I kinda feel sorry for the guy. I mean, I really don't like the guy's music but he seems to be going into quite a downward spiral these days.
Then again, that doesn't really excuse him from his recent antics.
I saw this on the MSN page when my boss opened his laptop. Something about a red prison uniform. Good for Beiber. Hope Bubba pays him a visit. Beyond that, don't care.
Ouze wrote: Unfortunately, he won't get the felony conviction that we really need, which would allow us to deport him back to Canada.
Ugh, don't remind me. Can we just send him to Siberia instead? We don't exactly want him back. That'll harshen him up right quick, if he doesn't he'll get devoured by the tribal squirrels! Win win for everyone
I love how it takes them nearly four years to finally arrest him for this. It's not like his neighbors complain on a bi-weekly basis about his shenanigans.

Can't stand his music but the guy needs to get away from his handlers for awhile and live a normal life for a bit. If not he is indeed in the spiral and he's not going to make 30.
I know it's fashionable on the internet to hate on celebrities, Bieber in particular, so I try to avoid it. Allow me to attach my neck beard for a moment and say that this kid just seems like a complete tool.
I have a deep-seated loathing of drunk drivers in the first place, and drag racing while intoxicated(allegedly!) is above and beyond psychopathic.

Have you seent anything about his movie? (I don't even dislike his music, I just dislike him)
The kid lives in a fantasy universe where he's his own greatest gift to man kind. Dumb things is part of growing up but Beiber never had to grow up in the first place. His a millionaire 8 year old who's constantly being given a free pass to do whatever he wants.
Apparently, while sitting in the JFK airport, they were covering the story. Somebody told him he was a very talented individual. How talented do you have to be to say "baby, baby, oh" in a sing-song voice. Chance for him to be deported. If so, America will be slightly improved and Canada will suffer a massive blow. You can have him back. If he's eaten by a moose while back in your care, Canada, nobody important will mourn.
No one mentioned that Bieber's father was assisting in blocking off side streets for his son's "drag race" and that Bieber reported to police that he had received the prescription drugs that were in his system at the time of arrest from his mother? I mean that is some juicy family asshattery on the level of the Lohans.

At 19 going on 20 I was more then 2 years in the military, and living overseas. I didn't need caretakers, I didn't need people to take the rap for me. I had my gak together.

When I was 19 I was living at home working towards a job(OR at one, I cant remember) 19 is just the age where you can still have fun, but you have to be responsible.
Im hoping he will be deported, but his plane will be caught in a storm and crash. Weeks later, a dingy is found with everyone but him on it. When asked, the survivors say that they threw him overboard when he wouldnt stop existing.
I really hate the gak. Among these many crimes are: Being the same age as me, and thus sharing my birth year, being the same age as me and thus leading to people my age getting a bad rap, Scoring points off the Holocaust-or trying to anyway, making that awful music, being an immature stuck up asshat, thinking he can do what he wants-something enforced by the fact he keeps getting away with gak and his parents tell him he is entitled to pretty much do anything he wants, etc.....

Nah, that sounds more like a Mat Ward thread.
If Bieber didn't want to be trashed in the media he shouldn't have gotten famous in the first place!

They pay you. Basically, Imnewherewheresthebathroom's argument boiled down to if you have a job they are your caretaker.

Okay, your job at a fortune 500 company feeds, clothes, and pays you. Therefore, they are your caretaker. The point is that having a job doesn't make the corporation, or government agency a caretaker. Imnewherewheresthe bathroom's argument boils down to anyone who makes money who isn't self employed has a caretaker.

That is part of our salary. Just as the housing, healthcare, etc is...
The salary that I make $30,000 less then my average civilian counterpart.
Presumably your civilian counterpart's pay doesn't include housing, food, a clothing allowance, a pension after 20 years, and healthcare for life, either? You say you make less, but those perks add up, too - I wonder how comparable it actually is if you work all of that out.

I'm not sure if your trying to troll or not in trying to compare our work with 7-11... I hold you in high enough regard to think that you are.
I don't think that the two compare.
I do think that military would qualify more of a "caretaker" type job but only because they do provide more benefits in more areas but in return also require much more from people in all areas of their lives. You have more rules being in the military, but you also stand to loose a lot more if you break those rules. 7/11 doesn't give a feth if I get a DUI, but I imagine that you guys would have some issues with your work if you got one.
I don't mean "caretaker" as an insult or anything like that in this situation.

Your presumption would be wrong, since when you factor in BAH, BAS, Life Insurance, and Health Insurance, my "Salary" is about $58,000. Average meteorologist pay in the civilian sector is $92,000.

A DUI at a minimum would result in a loss of rank, and potentially catastrophic amounts of pay. In the current military with the massive cuts we're facing right now, it could result in a total loss of job. As for caretaker, the closest to being a caretaker is the fact that we have rules to live by. As I said to Ouze, all of those "benefits" are a part of our pay. Every penny of that stuff comes into me as cash, and then I pay it out. They don't provide the house, or groceries. The only thing that I don't get the choice on is my medical insurance. Otherwise I could opt to live in a cardboard box and eat bread and drink water all day long and put everyone of those pennies away. It's just all a part of my salary.

