I remembered there was a thread when it was first announced, but had no luck tracking it down in the first three pages. Anyway, who's excited for it? What class are you starting with first? What skill tree looks the coolest? In other words.... *Mr Torgue Voice* "GENERAL FETHING DISCUSSION THREAD! EXPLOSIONS!! GEAR!! I WILL THROW YOU ALL OVER THE MOON!!"

I want to be excited, but I just don't trust Gearbox anymore as a company after they tore my heart out with colonial Marines.
Which sucks, because it has some interesting new ideas.
I just get the feeling this one is trying too hard and it'll end up just being stupid, not funny

I think it's going to be great, honestly. It feels like they really want to tell the whole story, and it's hard to show this guy as a TOTAL douche after he starts as the hero. I mean, you have to "hate" Jack. But would you hate him so much if he fell from being a hero? I think we're going to get a very Darth Vader-type villain: make him the big baddy, then show how he started. But if they get Hayden Christianson to voice pre-bad Jack, I'm gonna murder a thousand Gungans.

Y'know, I loved Borderlands 1 and 2, but i can't make myself care about this.
I really don't fething care how Handsome Jack became such an donkey-cave. I'd really rather like some new ideas about the hundreds of other vaults you see on other planets at the end of BL2.

My concerns are more about managing your oxygen supply, which sounds like no fun at all. In fact it seems like a right pain in the arse. My second concern is about the inevitable torrent of DLC - especially after seeing how much they piecemealed into BL2 - even beyond the Season Pass, which makes me want to wait a year for the GotY equivalent.
I enjoy Borderlands, but I'm not excited about the way Gearbox handles it.

I buy so few video games these days, I don't mind shelling out $90 for the game with the first batch of DLC and smaller chunks later. Honestly, in the next 8 months I have three games on the "buy list"-Borderlands, Diablo RoS, and Mortal Kombat X. RoS is only after it goes down in price though-not paying $40 for an update to an old game, which forces you to actually buy the old game again-it's far more of a blatant money grab than BL DLC.

I'm looking forward to this. I played BL2 when it first came out, and lost interest half way through the game, until I started back up again with a friend and completed two run throughs and the DLCs.
The new characters look fun to play, and I'm personally going to run as Wilhelm on my first run through, with probably Athena for my second. I rocked Mordecai in 1, and Axton in 2, so I figure I'll enjoy the deployable pet aspect again.

After playing 1 and 2 to death, Destiny is kind of scratching my itch for this type of game at the moment.
Honestly, the story progression was one of my favorite parts of the game, along with the humor. Without that, I'm finding it hard to get excited.
Also, after playing Mordecai and then Zero, is there a clear sniper class?

Post by: ORicK
I am VERY excited!
For me Borderlands is in the top of my favourite games ever anyway (beside games like Mass Effect, Bioshock and HALO up to Reach)
Destiny proves (at least now and for me) not that i expected, so i am glad i finaly get a new game i like.
So i am glad that Borderlands can, again, fill a hole that i now fill with World-of-Tanks, but i want to have more fun.
I love Borderlands since the first one, both were superb, great story, great shooters, great look and above all great fun.
I expect no less with the Prequel and, indeed, i can finally play as Claptrap!
And why would you need a sniper class? In Borderlands everyone can be a sniper if you want to! Automatically Appended Next Post: Or to put it otherwise:
Do you hear voices when you read this?
I'm run run running, running over here, run run run run run.
EXPLOSIONS!
Stairs? NOOOOOOooooooo
That's why i love Borderlands! :-)

ORicK wrote:

Because specific classes usually get benefits to specific weapons?
I.E. Mordecai ignoring shields, Zero's class mods granting bonuses to Sniper rifle reload/damage.

Nisha is a gunslinger. In these types of games, I've always preferred pistols. I use infinity pistols on Axton, got infinity pistols for my friend (he gunzerks with them), love the Maggie, and I loved pistols/revolvers on Mordecai in the first one. Nisha is the character built for me. Took three games, but the class I wanted most is now available. Get ready, Hyperion. I'm gonna blow your ass off the moon.

