a 6, and stripped its last hull point.

A third tac squad meltagunned an unwounded av13 tank at 10 inches.... And it exploded too.

All that was just my Tac squads, too :(

I tried, but there's just nothing I can do about that...

(Also, I only failed 4 3+s all game, and he failed all but a couple 4+s...)

I did it with grot blastas once. Full squad of Deathwing Terminators, just... dissolved.

I had a full squad of terminators w/ Pedro Kantor. Got hit by a lot of AP2. The first 9 guys failed their 5++s, the Cycloe guy then passed 15 5++s. He and Kantor then trashed 2 razorbacks, 3 assault squads, and were working on a dred when the game ended.

So, first game with the 6th edition Chaos Space Marine Codex, I'm playing against my Friend's Space Marines.

Chaos Lord- Mark of Slaanesh, Veteran of the Long War, Jump Pack, Power Fist, Lightning Claw, Sigil of Corruption

He was joined up with a Squad of MoS Raptors with an Icon of Excess.

Early in the Game Vulcan deep strikes near my lines and melta some stuff, Chaos Lord and retinue jump into him and he issues a challenge, Lord takes a wound from the Relic Blade but squishes Vulcan with his fist. Roll on the Boon table, Unworthy Offering.

The Group jumps over and mauls an attack bike with Lightning Claws.

My friend charges a unit of THSS Terminators with a Chaplin out of a Land Raider and into Lord + Raptors. Chaos Lord issues a challenge and the Terminator Sarge accepts, Lord passes 2 4++ saves and the Sarge fails a 3++. Raptors get butchered.

Roll on the boon table... Dark Apothesis. Chaos Lords ascends into a Daemon Prince, and is free from the combat as a result. He takes this opportunity to slaughter a tactical squad on an objective.

The Terminators + Chaplain catch up to him next turn and charge him again. Prince issues challenges while the Chaplain refuses and whittles down the Terminators over several rounds of combat. Eventually its just the Chaplain left and a pretty beat up DP. Smash the chaplain away.

Ultimately the beast was brought down by Meltas, but man did he make a mess of things!

I field Logan Grimnar, the best/coolest moment I can say was when it was Turn 7 or a Space Wolves vs Space Wolves battle for a Relic. I was down to my Long Fangs, my aegis and it's quad gun and my last group of Grey Hunters which consisted of 1 guy who was holding the relic and Logan who had joined the unit. if I held the relic then I would in the match. So I placed Logan in front of the other guy's land raider and Logan took on Meltas, Lascannon fire and hurricane bolter fire along with some fire from a razorback. He took it all on and I made all the INV saves and armour saves. Something that I should have failed by the pure number of it all. it as just awesome

Back in 3rd when necrons and daemonhunters were new, my GK grandmaster killed the Nightbringer, got lucky with a holocaust a bunch and killed two squads of warriors, went on to kill my friends wraiths and destroyers and forced him to phase out.

My best was a CSM Aspiring Champion with meltabombs vs a Dark Angels player with two Land Raiders (back in 5th).

Midway through the game, his squad charges one of the Land Raiders. He rolls a 6, sticks the meltabomb and blows the Land Raider up.

They then charge the other Land Raider. He rolls a 6, sticks the meltabomb and immobilises it. Next player turn, he hits automatically and blows it up.

From that day on he was known as Captain Meltabombs, and had a meltabomb glued to his side permanently. The funniest thing was, I bought one of the Land Raiders off the guy a few months later.

This weekend I had a single black knight take out 3 guard infantry squads and a platoon command squad solo.

WAY back in the day, old 4th edition Tyranids, I had a sinle Hormagant plow through two 10 men IG infantry squads one at a time and sweep both, then kill a Command squad.

In my last Tyranid v DEldar game, the Doom (by himself) took out approximately 1000 pts of a 2000 pt army.

I usually never get a good streak with one unit. Though the first time I debuted Daemons as allies for my Orks, I brought a Bloodthirster with two Greater Rewards. Got Hellfire Gaze and 3+ armor, the latter swapped out for the Blade of Blood. Played against Razorback spam Grey Knights with Purifiers. First turn, Hellfire Gaze roasted a Razorback. Second turn, roasts two Purifiers with shooting attacks but fails five inch charge on remaining two (squad got pounded by Ork big shootas). Two Daemonettes got the eight inch charge and wasted them though. Turn 3, kills two more Purifiers with shooting, successfully charges in on remaining four, and gets a total of 10 attacks that kills the squad before they get to strike.

