They have been working for months communicating with multiple companies to convert our remaining pewter teams and the pewter teams of several other companies (Black Army, RAFM, Green Dog, A Band of Orcs, JBDemon Studios and ZN Games) to affordable spin cast resin (Trollcast) with full rosters

The Orc and Pro Elf teams are entirely new. The Calasain team has entirely new sculpted bodies and the Divine Wind and Desert Dogs teams both have 5 new sculpts added to them. So 5 of of the 17 teams are either entirely new or over 50% new. The other 12 are expensive metal teams that we are having done in resin so you can get an entire 16 player team for under $35. (so just barely $2 per a miniature)

(which sounds very reasonable, especially as Impact is a reliable company on KS bringing in projects on or even before time)

There are some horrific sculpts there.

The majority of bloodbowl fans like the 90s style of sculpting and these look like they'll fit right in with existing BB miniatures.

I wouldn't say that at all, though there is a lot less choice at a Bloodbowl level so some players accept sculpts that are less...polished or refined for their teams.

Not saying that there aren't players who like the 90s look, but it certainly isn't an intentional thing in the purchase in most cases, well at least not in the Australian scene anyway.

That's a tempting offer, but seeing as how I don't have any sort of league in my area that I'm aware of, I can't see myself getting a whole team.

Tempting though- if I was going to grab some, I'd probably have to pick up the aquatic team.

I really like the vamp team, and the ability to add some of the already produced trollcast teams as an add on.

Lots of terrible bits and bobs in there, and looks like yet more delays to the troll forged kickstarter as a result. Oh well.

I work closely with Ed every week. And one of the things I am very careful about is to schedule any projects I have around Ed's time he needs to get his KickStarter finished. I'm pushing him as much as anyone to get it finished as its not a lot of fun to try and run new projects and have folks upset about Ed's old projects. So it is a constant topic of discussion and I am strongly pushing him to be completely finished before Gen Con this year. I offered to carry his minis in our booth at Gen Con for no cost for the booth if his KickStarter was completely finished by then.

Nice work there impactminiatures. Good to see people in the industry working together rather than against each other.

Hoping this one makes it to the completion coz I certainly would like some Thallasians, though those Orcs and Elf concepts look pretty spiffy.

So everyone who was in as of (10am this morning) (ie this update) if you finish the KickStarter at GET THE REF or higher reward level will get 2 free $8 less add-ons OR 1 free $14 or less add-on (this will be per a backer (not per a team in your reward)). You'll pick these items after the KickStarter is over when you fill out the pledge manager.

Based on requests I'm working on putting together the graphics for more add-ons in the list. I will be putting up a chart so that you can add-on any of the existing spincast resin teams in our catalog for their normal USD price (but you end up saving on shipping). If this KickStarter really takes off ... I did the math and somewhere around $90k I will be able to offer them as teams that you can select as part of your normal reward but for now they will be add-ons and I hope to have the graphics updated by Monday to show this.

In addition I've been asked to put up our sets of 3 Flaming Skull dice to the KickStarter as add-ons as well. I will be putting them up as well on Monday for $7 per a set.

Great day for funding! We are now only $3000 from being funded and I've been working on ideas to help us get to that point as soon as possible.

The first one is that I just went ahead and included the 4 existing teams I had planned out up to the funding goal since we need to reach that or it is all moot anyway.

So now in addition to the 17 new spincast resin teams ... you can now all choose from the 3 versions of the Sarcos team as well as our Amazon team.

The Sarcos team is available on their website already, though, from what I can tell (under the "$35 Trollcast Teams" header). I was just looking at it this weekend to possibly use as some crocs for another project, looks quite nice.

Minotaurs, Ogres and Trolls ... oh my! Chaos Alliance special through Friday morning!

Made some phone calls/email to get the rights for several of these figures. We now have our 18 new team to bring to the gaming community in affordable spincast resin.

The Chaotic Alliance team is now available as part of the KickStarter! 22 mutants, marauders, thugs and evil non-humans.

Some of the figures in this team are spincast resin versions of limited edition metal miniatures (which will remain limited edition in their metal versions). We went through all the inventory and talked with some of the folks that commissioned some of the limited edition metals and found we only have 25 full sets of these miniatures left in metal before the team is out of stock so we are offering the full team as a metal option. So once these 25 are gone the metal version of this team is gone! The good news is that if all 25 of these sell ... we will fund the KickStarter!

One special note on the pewter team ... there are only 25 (really I'm serious on that) so if you want to include one of these teams for $100 as part of your existing reward ... you HAVE to message me IMMEDIATELY so that I can reduce the limited edition quantity to reflect that. If you do not notify us, the folks actually selecting that reward level will get first dibs to the team (even if you've added the money to your reward level for another reward level).

The team includes 14 human sized mutants and marauders, 2 Might/Strength 4 sized players, one evil goblin, rat, dwarf and dark elf, one coach, and one apothecary.



But wait ... didn't the subject title say there was a special through Friday morning! Yes it did! And its a great offer.

A Chaotic Alliance is just not chaotic enough without some serious muscle options for the team ... so let's give them to you.

I don't believe the poster that you're referring to is actually anything to do with the project itself...?

Whilst the old GW minis are most definitely the inspiration for a lot of these -- Mr Lewis' Chaos All Star team especially t'would seem -- one would suggest they've tweaked enough of the model to satisfy and legal issues.