Post by: ORicK
It's true, you get specific sniper advantages.
But i never focused on specific weapons in any Borderlands with any character, and i played them all at least one playthrough, mostly more often.
Sniper rifles are available for every character and the good ones (i like the fast multiple shot ones) i used with all characters, i even found that the sniper specialists had advantages, but the sniper often added more to a non-sniper.
Sniper at range and when they get close, berserk!
And yes, i played both Morecai and Zero with a sniper rifle, but not much more as the others and above all loved Zero up close in close combat, not at range with sniper rifle.
But i do love the sniper rifles in Borderlands. I used them so much, that after Borderlands (1) i could jump and snipe in other shooters (like CoD and HALO).
I look forward to Borderlands The Pre-Sequel SOOooo much...

Is anyone else excited for the jetpacks? I recall asking on the official forums and finding a very meh response, but come on jetpacks are cool. I think the jet packs are the most worthwhile addition because they fundamentally change the way you move. They make you faster and more agile, they open up new pathways new forms of traversal. They are also very old school and I think BL needs more old school gameplay tropes.

I thought it was the same dude? Cursory research it was a Dameon Clarke who did Handsome Jack in both games. The difference in the voice is probably in part from the hearing not through an Echo device, and he's younger and not as evil in the pre-sequel.
Either way, the more voices are welcome.
And the lasers are all fething awesome. I've been a huge fan of Dahl weapony, and Dahl lasers are excellent. Then again so are Maliwan's and Tediore's.
Seriously, the scaling is soooooo much better. Way happier with that change alone. Things feel useful for longer than a level or two. Loot generally feels improved too.

I'm kind of on the fence about this one. I liked BL2 a lot but I also sort of feel like I milked the franchise for whatever enjoyment it's possible to get out of it. I watch the trailer gameplay videos and I think... eh, this seems like sort of a long DLC or an expansion, I might as well just play more BL2.
I dunno.

You're right, Blacksails. Once his voice came on the echo device, it was clear it's the same guy. My roommates and I were discussing reasons for a potential different VA-his injuries leading to a voice change, money, guy not wanting to reprise his role, etc. Glad to see he's back though.

Wilhelm is getting a little ridiculous now at lvl 20. With Laser Target or whatever its called, I add 5 secs to Wolf's duration for every kill, which also triggers my kill skill which grants Wolf and I increased fire rate. Now you add on maxed out Rolling Thunder which adds a stack every 5 secs, with each stack increasing Wolf's damage by 10% each, and before you know, Wolf is one-shotting badasses.
I'm in heaven.
At lvl 50, I'll have a maxed Wolf doing stupid damage, and a maxed out Saint instantly charging my shields and handing out other crazy buffs. I <3 Wilhelm.
His dialogue is also pretty ace.
"I kind of feel bad for killing that AI. Or maybe I'm just jealous she got a cool robot chassis. I dunno, whatever."
I want to be a cyborg now.
I'm close to finishing the game now, I can feel it. Already started up a second game with a friend as Athena, which is fun.

The verticality is a nice touch. I don't use it so much personally, but it adds a new dimension. A lot of the Oz kits (jet packs, replace relics) create an incentive for you to jump and be airborne as much as possible, with bonus damage, accuracy, grenade boosts and so on. Others are fairly basic, but still nice to have.
They're not a game changer by any stretch, but its fun enough.

Oh man.
OH man.
Playing co-op with a buddy who's running Clappy. Originally specced into 'I LOVE YOU GUYS' tree for some nice buffs. Stumbled across a purple class mod that boosted a few skills in the boom trap tree. Re-specced into that, and sweet mother of explosions is it ridiculous. He pretty much walks into a room and drops the bas -- explosions everywhere. Torgue fiesta coupled with a constant explosive nova and other explosion buffs turns him into Torgue's personal AMBASSADOR OF EXPLOSIONS.
Then, for good measure, I'm running Athena and just re-specced into Ceraunic Storm. What a ridiculous combination. I just chain lightning and fire everything while my buddy explodes them all. Comically amazing.
If you're playing Athena, I urge you to run a Ceraunic Storm build. Phalanx is boring, Xiphos can be good, but the storm tree just gets ridiculous with Maliwan SMGs and Lasers. I'm pretty much already playing Bunkers and Badasses with all the 'LIGHTNING BOLTS!' I'm casting. Stacks for dayzzzz.