At that point, my opponent finally concluded "Do NOT Want!" and shot him to death. Ended up losing the game as well, but I fell in love with the Bloodthirster regardless.

In hindsight, I could have gotten a little more millage if I Vector Striked with him which I forgot I could do.

Every time I run 3 Biovores. Last time I played against Tau with their delicious 4+ saves and bunched up units, three Biovores absolutely gutted three squads of FW in the first 3 turns. Pinning is just a bonus, but the morale checks were just hilarious.

3 turns of most of his units rolling for morale, followed by most running or being vaporized by the Doom. Good times.

Single Executioner tank (tri shot plasma cannon of doom with additional plasma sponsons) who's squadron mates died (demolishers) rolls forwards and unleashes all 5 plasma tempaltes on a large blob of chaos marines. every single one hits with the resulting hits in total are more then there were marines. Before I roll Deaths (not damage due to its AP) the guy just picks up the whole blob off the board saying "They are all going to die anyways", lone tank proceeds to do this to a Termi squad and another squad of chaos marines, unleashing untold amounts of damage and killing many times the points the tanks is worth.

infact, It was this one out of my three executioners.

Once was playing with my Eldar against my friends Dark Angels.
He had a 10 man tactical squad behind cover but my fire prism could see one man in the squad. I took a shot with the large blast over that one guy. Rolled scatter and it scattered over the whole squad. Wound all of them but one (3+). No armour save due to AP3.

That day was a good day.

I posted this elsewhere awhile back, but this remains to be the most incredible thing any of my units has done in 40k.

They get to shoot, managing to put one wound on the Daemon. The Daemon then charges them and in the first turn of combat proceeds to kill all but one Pvt. Macias (I named each man and painted their names on their uniforms...it was a chore). Macias fails to do anything that turn but rolls for his morale test. From that point on the Daemon never again gets another wound on this man. Pvt. Macias then proceeds to beat the Daemon Prince to death with his lasgun over the rest of the game. This guy's aquilas were painted gold after that and he was elevated to being a Veteran. Best moment in all of 40k thus far.

This one is fresh: two weeks ago, we had a Kill Team tournament in my gaming club. The 5th edition "200 points, 3 models with USRs" edition of Kill Team, mind you. I brought a Riptide with Ion Accelerator and Counterfire Defense System and gave him the Psyker USR so I could roll onthe Biomancy table. Guess what? Out of the 6 battles, I got Iron Arm in 4 . In the last battle, I rolled on Divination and got Precognition (the re-roll to-hit, to-wound and failed saves power) . If you think that the Riptide is OP, then play against a Riptide with Iron Arm or Precognition. It will be a valuable life lesson!

I had an archons shadow field take 18 wounds from a thunder hammer squad of death wing termies and deflect all of them.

But even more epic has to be the 3 IG heavy weapons teams that outright killed a DP in one round of combat.

well I recently managed to use a Pathfinder squad to kill two units of Leman Russ battletanks and then killed an HQ, pluys survived the battle. Been doing a lot of damage with those 7 Pathfinders.

Way back in the mists of 5th edition my buddy started himself a Greyknights army as his first army ever. One early game we had, he i made the mistake of letting a 20 man shoota boy squad be assaulted by a 10 man purifier squad (it was ugly). Was a massive kill streak for my friend as he wiped the squad in just 1 round of combat... and a nice kill streak for my boyz when 1 turn later a battlewagon containing 12 burna boyz rolled into template range and showed those dirty purifiers how it was REALLY done.

Biggest shenanigan kill i've had has to be with my shokk attack gun during a battle against a local player's Blood Angel army. Commander Dante and a full squad of sanguinary guard deepstruck out into the open without scattering, using Dante's special rule, in order to try and assault a nob squad and warboss who's battlewagon had been wrecked. During my turn a fire the SAG and target the middle of the squad, roll the dice and it hits the mythical (at least to my dice anyway...) double sixes. I explain to the guy what that means but also tell him i'm a bs 2 and still have to scatter... Bull's eye. Bye bye Dante, bye bye massively expensive sanguinary guard unit. I actually felt kind of bad for the guy afterwards... but not that bad

My Royal Court Disco Inferno tanked a whole Black Templar army (old dex) only losing 2 models?


