Thanks Dee. Have taken a couple of weeks off for the holidays but time to move forward...
First up...
Finish the Wraithknight ( need it for a game on the 2nd ). X-mas brought me some Wraithguard and a Crimson hunter.
I need to finish the project in the works first. Jetbikes, Guardians and Support battery, 5 Avengers.
My weekend time is limited but hopefully I get some time.
FIrst Ever Dakka battle Report...
Necron and Eldar vs Marines. Big guns never tire so Heavies are scoring. Vanguard deployment. We go second. Not sure we played all the ruls correcly but at least we all made the same rule mistakes. ALso doing this from memory days later is tougher than one thinks.
What I remember was 4 tactical squads ( 1 combat squad’d) Centurions ( 2 Las/ Missile, 1 Grav+

Scout deploy in center building. Rhino closest to us get to redeploy due to warlord trait. We bottle up behind the only cover. Wraithknight hold the objective and provides our opponent a obvious target. Our Objective is to stay as protected as possible till our turn two. Objectives are the red lines.
Their turn One
( pic from the opposite side of the table) Rhino Rush!! They pop smoke. Centurion move to get a better shot.
Dev, scout and Centurions fire at wraith knight and cause three wounds!
Our Turn One
Farseer moves to shoot Rhino. I take a gamble and break cover with my Lord and wraiths. The Plan is the Farseer’s Lance pop open the Rhino allowing me to get into
CC, saving me from the rapidfire bolter onslaught. Farseer Misses! ARg!!!! Wave serpent shoots at Centurions, but their 2+ save shrugs everything off! Wraithknight shoots the devastators and kills four. That helps!
Their Turn two
Everything of theirs comes in! Outflanking
LS show up in my backfield. The Typhoon Launches kill 2 wraiths ( rolled two 1’s for saves ). Other
LS deploys on the far table edge and targets the Wave serpent. Saves made. All the Rhinos dump their
tac squads. Mass rapid fire into the
Dlord. He fails only one Save and takes a wound. Lone
dev LC misses Wraithknight. Commander shoots his only weapon capable of huting the Wraith knight and does nothing. Scout w
ML also fails to hit. Centurions cause another Wraithknight wound! The second myside
LS opens fire on the Warrior squad holding our back objective. Killing 2. Stormraven shoots at Wraithknight and fails to wound. WHEW! The far left
tac squad assaults the wraiths and suffer 2 deaths.
Our Turn two.
All 3 scythes come in . Only 1 squad of Jetbikes come in. One doom lines up all the centurions and makes them disappear. The second doom lines up the hovering Stormraven and hit it and the closest Rhino destroying it. The Night Scythe finishes off the StormRaven. The Wraiths and
Dlord finish all but 1
tac marine whom runs. I don’t catch. Wraithnight shoot the 10 man
tac squad and kill 5 The newly arrive JB shoot at the 5 man
tac squad and only kill 2. After reanimating; the 4 man warrior squad takes a
HP of the
LS shooting at it. The
WS doesn’t cause any hits on the Landspeeder. The Wraithguard deploy and shoot the scouts in the building killing 2.
Their turn three
Far table 5 man
tac squad moves and shoots the waithguard causing no damage. Far side
LS shoots the them as well and kills one. The remains of a
tac squad rally automatically and unload into the Wraiths along with the 2 Landspeeders and kill 2 more wraiths. Rhinos move to block warrior squad from shooting the 1
HP LS. Commander take plama pistol shot at wrathKnight causing 1 wound. ( now 1 W remaining). 3 man
Tac squad kill off 2 Jet bikes. Commanders squad assaults. Only he can harm but opts for a single killing attack and misses!
Our turn three
Vipers finally appear as do the 2nd Jetbike squad. Doom scythe ( the one that killed the centurions ) moves to attack the 2
LS. With Vipers kill off both! Night scythe move and kills lone
dev. And drops of 2nd warrior squad to claim objective. Other doom kills of some
tac marines and far table
LS. Wraithguard kill 2 more scouts. Wraithknight and full JB squad shoot into the 3 man
tac squad and fail to kill them.
Dlord splits off from remaining wraith and each assaults ( 1 wraith vs. 1 marine) and both marines are killed as well as the lone Wraith (I must have taken a W somewhere )
Dlord easily kills the 3 man
tac squad.
Their turn four
The commander still In assault with the Wraithknight fails to cause injury and loses 2.
Our turn four
Vipers kill off lone Rhino.
Dlord Kills their commander.. Game Over