Is the grinder worth using, you ask. That's funny!
You are joking right?
Right?
The grinder makes me uncontrollably happy. I loot so much more stuff in the right combinations just so I have a shot to turn some low whites and greens into beautiful blues and purples! Its makes your backpack upgrades worthwhile to haul all that grinder feed. The excitement after you hit grind and wait that two seconds for the weapon to spit out, constantly wondering if you'll get a higher level or not.
More addictive than the slots.
Yeah, and ceraunic storm Athena is a blast. Once I'm done with that three, I'll buff it up by running down Phalanx for some more tankiness. If I happen to get a super duper melee shield, I'd consider Xiphos, but I don't think its worth it until you have a legendary melee shield.

Grinding 3 purple weapons of the same type should give you an orange weapon of that type...
In this game I'm finding that I'm swaping weapons much less often, I find a weapon I like and I stick with it for much longer then any of the other borderlands. I'm not sure I'll ever get rid of my ice cream truck gun.

Actually i was NOT joking... :-)
I played until i unlocked the Grinder and used it twice with blue weapons and i got 2 purple ones.
But after that i had ran out of weapons.
But, more importantly, because of my work (i live in hotels a few days each week), i also ran out of time so i can play again tomorrow.
And i will!
And now i know that i will change my Athena to another build and, more importantly, will use the grinder a lot and i assume it combines perfectly with the slot machines at Moxxi.
In the first Borderlands i often had (blue or orange) weapons that i used for many levels. A few i used with every character and there were many weapons i just loved and, even after i did not use them anymore, had weirdly become attached to (and i remember them to this day) and kept in my vault.
In the second Borderlans there were fewer weapons that were good for a long time, usually they were useless after 3-5 levels.
So i like the statement that it might be worth it again to stick to weapons. I look forward to weapons i get attached to...

Yeah, I started running a Phalanx Athena build, which while decent, was fairly boring. There wasn't a whole lot of incentive for me at the time to use any particular weapon type, especially because good class mods are a bit of a rarity early on. Ceraunic storm can be really, really strong against both mobs and big baddies due to how the bonuses stack up.
You have a few good skills that help manage trash mobs through AOE, chaining, and slamming bonuses, and applying DoT to big baddies generates stacks of Maelstorm which in turn helps tear down the bigguns quicker with crazy elemental DoT.
That and the class mods that affect that tree also provide SMG Damage and Magazine size bonuses, which happens to be a fairly versatile and common weapon type. Even better, is that Maliwan makes SMGs, which have good all around stats on average, and excellent elemental damage, which is the only kind of weapon you should ever use with that type of build anyways.
Point is, the whole character becomes very synergistic even half-way down the tree. Throw in a nova or spike shield with a tesla/singularity grenade mod and you can farm stacks and baddies easy peasy. For your second tree when you're Lvl 25+, Phalanx becomes even better. Bonuses to the Aspis work really well with things like Zeus Rage and storing Elemental damage/increasing Aspis damage. When you combine the skill in Ceraunic Storm that regenerates Shields for every Electrocute status active with the one in the Phalanx tree that increases shield capacity and absorbs damage into shields will turn you practically invincible.
While Wilhelm was my first love and a total monster with Wolf pimped out, Athena is rapidly growing to be my favourite for her hectic close in playstyle.
The grinder is great because you can use to turn other weapons into SMGs and other fun stuff so you can only Purples. Life is good in the Pre-sequel.

Unless for whatever reason your really short on cash you should be grinding your weapons and mods instead of selling them.
I'm really suprised by the amount of content in this game.

Does anyone have a good guide to grinding?
It seems that once you get into blue and purple weapon grinding just throwing in three of the same type of weapon doesn't work.