The other time i ran it, it tanked a whole Grey Knight army, losing almost nothing killing a drednought, 2 strike squads, a full purifier squad, and their stormraven gunship they flew in on.

GK Librarian hits Farsight and his full bodyguard with Warp Rift, every single bodyguard (I 2) passes their Initiative check and lives, Farsight fails on a 6 and gets sucked into the warp alone.

There was one time when my opponent moved a Devilfish halfway up the board just in time for my one scout sentinel to outflank... right behind it - lascannon fires, hits, penetrates, explodes, he then spends the next turn pouring fire onto it, giving my remaining forces time to regroup and make a decent stand.

Points wise that pour little Sentinel paid for itself almost three times over and nobody at the store laughs at my Scout Sentinel squadron anymore (there where words when I got two more to make the full unit though)

I rolled 11 "Hits" in a row with my scatter dice when playing my Dual Manticore IG army. When I finally did roll an arrow the d6s were Snake Eyes!!!

Right after te 4th ed. Tau codex arrived I had a Vespid Stingwing Strain Leader go probably 4 or 5 games as the sole survivor of the squad (and on at least one occasion the sole survivor of the army)... the weird thing was that I played it aggressively, the damned thing ate squads and squads of firepower (mostly from marines) and just shrugged it off every time (bad rolls from them, great rolls from me). On its own it took the lives of an SM Chapter Master (in close combat no less), countless marines and guardsmen, a dreadnaught, a whirlwind, and assorted other models... what ultimately ended the streak? First turn of my 4th or 5th game, I got a bit too ambitious and flew the unit perhaps a bit too close to catachan pattern sentinels armed with heavy flamers... roast insect on a stick....

my friends lone marine survived 2turns of 3 dakkajets worth of dakka (81shots) and sat that lone marine on a objective winning him the game.

a lone killa kan (3rd ed) destroyed 4 Khorn hounds and a bloodthirster. all in CC.

shortly after the DA codex came out, I played a Shooty ork list VS an all bike DA list. game was technically over on top of 1, after i shot (yes ORK SHOOTING) and killed almost half my opponents army, including the guy carrying the Banner that gives them Salvo.

People say Kharn is useless.....
I was using a fluffy World Eaters list and was playing a friendly but mildly strong tyranid list with IG allies.
Kharne was with a full group of Berzerkers and had broken away from them (not a good idea), to go attack 2 tervigons to the side (both were done spawning, one with 3 wounds, one with 4) I didn't expect him to kill one but over 2 turns he killed both, losing 2 wounds, met back up with the berserkers, Blew up an Executioner by himself, and died in the resulting 4 inch explosion. It was awesome .

This weekend I fielded Flash Gitz (WHAT??) and they killed a Carnifex on turn one. I guess he was supposed to be scary but I didn't feel very scared. They also blew up some tyranid warrior guys he dropped next to them and blew apart 20 genestealers coming for them. All while protecting their objective (Big guns never tire)

Second game I had nobs with warboss and painboy get out of a wrecked truck on turn 2 and take out 3 obliterators and some sorcerer hQ. Took tons of shots from 6 obliterators in turn 3. Proceeded to charge 3 of the oblits and take them out. Next were cultists and then they got to sit on the objective for the turn 5 win.

Ok, here's the best killstreak I've been witness to in a game, although I was on the receiving end unfortunately.
The game was 3000 points per side, 1000 for each of the 3 players per side. We were playing until the opposing team was wiped out, none of this objectives nonsense.
Well it was late in the game, and my orks along with our allies had managed to wipe the opposing team off the table except for 1 wraithlord on two wounds.
Obviously we need to kill it before it made a mess of anything, so I proceed to fire my lootas and Big Mek with Shokk Attack Gun at it. For some reason unbeknownst to me, I decide to fire THE SHOKK ATTACK GUN FIRST, instead of the lootas. Of course, I proceed to roll double-1's, destroying the Big Mek, his Loota squad, and about 10 nearby friendly necrons.
Then I decide I need to assault the wraithlord with everything I can in one turn, or else it'll pick my units off one by one. I get my one remaining killa kan just within 18 inches, My big mek with burna and KFF a few more inches out, and my Deff dread w. extra close combat weapon (on 2 hull points) about 6 inches further away. I pass the turn.
He moves 6 inches forward, rolls a double-6 for charge range, and destroys my killa kan.
Next turn, I want to stop him from getting to my Deff dred, so I assault him with my Big Mek. He just kills it in one turn, and consolidates to within charge range of my deff dred, who he then charges in the next turn, and kills as well. I still have an immobilised deffdred with 2 Big shootas further away though, so I just keep firing at him as he closes range, doing nothing before getting smashed in half with his wraithsword.
The only thing that we have left on the board now is a unit of 10 necron warriors who can do absolutely nothing to harm the wraithlord. He chases them around and kills them at his leisure.
It was not a happy day.