These are not recasts. We own the rights to the original greens from Phil Lewis that were used to create the figures with his written agreement that he owned the casting rights for them and the other figures are original sculpts as well done with a similar feel to the old chaos. Nothing is being recast.

Or the more likely part I am hoping is true is that they contacted the rights holders (probably not GW in this case if legit) and got the ok.

Project Update #8: Elf Team sculpting finished! Elf free extras for this week!

Juan has finished sculpting the Pro Elf team and I love how it came out.

And I'm looking at the total and we are under $1000 from funding ... sooo close. So the Elves have informed me that if the forces of evil get a great free special this week that they deserve to have one as well. Seems fair.

So here is the offer. Everyone who is a backer of this KickStarter by 9am EST on Friday May 16th who selects a Deluxe Elf team as part of their reward will get an 2nd set of the 5 Elf stars for free. If you are getting a metal Deluxe Elf team the 5 free star players will be in metal ... for spincast resin they will be in spincast resin.

We received a message from the backer that explained he wanted to use the team as Dark Elf variant and so he was planning to get an extra set of the Star Players so that he had 2 Eldrils for Witches and 2 Hubris for Assassins. And we thought ... not a bad idea for making it flexible ... let's give everyone who helps us get to the funding goal this week that option as well!

So let your friends and leagues know that we have a great offer from the forces of good and evil this week but they need to be a backer by Friday morning to get in on the freebies (and help us cross that funding goal!)

I like the idea but the quality between sculpts ranges from crisp details to 80's quality

It's important to remember that these are multiple teams from more than one manufacturer being consolidated together. That's why there's so much variance in both quality and style.

Apparently there are some rumors on the net that Impact doesn't have the rights to some of the models in one of the teams. Here's Tom's Explaination:

Long and short of it, he does have the legal right to produce resin versions of those miniatures. Models that some people believe or conversions or recasts are actually re-sculpts based on the conversions from the original models. There are also some questions about casting miniatures that were limited edition in metal... once again,
In super short, Impact is being negatively impacted by some inaccurate rumors.

Wow, that's some drama right there. But his explanation seems totally reasonable to me... in fact it seems that he worked closely with the person who originally made the conversions to have new, similar sculpts made of them... not really sure why 5 backers would drop out (and almost $3K in value) over that

A real shame some are getting so upset over what is clearly a non-issue

(and since the big drop is a league pledge it sounds like one person in charge of a group buy is the one with the problem)

Project Update #10: Chaotic Alliance update

Okay had some good conversation offline and some of the posts on this thread have given me insight.

TP's post was good ... it asked the question: When the original 500 castings of each of the limited figures was made ... was there a promise that no more of the model would never be created?

It was many years ago and I just do know 100% know the answer to that question.

So with that in mind ... I'm going to err on the expensive side as I said ... this is not about making money but doing the right thing by the backers and the community.

I will work with a sculptor to have the 7 older figures that were the limited to 500 castings sculpted again and I'll show them in future updates.

The metal versions will still be the original figures as that is from the original casting run of 500k and they are not extra castings so they are the original limited edition run of the figures.

The Trollcast team will only use the new versions of those 7 figures. This will absolutely guarantee beyond any question that the mass produced team in Trollcast does not have any limited edition models in it.

This is not the cheap plan as I now need to have 7 new models created instead of spending that money making a Ogre Oni for the Divine Wind or a Djinn for the Desert Dogs ... but it makes sure that I am putting my money where my mouth is that reputation and integrity are really very important to me.

So consider this official. The Trollcast version of the Chaotic Alliance will be getting 7 new sculpts that will look similar to the previous limited edition models but will not be brand new thus preserving the limited edition status of the metals.

As I get images of them ... I'll post them up.

And by backing now instead of waiting for the KS Remind ... you'll be able to get the 3 free Big Guys with Chaos or the free 5 Stars with Elf Deluxe.

The funding goal for this project was big for this niche. Normally KS projects get little funding in the middle for this area as everyone waits for the Remind to see what all freebies they will be getting.

We wanted to enable the project to keep moving forward and reward the people who are willing to get into the project without waiting for the very end. This helps it fund quicker and helps us hopefully hit stretch goals that everyone can enjoy after funding before the final days of the KS.

So sorry you are pissed. I admit what I am trying is something a bit different ... I'm doing layered early birds in effect. So far it has helped keep pledges and interest during what would normally be a slower period.

Goal was not to piss you off for sure ... and by backing now ... you are getting in for one of the layered early birds that someone who waits for the Remind will not get.

We had several people ask us if we could please provide balls as part of the KickStarter and we want to help them get them.

We offer a product that I think is great for gaming. The ring part of the ball is flexible so it can easily clip around a leg, an arm or a neck so the player with the ball does not have it fall off as you move the figure around.

There are 4 styles of balls. Spiked (for standard play), Steel (for hard core teams like Chaos, Dwarf or Ogre), Jewelry (a stylized ball for teams like Elves) and Lunchbox (as Halfling need someone to store their snacks).

Finally the last ring is a Bonehead marker so you can easily keep track if your Big Guy loses his mental train of thought while playing.