"less specialized skills" in the military don't really translate to the civilian sector. An airborne infantryman doesn't really have a civilian counterpart. There's actually very few "less specialized" military jobs out there now a days, certainly nothing on par with a 7-11 job or cashier at a local store type level.

Such as Infantry? I couldn't tell you. The closest thing to "unspecialized" work we have in the Air Force is the guys who sit at the gym and hand out basketballs, and even they can spin that to decent paying jobs on the outside. I honestly couldn't tell you with authority how the counterparts are, but I've got friends who worked as sheet metal maintainers getting jobs at Boeing for $60k before benefits. Another friend whose retiring from a more specialized maintenance job getting job offers in the 100k range.

I've got friends with airframe & powerplant licenses which would command 6 figures on the outside working for 50k a year in the army. One of the strengths of a military job is the fact that they can and will mold you into a preofessional. Taking an 18-19 year old and giving him a weapon that in the civilian sector would be labeled a weapon of mass destruction and trusting him to use it correctly warrants a little more pay than your average 7-11 clerk.

I went active duty when I was 17. I'll retire at 37, with plenty of time for a follow up career.
As long as some asshats in Congress don't push through the axe to our pensions like they've tried recently, I'll get 50% of my pay (averaged from the final 3 years of service), and access to Tricare for the rest of my life (which I do have to pay for, but only something like $30 a month).
In today's political climate of axe the military first, who knows how long it'll remain like that. To me though, that is worth staying in for, and it's why even though I've spent the last 5.5 years eating a gak sandwich, I'm sticking it out. I've got 8 years to go, and while I can't say I have anything close to the enthusiasm to serve that I did a decade ago, now I've just gotta keep pushing it out for that pension.

See, if I wasn't just ridicously fat (which I need to fix anyway unless I want an early death) I wouldn't mind joining the Guard.
i think when a young upstart decided to be an idiot like this they should be sent to spend a week with Sheriff Joe in Maricopa County.
Things they can enjoy while in his care:
Tent City:
They can enjoy the outdoors in Phoenix's 120 degree heat. Sherrif Joe says: "It's 120 degrees in Iraq and the soldiers are living in tents, have to wear full body armor, and they didn't commit any crimes."
Chain Gangs:
Hey if you are in jail you might as well give back to those who have to pay tax to keep your ass in jail.
Pink Underwear:
Prison Food:
mmm Nutraloaf, no meat, no salt, no pepper. 2 meals a day that you have to pay for as an inmate.
I think a week of that would easily clean up anyone's act
I remember someone on here, I forget who, said they read Al Jazeera for news, and was roundly mocked. Man, I didn't think that was funny at all and I think your post and the Buzzfeed article prove it well. I pretty much had to stick to them, Reuters and the BBC for reading up on the Ukraine situation.
retirement bennies from the military and VA is good. Additional income, healthcare, perks...well...its worth it because working on my 2nd retirement now. So 53 (combat deployments. Those who went but do not know hit me up) when I retire a second time I'm golden...if asshats in Congress and POTUS don't screw with us
Am I the only one who hoped his driver would have driven off with him on top of the SUV??
As to the military thing, I'm with a few others, in that I've been in since I was 18, had plans to do 20, but those have been stripped from me due to the downsizing military. On the plus side, the manner in which I'm leaving ensures that I get all the things they messed up in me cared for for life, and I should be getting a chunk of change to go along with it.

Sad but true. Sad but true. This guy is just realizing most of his fans are leaving him for others or just growing up, so he is acting out and trying to keep it from happening.
NO.
Any chance that sees Beiber having a future that does not end in a spiralling fireball is a bad thing.
I was implying a situation like "Angels Take Manhattan" wherein a person touched by an angel (haha, see what I did there?) is whisked away to the past, imprisoned in one spot, and basically forced to live to death.... In this way, this little kid is FORCED to endure his own career, from the "other side" of the spectrum

I seem to remember there being one about stopping Piers Morgan coming back; but don't know if there was for the Biebster...

Earlier I had said he could not be deported because he had not yet been convicted of a felony. In fact, I was wrong - he's only here on a work visa, which is much easier to revoke.
Man, he looks like a bigger dumbass in that picture from the article. I really hope he gets deported, arrested, then Bubba has his way with Bieber in jail.
Really, it'd be nice to see him incur some sort of meaningful penalty for his actions. As an entertainer, he should be accountable for them, moreso than any other, considering how he has influence over such a large audience.

But that's wishful thinking really, isn't it?
If he keeps pulling gak, he will eventually get charged.

It'll be the most polite Bubba in the world... simply because he'd be in a Canadian prison, where even the inmates are polite
Guess which factory now has a new inspector general.
I think he'd be more suited as the guy who puts his face up to the boxes of asbestos and takes a huge sniff to make sure its safe.
I'm sure we can get him to do both.
Tell him that he's to ensure that the boxes have a proper Cannabis smell to them, so that when he sends one back, we can just put it at the end of the line, and he'll sniff the same boxes over and over again