This just in - I was playing against my mate who was chaos, and i, greentide with lots of kans, one of his chaos champions challenged my kans (kinda think of it, i don't think we can do that, but i don't have the 6th edition rulebook ) and the kan promptly responded, successfully hitting him in melee, and killing the champion, I said it as if the kan did not give two zogs and just stomped the lil' tin humie!

Not really a killstreak but more of a shenanigan because i found it hilarious for some reason....

My real winner had to be at the end of 5th edition, my Tyranids vs Grey Knights. Doom of Malen'tai drops in the middle of the enemy army. Terminator squad rolls 6,6,6 for it's leadership test. 8 of them die, including all the special equipment, leaving 2 force halberd grunts. He then blew up another with shooting. The Strike squad, meanwhile, rolls 5,5,6. Kzzxplxl!

We did the math later and realized that, in that one round, I took out a quarter of his army. With one model.

That sounds pretty normal, the Doom's a total nightmare against a lot of builds.

I had a vet squad in a chimera snipe a hive tyrant with a lasgun. That was cool.

I also had two melta guns blow up a storm raven. At 12" While being pinned from the explosion of their chimera that killed the other 8 squad members.

Just yesterday, got 11 on the Warp Storm table and turned his Sorceror into my new Herald of Tzeench. Good times

10 man Sternguard squad took out a full squad of grey knights in one shooting round

On Turn 1 in a 500pt game, I used Scout Sgt Telion to guide a krak missile through the window of a ruin, hitting a Tau Battlesuit Commander. The Commander did not have the 2+ Iridium Armour, so the krak missile wounded and was an Instant Kill with no possibility of a save.

IIRC I still lost the game because the Tau player had a large squad of Fire Warriors dug in on the upper floors of the same ruin, and all my squads were footslogging. But it was hilarious, killing his HQ and most expensive model on the very first turn before he'd even moved it.

Back in early 5th i was at GM and one of the employees was giving me a game, i used 3 ork boys to take out a vanilla terminator squad of 5 in melee! much to the confusion of the rest of the store

Using scarabs, I once stripped a Riptide's armour save on the first wound he rolled for.

I once fought AGAINST Mephiston and he cost me 7 Kill Points in FIVE rounds.

This award goes to my Contemptor Dread for my SW, from the day I first fielded and up to this day he has more or less been the hardets hitting thing I have ever fielded, he has killed more HQs, troops and transports than I ever imagied a lone dred being able to do.

My Vindicator fires at Ghazghkull and his merry band of nobs that just had to exit their battlewagon that blew up. I hit and land 7 wounds. He decides to take Look Out, Sir! for 3 of them and take 4 with Ghaz. Needless to say he failed every single 5++, thus losing 3 nobz and Ghaz. So, the Vindi killed over 300 points in one shot, ridding me of the most dangerous model the enemy had on the table. Good times.

Just had this happen to me the other day while playing a small point 1000pt. game with my new Eldar army. Since the player was somewhat new to the hobby I did not take a total jerk list but instead incoorperated a squad of Rangers with Illic for example. He is interested in playing Tau so he took a good chunk of Fire Warriors, some Broadsides and a single Riptide because he loves the model.