Everything we know of about the Grinder.
Long story short, you can't grind purples together. Purples are only used to create a Legendary, which requires 2 Legendaries and a Purples to create 1 Legendary of the same type as the Purple you put in.

I had found a similar article earlier but the one you posted is better laid out.
I guess overall the grinder isn't going to be that useful on your first play through. I'm at the point now where I'm ready to travel back up to the space station and I haven't seen a legendary drop yet. It also looks like moonstones are really important for the grinder but I'm still using them to upgrade my backpack.

On a more serious note, the bugs/glitches in the game are grating on me a little. Small things like some trash mob falling through the floor so we can't kill them, or trying to scroll through the inventory and it won't work.
There are other slightly bigger issues that can affect completing missions. One of them had an AI pathing issue where the character in question wouldn't make the first turn in a hallway, and then randomly wander about, making it impossible to complete the mission. I've had bosses disappear for a minute or two, only to reappear and do nothing, which kind of defeats the purpose.
Its a litte disappointing, as I really like all new features and story-telling. The scaling is soooo much better than BL2, and low grav and laser weapons are great additions. But sometimes it feels like I'm playing a late beta release.
Ah well, here's to hoping for some good patches and solid expansions later.
The preview for the new character, the Baroness (Hammerlock's sister), was up somewhere. The short of it is that she has a tree dedicated to sniping (on par with Zer0), a tree dedicated to freezing everything, and another where you can nominate a player in your group to be your 'servant' where you both get various buffs and abilities/stacks.
Looks fun anyways.

Well done.
Yes, the two characters we know of so far are Jack's Body Double (might be named 'Timothy'), and Aurelia, the Baroness. Aurelia is Hammerlock's sister, and they, well, don't get along, to put it lightly.
Her action skill is releasing an ice shard that goes around and deals cryo damage. She's a hunter, and a cold-hearted bitch, and her trees reflect that. Lots of stacks in all the trees to have fun with, and if you enjoyed Zero, you'll likely enjoy Aurelia.
Nothing so far is known about 'Timothy' and his skills.
I eagerly await more information.
I'm not sure if I'll play Aurelia, as snipers don't interest me, and while cryo damage is strong, her final tree about servants also doesn't appeal to me.
I'm quite happy with Wilhelm and Athena, and I'm slowly working away at Nisha, who I figure I'll like a lot more when I get dual pistols.

PC as well.
Its only occasional, and I've read similar accounts from others online.
On my second playthrough with my friend I encountered entirely different bugs than my first run through, so it could be luck of the draw.
None of it was too game breaking, but occasionally annoying.

Fan the hammer is probably th best tree I've seen in a BL game, though I've only played Nisha atm, once you get dual pistols, it gets amazing, although make sure you use Hyperion pistols, I've got an action leverage and lets just say I consistently outrange sniper rifles the axcuaecy is that good.

Post by: Blacksails
I find Fan the Hammer has the best capstone, but the rest of it isn't anything to write home about. Conversely, Riflewoman has more buffs that are beneficial to a dual wielding pistol maniac, but the capstone isn't as strong as Fan the Hammers.
For what its worth, while Hyperion pistols are good, all the footage I've seen and playing through so far, I've found Vladof are the best. I'd probably keep a Hyperion for FFYL for the accuracy, but I'd probably run Vladof pistols for psychotic RoF and generally obscene damage.
Unrelated, but as strong as Wilhelm is, I'm finding him not as exciting to play as, compared to Athena with Ceraunic Storm or Nisha because showdown is so much fun. Wolf and Saint are crazy strong with the Hunter Killer and Dreadnought trees, but its just not as engaging. Hitting 'F' to paint targets is about as exciting as it gets when you use Wolf and Saint to their fullest.
Ah well, SMG/Storm Athena is a blast. Looking forward to dual Vladof Nisha.

Fan the Hammer is a very focused tree, you are basically putting all your eggs in one basket, one glorious wild west bucket, I agree the individual buffs are insignificant but together they are greater than the sum of their parts.
I think that Vladof pistols have little synergy with showdown since you get way more value from the attack speed and reload speed then its accuracy increase so you may as well pick a pistol that will get the most efficient use out of showdown.
I'd value Hyperion pistols get the most out of it, then Jakobs.