Each Ball/Bonehead ring is a $3 add-on



And we wanted to make one more early backer special offer. For every backer who is a backer at the point that we fund (including the person that push us over to being funded), we will include a free ball/bonehead ring with every Metal team in their reward (backer can choose the ring). Early birds that expire before you've shown all the teams are stupid. Having people discover your Kickstarter and find out that they are already getting left out makes them less likely to pledge. An early bird that only applies to people buying the metal teams, and not the Trollcast teams that are supposedly the focus of this Kickstarter is doubly stupid.

@AlexHolker... read the bonuses again. I think you are missing the details.

Or to put it another way.... lots of "time-limited pledge bonuses" can and do backfire later in the campaign, when people who discover the campaign later (like I did) get pissed off. When someone sees the campaign for the first time in 2 weeks and finds that they missed out on two handfuls of freebie extras, they are much more likely to say "feth it" and not pledge. This is doubly so in a campaign that is not centred around the Mantic/CMON model of buckets of stretch goal freebies.

And I say this as someone who is now pledged, and eligible for anything else you add in this way.

I can definitely understand this stance.

However my counter to this is:
1) We already announced that once we fund we'll bring something new to the KickStarter every $1000 so it is not like all the goodies will be run out if they do not join.
2) The whole purpose of these specials is to get a KickStarter with a funding goal much higher than normal to get funded. As soon as that happens ... all the future goals will apply to old and new backers going forward. The current special will actually go to far more Trollcast teams than metal as we have several thousand $ in backers at the Pitch Invasion level for Trollcast teams. The point of the special is to get the items that will help us cross the finish line quickly encouraged and those are the big league orders and metal teams. There is a very specific reason for the target of this offer.
3) I realize that some get left out by doing these specials. But as someone that has now run many KickStarters ... the middle is normally a wasteland. Virtually no one pledges in the middle of a KickStarter. Its all about waiting for the Remind email to go out and see if enough free stuff if there to make you want to pledge. If we allowed that to happen ... funding this KickStarter could end up being an active question mark. So we did these staggered specials all to help encourage backers to join us in the middle of the KickStarter when they normally would not bother and help us reach that funding goal. Based on my previous KickStarters that I've run ... so far the strategy seems to be working. We've had several strong funding days in the middle now when normally the traffic would be next to nothing. So while I fully understand that there are some that will strongly feel the way you do ... at least based on my experience running these ... there are more people who are pledging to get in (and help us get funded) than would normally be the case. Using our own KickStarters to create a math model of what we should have expected with this KickStarter ... we normally make 51% of the total ending value of the KickStarter in the first 3 days. On the final 3 days we make about 20% on average. With 29% coming in even spaced over the days inbetween. This is based on our last 6 KickStarters. Based on that math we should have average $216 per a day for the last 15 days that would put us inline with all my past experience with running a KickStarter project. Our average for the last 15 days has been $604 per a day (slightly less than 3 times what would be expected). So far it is definitely not working like any of our previous KickStarter. Which means it is either a better product than what we have done in the past or the special offers to get us up to funding are having the desired effect to help push the project to get in backers to reach the funding goal.

I went into all this explanation because I do read and think about all feedback we get. And I wanted to say ... while I take no pleasure in making a possible backer think he has missed out ... at the same time ... I hope all the above explains why we did it and the effect it seems to be having.

The other answer is that everything on that KickStarter reward level wise is less expensive than it will be to get the items when they are in retail later. So in effect everyone is getting a special offer even at the single team level. It might just be my mindset. I've never pledged for any of the 75 KickStarters I've backed because of freebies (either early bird or stretch goals). I've always pledged because I like the product being offered and think the price is right for what it is and the the risk of not getting it is minimal. Because that is my mind set ... I set up this KickStarter to offer a discount at the lowest pledge level for a team and had it only get better with every reward after it so that everyone who supports the project gets a deal and in that regard ... no one gets left out who backs the KickStarter.

Team #19 Added ... Dark Elf variant

Based on some great discussion in the private messages I discovered that there were several backers who would prefer to use the Pro Elf team due to their armored nature as a Dark Elf team. However they would prefer not to use Eldril as a Witch and Hubris as an Assassin. So we talked with our sculptor about his schedule and he has agreed to sculpt us an Assassin and Witch to go with the team and that he should have them finished by month end. These means we can now offered team #19 ... a Dark Elf team in a standard and Deluxe version in spincast resin and a Deluxe version in metal. Please note ... if you were getting a Pro Elf team and would prefer a Dark Elf team ... you can switch over and any previous offers will be valid regardless of which Elf version you get. We'll replace the shadows in the images with the 3-D sculpts as soon as they are finished.



In addition, with this announcement we wanted to offer 3 extra Add-on offers. Each set of the figures below is $10.

Thank you backers for helping us reach this point!

For our first stretch goal which we'll reach at $26,000 ... I've had several messages from backers who were requesting a team to be included in the list of teams that you can pick from for your reward. And we are going to add in the one that is being requested the most. The Pharaohs (which is a 22 player spincast resin Standard team or is 27 players in Deluxe).



We also wanted to include a freebie with this stretch goal as an extra reward for our backers so anyone getting the Deluxe version of the Pharaohs will also receive a pewter copy of star player Sutekh from our miniatures range with the Deluxe team (already shown above in image of Deluxe team). Here is a closer look at Sutekh:



Questions from backers

We'had two reoccurring questions I wanted to answer directly in an update.