Needless to say top of turn 2 Illic shoots his Riptide, rolls a 6 to wound (which makes it rending if I am not mistake) and causes instant death. He fails his ward save and I shoot his full wound Riptide down in one shot!

was playing against ultramarines in 5th with my eldar was losing really bad one model left, dire avenger exarch but i should have had more faith in him
he slew 2 squads of 5 space marines winning me the game(annihalation bad spelling) opponent couldnt believe how well my exarch did
the model was unpainted so i painted him variations of gold as a reward for his prowness in battle

well i was uber happy when my war walkers survived all day without taking a single casualty at a tournament. of course i should probally mention how much damge they put out then, killing landraiders, rhinos, ghostarks, anhilation barges, riptides.... they got all the fun

4 10 man squads of Noise Marines, full sonics, playing against Space Wolves.

Over the course of 2 rounds, wiped out 4 squads of Grey Hunters and 3 squads of Long Fangs. Moved onto their Wolf Guard and Rune Priest next, leaving only razorbacks on the table.

While it will probably never happen again, it was the best 3 rounds of shooting in all my days of playing 40k.

One time twelve or so grots finished off a moderately wounded squad of termies, inducing apoplexy in the beakie player. The first few were lucky shots, but the last one got Grabba Sikked and... I'm assuming cooked alive by grot body heat?

My Wraithknight went to town against a Necron player, completing a full lap of the table, taking out a unit each turn.

Turn 1 - Triarch stalker loses it's only weapon and is immobilised.
Turn 2 - Ghost Ark Explodes
Turn 3 - Shoots & Assaults Large warrior squad with Imhotek. They fail leadership in my opponents turn, running off the table.
Turn 4 - I use the aforementioned Triarch Stalker to move farther with a successful charge, exploding it in the process.
Turn 5 - Shoot & Assault and explode a Monolith
Turn 6 - Assaults a Warrior squad on an objective, denying my opponent any objectives.

He started on my left flank, and ended up in my deployment zone, on my right flank. Missing a single wound.

Then there is my Fire Dragon Exarch, who is reknown for his overwatch shooting, but that's another story.

Nothing I ever do will top my 2nd ed shenanigans. With the codexless squats I needed more power. I needed jump squads and terminator squads. I made a battery of mole mortars and attached spotters. All hearthguard in exo armor (terminators) and hearth guard with jump packs. The rules contorted to my needs. I then discovered the broken combo. 4 guys fire special weapons... guy 5 throws a blind grenade 0 inches. I was 12 and quite a douch. I admit it.

In my last game against my brother's Blood Angels, I managed to net two Kill Points and remove a huge threat with my literal first shot of the game.

In my first shooting phase, my PBS targeted his Command Squad. These guys had jump packs, lots of explosives, and the Sanguinary Guard load out (2+ armor and lots of H2H shenanigans I believe), and would've easily chewed through everything I had to offer. Using Soulstorm, the 9-man PBS passed their Warp test, put the blast directly on the Commander, and rolled a 1 for the AP value. Strength 9, AP1, Large Blast on every member of the Command Squad. Every member took a wound. And every member was removed, including the Commander who failed his Invulnerable Save. One shot, two Kill Points for First Blood and Slay the Warlord. Some incredibly lucky rolling on my part but it was totally worth the look on his face.

The game went back and forth afterward, but he never recovered from the psychological aspect of removing his pride and joy due to some cover-camping chumps and their mind bullets.

I just finished a game against Eldar. Turn 4, my Chimera, which has no troops inside anymore, all weapons destroyed, and only a single hull point left, tank shocks a unit of warp spiders.

They fail their leadership and run off the table.

The Emperor loves him some Chimeras.

My TH/SS Terminators with an IH CM with AI and BB won me a game, by stomping War Walkers, a D-cannon artillery battery, and a big blob of guardians with Fuagen (however it's spelled). My backfield also held very well, giving that 6 man group time to ground and pound those Eldar.

My record is back in 3rd, my orks with looted basilisk vs chaos.

He had 4 rhinos all paired up in the corner and the rest of his daemons were floating around in reserve, I fired and annihilated (all occupants dead) all 4 rhinos, winning the game in a single shot.

Two weeks ago in a tournament, in a necron vs necron fight, I had a unit of 10 scarabs (150pts) take out a Monolith, a CCB, the IA special overlord on the CCB, and the final 4 bases finished off a unit of necron warriors. All in all, over 600pts for that one unit of scarabs.

In the next round of the tournament, they were gunned down like dogs by a unit lootas and didn't actually kill anything.

Having a single boltgun hit ground a flying hive tyrant with FNP and wound it twice. On the first Tactical Squad that shot at it.