Torgue free post here. I was looking online, did they really adjust the loot pool? I liked how 2 did it, you could farm for items-this feels like it'll be really random and only a handful of guns can be farmed-anything else is pure luck.

Don't get me wrong, its not a bad tree, it just lacks something, something I can't put my finger on, a certain 'je ne sais quoi'. Eh, there's like three solid kill skills in it, which pairs nicely with showdown.
I think we'll have to agree to disagree on Vladof pistols. Because they already have such a high fire rate and mediocre accuracy, showdown grants them significant buffs. You're putting more lead down range with Vladof, which means baddies dying faster, and coupled with Ruthless (each baddie killed adds 0.5s to showdown), you can stay in showdown longer. Donwside is ammo consumption, especially with the two bullet ones.
Hyperion is good too, I just prefer Vladof. Add in the bonuses from the Riflewoman tree for better accuracy and you're cooking. If anything, Jakobs gets the worst deal from showdown, as its rate of fire is capped at how fast you can click. Not to mention the small magazine sizes means you're spending more time reloading than shooting.
Really, I plan on keeping a Vladof, Hyperion, and Maliwan at all times.

Different bosses have a higher chance of dropping certain oranges. Its not quite definitive yet, but the pools are being determined by the players as we speak. Though you have an equal, if not higher chance of getting your desired legendary from either vending machines, or grinding two legendaries you don't want into something you do want.

Beat the story last night with Athena, friend on Claptrap. Game was definitely a lot shorter, and the writing wasn't nearly as tight as the other games, especially Borderlands 2. Overall I'd but this game at the bottom of the pile of Borderlands titles.

Except two. The race and the "bring 50 guns to us". Probably go back and do the second one, but I hate race missions.
I don't know the overal main story seemed much shorter to me than Borderlands 2, where you had the various subsections of the game. (Get the power module from Willhelm, Find Sanctuary after it teleports, Find Angel, Free Lilth, Kill the Warrior). Borderlands 2 just seemed to take so much longer to finish, as evinced by the fact I was WAAAY higher level when I did.
Could just be misremembering.

My wife played it longer than I did, but we felt the same - it just feels like an expansion for Borderlands 2. It's more of the same with little changes. A lot of them are good, like The Grinder, but overall, they feel...lacking. The game was "okay", but I don't feel compelled to go for New Game+ right now, even if we had the time.

Firstly, MPD is no longer called MPD as the name is highly inaccurate to the actual presentation and led to a belief that it's something it's not. It's now DID, Dissociative Identity Disorder. That addressed, no, you can't give yourself a dissociative identity. They're most often co-morbid, meaning that you have one or more other disorders than may or may not be associated with it and there's no clear cause for developing DID. In fact, the theories surrounding development of DID within a person, ranging from traumatic development to being induced by "memory recovery" therapy, are highly controversial in the mental health community. Scientifically, evidence points to DID being an epiphenomenon of Borderline Personality Disorder and the rarity of there being diagnoses in children of DID puts the validity of it as a separate disorder in doubt. You also can't have a back and forth between alters as the disorder causes Dissociative Amnesia, Dissociative Fugue, and Depersonalization Disorder. For most people, the alters are aware of the existence of the others, but you don't remember details of each other(knowledge and memories are compartmentalized) and don't know what each alter is really doing while dissociated. So your back and forth with Torgue may be unhealthy, but for entirely different reasons.

I'm similar, but I'd rate Athena higher than Wilhelm in terms of fun/enjoyment, but Wilhelm higher in power level. Hunter-Killer + Dreadnought is insane. You don't even need a gun at that point.
I have my dual wielding Nisha now, which was actually a tad disappointing. I thought both would fire at the same time, but they just alternate, so really, you're just getting super big mags. Might swap over to Riflewoman, because all the skills in that tree are better than FtH's skills.
Maliwan Storm Athena is my favourite.
Gonna give Jack a shot when he comes out. Badass Digi-Jacks and bonuses for Hyperion gear sounds like a fun and fluffy character.