1) Yes you can get the Dark Elf (or Pro Elf) set of Specialty players in Metal instead of Trollcast if you want. The set will be $20 as an add-on. And unfortunately we cannot swap the Star Players for a set of Specialty players.

2) If you are pledged for the Skyscraper level and get a Standard team as one of your 5, then you can get a $10 or less add-on with your reward (this will be automated in the pledge manager). If your qualified for the free Chaotic Alliance upgrade as an early backer and you are a Skyscraper reward level backer and pick the standard Chaotic Alliance team as part of your reward, you get both the free Chaotic Alliance big guy pack and a $10 or less add-on.

Pharaohs team unlocked. SSB Chaotic Minotaur add-on at $27,000

Yesterday we unlocked the Pharaohs team in both Standard (22 figure) and Deluxe (27 figures) (with Deluxe including a free extra pewter figurine for the KickStarter).

Next stretch goal is the SSB Chaotic Minotaur which is an imposing big guy on the field (50mm from base to top of miniature). He comes with a claw, normal and tentacled arm. We will unlock him as an add-on at $27,000 and to make him a great offer for the KickStarter backers he will be just $12 as an add-on.

The fact that he isn't really wearing any sort of sports gear means I can casually dump him into all sorts of other games too. Liking the crab claw myself.

Is it possible to ditch the left arm and stick the tentacles on there as well?

Trollcast is nice and easy to cut/glue so I don't see why you couldn't

Dark Elf team completed + a bonus add-on Star Player

Juan has finished the Dark Elf new sculpts for the team and they look great. We made sure the armoured design from the original Pro Elf team carried through to these new players so that the overall Dark Elf team would look like a true full team. In addition during the process we ended up designing a different looking Witch which we will be casting separately. Roxanne the Dark would work great as a Star for your Dark Elf or your Amazon team or just as an Evil Sorceress on the sidelines (or in a dungeon crawl). Roxanne will be an add-on figure that can be added to any reward.

Yeah, there's a bit of an old-school Slaanesh/KoS vibe to him with the claw.

Not a fan of the Witch's hair. The 80s are dead, and they should stay dead.

SSB Chaotic Minotaur unlocked ... Siringit team with free extras unlocks at $28,000.

We reached $27,000 ... thank you backers! That unlocks the SSB Minotaur as an add-on option for only $12.

So what is the next goal. The next stretch goal is for the Siringit team. This is a team based on African anthropomorphic animal players. It makes a roster with a lot of options for Elfball and is the Deluxe version of the team makes a fun and different Chaos, Chaos Pact or Orc roster for other games.

We wanted to offer our backers something extra if they pick up this team. So at $28,000 we will include a SSB Chaotic Minotaur, a Sarcos Leviathan and a 2nd Thrower (Hyena) for free with Standard version of the team (making it a 15 figure team with 3 Big Guys) The Deluxe version adds on 5 more players, 2 power warrior figures (Rhino and Hippo), 2 more blitzer/lineman with horns figures (Cape Buffalo and Warthog) and a sneaky Ratman.

It should be noted that the Deluxe team as a pick for your reward is a great deal as it normally sells in our online store for $61 (compared to the $45 for a normal Deluxe team in our online store).



Also we wanted to let the backers know we added an additional Vampire figure to the Standard Vampire team for free. No stretch goal for this ... just an extra to thank our backers.

Juan is making great work on some projects we've requested to try and make this KickStarter better and I look forward to revealing that work when it is completed.

Being one of the organisers of SSB and having a couple of these myself I can assure you that the Trollcast material is fine for the converting.
Realistically though you are probably going to want to greenstuff the joint to get a believable angle though.

$28k Stretch Goal reached - Siringit Added / $29k Stretch Goal - Under sea goodness

We reached $28k ... thank you backers! The Siringit are now available as Deluxe and Standard reward options.

For the $29000 Stretch Goal, we have a few new items to offer (2 new add-ons and 1 set of free extra figures for one of the teams)

Stretch Goal $29,000:

First at $29k we'll be adding two Big Guys to the Add-ons section. Great extras for the Deep Ones teams if desired. Cthulhu (with HP) and Dagon. Cthulhu will be $8 as an add-on and Dagon will be $6. The set will be $12 if you want both.





Second improvement we will add-on at $29,000. We will add 4 spin cast resin Sharkmen to the Deluxe option for the Deep Ones team for free.



Finally ... Since we had already agreed to produce the Orc team to help out the Star Bowl Indiegogo campaign when they ran out of funding to create the team, we had Ed start working on it and the mould is 99% finished ... so we should be able to call that team completely finished very soon as the test casts look great. This is one of the Blockers, the Star Orc and the Troll.



Really happy with this KickStarter so far and I'm working on hopefully a great announcement for what is planned for already to be released at $30k, $40k and $45k. (but I still plan to come up with other stretch goals every $1000 between those goals.

Platypus "goblin" team added to $29,000 Stretch Goal


Based on comments and feedback ... we've had a lot of requests for a Goblin team. The problem is that the budget and more importantly the time required to create an entire Goblin team is just not feasible in the budget of the KickStarter (or if we want to make sure we delivery by the promised delivery date).