5th ed barebones Codex SM Librarian beating a Chaos Lord with bloodfeeder in CC.

Beating 5 lightning claw Deathwing Termies with 6~ Grey Hunters, Prescience and a Rune Priest with sword in CC.

I had a SAG Big Mek roll double sixes on a pie plate over half of a Draigowing Deathstar, Draigo included.

Back in 5th ed, I was playing a large Tau army vs a space marine/IG army. A squad of 6 stealth suits charged and clobbered 2 ten man scout squads and a ten man tac squad (admittedly after shooting the hell out of them) and went on to gun down a Space Marine chapter master and his honor guard, suffering only one casualty themselves.

And as far as shenanigans go, I once killed Vulcan Hestan with a Gun Drone in cc

My power fist Sergeant getting assaulted by a group of 10 Wyches on the third turn.

He manages to survive till the fifth and final turn alive, absorbing whopping 16 wounds total like a boss, while insta-killing Wyches, one at a time.

In that day, both opponents, friends, and few guys as an audience cheered every time he successfully survived Wyches' punishment.

Nowadays, he's a captain.

I had a unit of 10 necron warriors supported by a nearby ghost ark tar pit a chaos lord kitted out for CC from the 2nd turn on. I kept even though I lost every combat, I kept making the assault result break tests and resurrection protocols and the ghost ark kept adding in warriors that didn't resurrect. He'd kill two or three a turn for 5 turns and I kept getting back up to full unit strength and making those assault results break tests.

I love the Noise Boiz. 24" 3 shots. So in 3 turns, you fired ... uhm, carry the one ... 360 shots. My friends hates just my 15 man squad, I can't imagine what your opponent thought of your situation! One of my best times, an Assault Marine 10 man squad made the mistake of CHARGING my Noise Marines. My aspiring champion got to kill the Sergeant, the only remaining model, Gaining EW. Yeah, useless gift, but it was entertaining.

Scout squad with bolt pistol/ccw and melta bombs and power sword on the sarge killed a wave serpent, then the fire dragon squad inside, next a drop podding dread and its pod followed by taking anothe serp down to 1 hp. All for 95pts. We were playing 3k to the death (old eldar dex with da allies against my ba), I was left with an enraged lemartes and the scout sargeant with no way of catching his 2 remaining serps so he won despite the sarges heroics.

Playing a friendly 1000 point game with my brother, My tau wiped his entire elder army off the board in my first round of shooting (attmitedly we were using a small board).

Early 6e before the DA dex dropped I was playing Deathwing versus a friends Black Templar, Very quickly he manages to get in assault range with Helbrecht and a terror squad vs. Belial and his command squad. He issues a challenge assuming Belial will take the challenge, instead I decide 'Screw it!' and soak the challenge with my deathwing Sergeant.......5 rounds later my Deathwing sergeant is standing over the corpse of helbrecht, this is largely due to my Sgt.s amazing armor rolls, and consistently hitting with his TH making helbrecht rather useless.

Tonight, I played Daemons as my primary detachment for the first time. Bloodthirster as Warlord, he rolls Hatred everything as his warlord trait. I also gave him a greater reward which ended up being 4+ FNP.

Played 1500 points against a Mechdar list and he pretty much soloed his army. My opponent poured a lot of fire into him and he didn't even start taking wounds until turn 5. He killed two Wave Serpents (plus some passengers from the explosions), a Fire Prism, and three remaining objective holding Dire Avengers winning me the game.

It's a good thing I got all my dice luck on him too because Warp Storm screwed my invulnerable save three times and my newly assembled Soul Grinder didn't do jack before he got haywired to death by Swooping Hawks. Said Swooping Hawks also wittled down my backfield Plaguebearers before finishing the two of them that survived off in assault.

Ran a 500 point 3 way game with a couple friends. I ran my IG against Chaos and Dark Angels (sigh).

DA player goes DW (sigh again), Chaos runs some cultists/noise marines (double sigh). DW ends up splitting his forces, Belial goes for the Chaos guys, rest of the termies go after me. FRFSRF for two turns, lost some guys to SB fire but the sheer volley of saves he had to make killed the squad.

Chaos and Belial duke it out for a bit, I meander on over and FRFSRF them all into oblivion. Never let it be said blob squads can't own faces, even in 6th.