However ... I have had several backers ask if we could do something with the Platypus figures that Impact! currently has in metal. So after much consideration of options on the best way to do it ... we offer the Platypus "goblin" team. Each Platypus is 22mm from base to eye ... which is a great Goblin height and they are more beefy.

The Standard team will contain enough components to make 20 different Platypus players. And as requested ... the Deluxe team will include 2 Tantors for Big Guys. We will also unlock at $29,000 an add-on pack to get 6 pewter figurines for $14 that could add some beasts to your Platypus team for a different play style.

Now full disclosure ... 95% of this team was sculpted by Patrick Keith and it looks really sharp. I've spent the last few days coming up with some conversions that we could cast for ball & chain and pogo platypuses. I'm happy with the pogo ... I think it looks good. The Ball & Chains ... okay I went for fun sculpts with what I have the talent to create. Could they be better if professionally sculpted ... oh yeah ... not a question ... but where I lacked still I tried to add fun and character by using an Ogre Skull and solid metal footballs as the items being swung. So full disclosure on those items has been giving. I also converted a couple heads to being wearing bomber googles and one with an eye patch ... just to give you some variety with the head options.

Final team will have the following parts (as pictured below)

I actually really like this team concept and am glad to add it on as the 20th team being offered with this KickStarter. Thanks you backers for the suggestion.

And finally ... in case anyone is saying ... but Elephants, Lions and Hyenas are not Australian! Yeah ... I know ... I know ... but its again a matter of time and money and options that can be done and cannot be done. If I had more time ... I'd sculpts up a Dingo Thrower, a Tasmanian Devil and Kangaroo Blitzer and a Wallaby Lineman to go with the team and then also create a Koala/Drop Bear Big Guy for the team. However ... that will mostly likely need to be another day and maybe even another KickStarter (maybe with a Goblinoid team at the same time). ;-)

I thought a croc would have been a bit more of a thematic fit for an Aussie team, what with the crocs and all that live in every puddle over there...

The chainsaw is terrible. The Loony should have a proper sized chainsaw with some actual detail on it, not that knife.

Platypus team unlocked ... $30,000 stretch goal ... Dark Elf team revisions

We unlocked the Platypus team as the 20th new spincast resin team being offered in this KickStarter ... thank you backers! (and you can get the Deluxe team with 2 Tantor, 2 Leviathans or 1 of each for Big Guys) We also unlocked the discounted Cthulhu and Dagon miniatures as well as add 4 free Sharkmen to the Deluxe Deep Ones team. I'm running a booth at PopCon geek culture convention so my ability to update all the graphics is limited ... but I will get it finished as quickly as possible to change the front page to reflect this.

Stephen and I have been working with Juan to try and make the new Dark Elf team as good as possible ... I'm very happy to announce our work will be added to the KickStarter at the $30,000 Stretch Goal.

At $30,000 stretch goal:
•1) We will be changing the standard Dark Elf team to have 2 Witch Elf #2 (Roxy the Nail)
•2) Both Roxanne and Roxy will include 2 heads. The big hair and the pulled back big hair.
•3) Both Roxanne the Dark and Roxy the Nail will be available for separate purchase and will come with both head versions.
•4) The Dark Elf Specialists Pack will include 2 Assassins and 2 Roxy the Nail (Witch Elf #2)
•5) We will replace Dolfar, Jordell and the Prince in the Deluxe version of the Dark Elf team with Horkon, Ithaca and Roxanne.
•6) A Dark Elf Star player pack will be created for $14 which will be Horkon, Eldril, Hubris, Ithaca and Roxanne
•6) Early bird Backers getting a free set of Elf Stars will be able to choose to get either a Pro Elf or Dark Elf set as their free set.

I know we had mixed reviews on the Roxanne model ... so we are making the figure in the standard team the dynamic model. However in the Deluxe version you'll get the 2nd pose and so if you like the original ... you'll still be able to get it and with the multiple head options if you wanted 2 different poses for the team ... then you could use the dynamic Witch Elf #2 with a different style of hair as your Star Player.

We also wanted to announce a stretch goal for $35,000:

At $35,000, we'll include a free Roxanne figure with each Standard (or Deluxe) version of the Dark Elf team. This will give you both poses to work with in Standard and 2 copies of each pose in Deluxe. In addition, we will add a free Roxanne and a free Roxy to the Dark Elf Specialists pack giving it a total of 6 figures.

More items will happen then just this at $35,000, but we wanted to let everyone know that it is a goal that we know we can set already based on the project costs to offer it.

I think the Dark Elf team turned into a great 19th team to offer with the KickStarter and I appreciate the backers whose suggestion led to our great new $30,000 stretch goal.

Full Dark Elf team unlocked! Apes of Wrath unlock at $31,000

Thank you backers ... we've unlocked the full Dark Elf team with their own set of full 5 Elven Star Players. Shown below (thanks to monsoda.com for the image).



Now I had a special new figure announcement ready for $31,000 .... but it is not finished yet. So I'm moving the $32,000 Stretch Goal up while we get that finished.

At $31,000 we'll unlock a Standard and Deluxe Apes of Wrath team that you can pick as one of the teams for your reward.

The Standard team comes with 18 players and the Deluxe team includes an additional 7 models. The Standard teams plays great as Orcs and the Deluxe version allows you to play easily as chaos influenced Dwarves, Humans or the Apes of Wrath roster made popular by ThreeDieBlock.com and the New Zealand fantasy football leagues.

That's number definitely allows us to unlock several more items before we are done. So I wanted to make an offer as a Stretch Goal for the brand new teams that are being created for this KickStarter. If we reach $43,100 as projected by KickSpy.com, I'll include the 3 Star Players from the other Elf race with each Deluxe team for free. So a free Jordell, Dolfar and Prince to all the Dark Elf Deluxe teams and a free Horkon, Roxanne and Ithaca to the Pro Elf Deluxe teams. For the metal teams we will also include a free metal set of the Specialist players from the other team. We do not want the Orc teams to feel left out ... so all Orcs teams at $43,100 will include a free Band of Orcs to cheer on the team from the sidelines (resin for resin and in metal for metal teams).

How about the Amazons? Have there been any stretch goals that reward buying that team during the Kickstarter rather than later?

The Amazons are slightly cheaper via KS (for me in the UK)

but have a check on the impact site to see if they are for you or not (you may need to mess around with your country)

Ok, 2 things...
#1. Any of the trollcast teams can be added at the end for their retail cost.
#2. The kickstarter is predicted to get $43,000. The Impact guys will continue to add teams at the discount ever $2k or so, and more big guys and other specials on the alternate. So, the Amazons will most likely be at a discount.

I did specify "Assuming there's no barrier to paying in US dollars". So do I have to pay in Australian dollars, if I order via the website? Because in AUD you're charging 16% above the exchange rate, before shipping.

Yes orders have to be in the currency best matching the country. The prices are above exchange rate in the store to help offset the cost of shipping. You can place the orders in GBP as well for any order ... but orders made in USD for non-US customers we have to send follow-up invoices to in order to collect the difference.

Apes of Wrath unlocked! Women of Impact! and Kari unlock at $32,000.

Since we are entering the final 10 days ... I wanted to keep the updates coming out as we have new information to share.

Thanks to our great backers we have unlocked the Apes of Wrath team. 18 figures in Standard and 25 figures in Deluxe. Image of the team has been posted already to the front page of the KickStarter.

At $32,000, we'll unlock the Women of Impact! team. While this team is most likely going to be put on the football field (although that would be an interesting look) ... they are the force on the sidelines that keep the team in the game and going when the chips are done. 17 of Impact! different female sideline figures and one set of Beer Barrels to serve up your favorite brew.

In addition, we will unlock a special beer barmaid. Her name is Kari and she is a major character in the The Serin Prophecy book series being written by Bryan O'Neill of www.bryanoneill.com. Impact! recently negotiated a license to create miniatures for the major characters from the books and Kari is the first one in the series. We happen to think she could make a really fun sideline figure to track that inducement. You can get 4 Kari figures with the Deluxe option for the Women of Impact! or you can just get a single Kari as a $5 add-on for your reward in spincast resin.

Juan expects to have the Kari sculpt finished before this KickStarter is over so we wanted to offer her first to our backers of this KickStarter.

$33,000 Stretch Goal ... Deluxe Desert Dogs and Divine Wind new figures!!!

Okay so I go out of town for just a bit and we bash through $32k and almost make $33k before I can get to my laptop. We'll I have some fun news to celebrate that.

1st: Women of Impact! are now added to the list of Standard and Deluxe teams. In addition, the Kari model is available separately for $5 a piece add-on in spincast resin. She would make a great figure to represent the Beer Babe or Zlurpee Keg inducement for your favorite fantasy football game. Juan finished up Kari and she is shown at the bottom of the update.

However ... let's first show what is new coming at the $33,000 stretch goal.

We are adding Deluxe versions of the Desert Dogs and the Divine Wind at $33,000. In addition, the new model will be available for both teams separately as an $11 add-on. Planned price for the figure in our store is $12 for each one.

Now Juan had to go out of town ... so these are both WIP and some final details are still coming.

The Divine Wind team Deluxe option will now include an Oni Ogre. Juan is still planning on adding an oriental sash on top of the pants to finish up the figure. The Oni Ogre is 40mm tall to the top of his head. You can also just get the Oni Ogre for an $11 add-on.



The Desert Dogs team Deluxe option will now include a Djinn Ogre. Juan is still planning on adding an 2nd head option that will be bald with a top knot and beard and bushy eyebrows to finish up the figure. The Djinn Ogre is 40mm tall to the top of his head. You can also just get the Djinn Ogre for an $11 add-on.



Very happy with Juan's work on both of these figures for us.

And as promised here is the Kari, Bar Maid sculpt from Juan that is already unlocked part of the Deluxe Women of Impact! or separately for $5.



We have several more free add-ons planned for the upcoming stretch goals on the $1k increments to help us reach that $43,100 stretch goal for the free Elf and Orc add-ons.

There's some nice stuff in this KS, but people keep mentioning (to me at least) concerns about Trollcast, especially after Tre's campaign and so forth. Tom mentioned that he's had a lot of other teams tooled and spun in TC, so I was thinking it might be good to show some good quality unpainted Trollcast Fantasy Footballers "as is" - as in just like the ones that get sent to customers/backers.

If they're as good as Tom says, it might allay some fears now that we're in the final stretch?

As soon as we funded we asked TF to start working on the moulds for the project and several are already finished. I am posting links to the images of two of the new teams that are already completely finished from this KS. One is a mould from our existing pewter range and the other (the Orcs) is for one of the 3 fully new teams being offered in the KS. Due to size ... I'm just posting links as I did not compress them so that you can see them at 4x actual size to show I'm not trying to hide anything.

So happy to step up to Azazelx's request here. I talk with TF on the phone 2 to 4 times a week. My business partner lives 5 minutes from TF and can personally go in at any time to discuss our timing and projects in person and review things on site. I have no problems saying that any previous KS concerns with TF just do not apply to our KS projects now. We had a learning curve with our very first KS with them back in 2012 but we actually learned from it and changed a lot of things with how we work with TF and have completely happy and satisfied every since.

Necromicon team is unlocked. Better Reptiliad image and finished teams to see!

Due to an error on my part ... the backers get a bonus. The Necromicon team was supposed to unlock at $34k but on my update I said $33k ... so I don't backtrack on what I say if I can avoid it ... so consider the Necromicon team unlocked and available to include in your reward!

I'll send a 2nd update after this one to show what unlocks at $34k as well as what the stretch goals are from here to $45,000 so you know what we are aiming for in terms of getting freebies and more unlocked teams.

I realize took a really bad team picture of the RAFM Reptiliad team being offered with the KS and they really are a great team. This is what I personally use to play Slann when I go to tournaments as the minis just say leaping and diving. I love the action poses in the team and the sideline figures have some of the best character of any I've seen. So I went out this morning and took individual pictures of my painted team in the sunlight to try and show them to you as best as possible because it really is a team you should consider for your collection.



Also as mentioned in the comments. We had a request on Dakka put to us to post images of unpainted Trollcast figures to show that A) we can get the figures promised in the KS and B) that the quality is there. As soon as we funded we gave funds to Trollforged to being making the moulds and several are already finished. Below are images of the final teams unpainted and without photoshopping for the Black Widows Deluxe and the Orc Deluxe in spincast resin.

Deluxe Valkryie and Deluxe Vampire unlocked. Remaining stretch goals announced!


We just reached $34,000, so we have unlocked the Valkyrie team in both Standard and Deluxe versions. The Deluxe version adds in 2 extra Big Guys which allows you to have a choice of big guys or to play the team as a very Nordic chaos pact team with 3 northern big guys. (see image of team at bottom of update)

In addition to unlocking the Valkyrie team, we have unlocked a Deluxe options for the Vampire team. This is a set of 7 figures that give you the Pumpkin Queen set (wizard), 3 extra Pumpkin markers for score and re-rolls as well as a Vampiric minion cheerleader. Some sideline extras with a halloween feel for your vampire team. The expansion set is also available as a stand-alone add-on for $14.



So that is what just unlocked. What unlocks going forward??? Here is the list of the stretch goals between now and $45,000. Let's see how many we can unlock!

Final version of the 2 new Ogres (Oni and Djinn)

Sorry for the 3 updates in one day but as we close in on the end I want to get the information to you as soon as I can.

Juan finished the 2 new Ogres and I can show you the final looks for them. The Djinn Ogre will come with both head options. Both Oni Ogre and Djinn Ogre are 40mm tall and will sit on a 30mm base.

Those stretch goals are amazing. I'm so hoping for $43,000 because I planned on getting me a Dark Elf team and the Pro Elf specialty players anyway. This kickstarter is feeding my plastic/resin crack addiction like no other!

Wait.. don't the deluxe elf teams already include those figures?

Yeah... I'm really hoping that we can get to the $43,100 level... as, that's just awesome. Bonus though... if you get either of the elf teams in metal, you'll get the positional players free (at $43,100).
There is so much good stuff in this kickstarter I'm finding it hard not to spend all of my hobby money for the next 6 months.

For simplicity ... I dropped the $43,100 stretch goal to $43,000. Make it nice and easy to remember something happens every $1k. I would love for us to reach the $43k goal and so I tried to make that a good stretch goal for what the backers would get.

Final 48 hours ... last push for unlocking stretch goals

We are in the final 48 hours and we've unlocked a lot of stretch items between funding and tonight. Thank you backers for your support! One last big push to social media requested. Facebook, Twitter, game club forums ... let them know we are in the final 48 hours to give us a big push to unlock the remaining 9 stretch goals before the KickStarter is finished.

Today was a great day. 2 Stretch Goals unlocked and a 3rd one very close to unlocking.

The two unlocked goals today were:

UNLOCKED - $35,000

1) Free resin Roxanne figure included with every Standard and Deluxe Dark Elf team

AND

2) Deluxe Deep Ones will be upgraded to also include 4 goblin sized octopus players and 1 Tentacled Chainsaw player. $37,000 unlocked. Multiple add-ons included and a free animal mascot.

Updated the front page to show all unlocked stretch goal effects through $37k.

And we reached $37k! Thank you backers!

So we'll include a free animal team mascot figure for free with every RIOT and higher backer. Use it for turn/score/re-roll marker, sideline decoration or something to hand the child wanting to play with your fantasy football figures (assuming he/she is past the edge to want to try and eat it).



We also unlocked 4 figures as now being available as discounted add-ons.

Tantor and Werebear for $8, Gorillataur for $4 and the Helmet Stand score/re-roll/turn marker for $3

The Scotling team can now be part of your KickStarter reward in either 15 player standard or 20 player Deluxe.



I know many backers are still looking at the $43k stretch goal. It is still in reach. We've had to 24 hour period so far in this KickStarter where we make more than the amount we need to reach $43k so make sure you league makes get those add-ons reported to you and let's see if we can reach that goal!

Gnomes and Black Rock Dwarves unlocked! Bonus Impcrusher for 2 teams

I want to keep the number of updates today as focused as I can so I do not end up spamming inboxes today. We are just $112 from $40,000 so I'm going to go ahead and call that stretch goal unlocked since I'm positive it will happen before we finish.

As an extra bonus for us reaching $40,000, I am adding in a free Impcrusher with the Deluxe versions of the both the Scotling and the Gnome teams to give them more bang for your investment in them. In addition, I am adding in a Bertha Bigfist into every Valkyrie Deluxe team now as well. The team currently comes with a scaled down version of her in the Valkyrie Giantess (which is about 10mm shorter). So now the Valkyrie Deluxe team will comes with both versions and you can pick which one you want to use.

The project has blown past the prediction on Kicktraq and Kickspy has upped it's projection. We are just over $2,000 short of the $43,000 level that I hope so dearly to reach.

Soooo close to the Elven freebies. Middle Kingdoms team unlocked w/Deluxe option

We are now under $1,500 from $43k. To put this in a different set of terms ... we only need 8 new Starscraper Special backers to reach $43k. So if you are in Europe ... make sure to get your friends to pledge before they had to bed so that we can unlock that Elf stretch goal for everyone!

In the meantime we reached $41k and unlocked the Middle Kingdoms team and I'm going to provide a Deluxe option for this team as well for those wanting to play the team with a more Chaotic alignment.



Also since the last update we unlocked Bertha Giantfist as an add-on for only $8. She is 61mm to the eye. A definite standout on the pitch.

The Ogre team from their previous kickstarter is on offering for $45,000 and a Minotaur and Piling-on-Ogre for $44,000.

Ended at $46,000 exactly to hit the last stretch on the nose, I don't think I've ever seen that happen!

Creator Impact! Miniatures about 5 hours ago

Okay not as bad as I've had with some of my KickStarters. Had 12 rejected credit card payments out of the 277 for a total of $2,126. This will not change the stretch goals unlocking ... it is a part of the "fun" of running a KickStarter. I will do everything I can over the next week to work with these 12 backers to get the funds and make sure they start part of the KickStarter. I only post this information because I've had some folks that like to see what happens behind the scenes to understand what is involved with running a KickStarter. One of the risks you have to account for is that after the KickStarter ends you'll end up with backers that never fix their cards so you don't actually reach the stretch goal amount you figured out that you needed to offer something. If you are running a KickStarter I recommend doing 2 things in your budget. One: allow 10% for KickStarter/Amazon fees + some dropped backers. Two: allow 10% extra for unforeseen issues (like the 10% of item #1 not covering those costs)




so potential creators plan for a degree of CC bounces, and make sure you get in touch with the backers where it happens so they can fix the problem (expired cards, banks who've blocked payment etc), if nothing works you can always offer them an alternate form of payment like paypal outside the KS process

(some may be deliberately not letting the payment go through but most REALLY want to be part of your KS, so help the out!)

It's a well-known KS backer... tactic? exploit? that if you don't have the money in your account when the KS ends, you'll get a week to fix up the payment via Amazon. I've certainly done it when I've had to - ie it's meant backing or not backing a KS.

Not sure if this should get moved over to the misc miniatures game forum now, but just to let everyone know the pledge manager went live just now. I finalized my order quickly, really small order, just make sure you "lock the order in" and hit submit, or it won't take. I instantly got the confirmation email afterwards. Also they are not gathering shipping info right now, the will email you right before it ships to confirm address. They only have 2 more molds to make, but 25 more to give final approval too so they seem on target with this.

I received my Amazon team today. I haven't given them a proper look yet, but I haven't noticed any bubbles or warping yet.

Also, as a word of advice- don't change your Kickstarter name.

Skykadia won't catch it.

Some of you who frequent KS have probably noticed I mess with the ending of my screen name, well... constantly.

Turns out even though the HT in my name never changes, they couldn't find a match for me in the system, and I've been Chibi- less since returning to the States.

Now that I got it all straightened out, I won't change things until I get my next batch of goodies!

Pledge Manager submissions are going well. We are down to 81 backers needing to lock in their order. Just a reminder that saving your order was not enough, you had to go to your order summary and lock in your order for it to be finalized. I hope to place the order with Troll Forged for the castings we'll need for the KickStarter for the most part next Friday so to the extent the remaining 81 backers can be locked in by then ... greatly appreciated!

Ed informed me that all the molds are the KickStarter are now finished being baked and he is working on cutting them now to finalize them. At this time, we still are on track for the delivery dates we put in the KickStarter.

My order showed yesterday, really excited.

The oni had a broken leg, but I glued him back together no problem. Very clean pours, I didn't like the pour vent placement, but they are the experts and it was easy to clean off, even the one that was on the hair on the oni.

Got my package yesterday !!

Deluxe Orc Team. The quality of the casting is very nice. The sculpts are great and true to the concept art.