I started playing Claptrap: funny, but unpredictable.
Then i tried Athena and Nisha, i like the way Athena playes, Nisha is a bit one-sided gameplay for me.
And after getting to know how Athena and Nisha play, i got back to Claptrap and i will stick to him at least in this 1st playthough. His skills are unpredictable, but can easily match the impact of the skills of Athena and Nisha.
And it's claptrap, so i am happy.
I will also try willhelm later.
In relation to Borderland 1 and 2 up to now i can say that i like this one too. 1 was quite a short playthough, could be done in 3 to 4 hours, that was impossible to do in part 2.
I don't know how long this Borderlands will be yet, but i like the way it is the same, but different. I don't expect a Borderlands 2, but expect to be entertained and i am entertained.

Post by: timetowaste85
First off, how could you complete Borderlands in 3-4 hours? Thats...not even possible. You can't kill level 15 guys if you're still level 4. The game makes it impossible. It's like a 25 hour game, and that's even blowing off the low XP side missions.
Anyway, Handsome Jack's body double is insane. Very powerful passive, and his middle skill tree is great. Just don't expect to be friends with the people you're playing with, as you'll appreciate them being in FFYL, and you'll wanna keep them there.
34243
Post by: Blacksails
Yeah, three to four hours doesn't sound right at all.
In a similar vein, I'm over 150hrs on TPS. I have a 50 Athena, 44 Wilhelm, 39 Jack, and 39 Nisha.
Jack is rapidly becoming my favourite character. Running a Hyperion allegiance build using the middle and right hand tree. Eventually going to put 5/5 in Absolute Advantage (40% chance to not consume ammo after a kill) with a +6 class mod for an 88% chance to not consume ammo after a kill.
Couple that with Leadership (the capstone from the middle tree) which means my Digi-jack's deaths count as kills, and I can shoot everything forever! Use 7 Hyperion items for a constant boost to accuracy and critical damage plus a Jakobs Quad shotgun, and shoot forever doing stupid damage.
Oh, and Money is Power is amazing. Really, Jack is amazing.
Then again I haven't been afraid to use the glitch where you can get the loyalty reward guns at whatever level you're currently at. Bullpup is love.

34243
Post by: Blacksails
For anyone else interested, this only works if you have a save file from the previous games. You would have also gotten the reward at the start of the game.
To get the two guns (+30 moonstone) at your current level, first start by selecting a new game. Watch the intro movie until you can skip. You'll then be brought to the character creation screen; just hit escape and go back to the main menu. From there, select the character you want and select continue.
You'll load into the last spot you quit at, and two reward messages should pop up. If you did it right you should have a Bullpup and Smasher in your inventory. These weapons can't be used in the grinder. Note they also come with a variety of prefixes that change the gun, so doing this a few times might result in the best gun for your build. For me, a Decisive Bullpup is the best, as it grants +50% crit damage. It can spawn in any element too, or with a melee attachment.

He recently got nerfed.
Someone described the change in rate from being approx/roughly 1 in 50, to now being 1 in 500.
On the plus side, the expansion coming on 16th is giving us UVHM, the Holodome (presumably where we fight bosses and such in quick succession) and normal farmable bosses. Oh, and level cap to 60 too.
And only now did I finally get that Doc's Coach Gun my Jack so desperately needed.

You couldn't pay me to use anything Scav.
Vending farming is where I've got roughly 80% of my oranges. The other 19% from grinding. I think I've had one orange drop from a boss.
I like most purples better anyways. Like the Legendary Jakobs shottie, the Striker, isn't really any better than a purple Jakobs Coach Gun, especially when you get the Doc prefix.

As an add-on, any interest in doing an online meetup to farm raid bosses once I actually hit 50? If you have it on 360, that is. I'm currently at 32 with the Doppleganger. Pulled a Celestial Class Mod out of a vending machine for him, so he's a happy boy currently. Automatically Appended Next Post: Oh, I don't want the Thingy for usage: I wanted it to grind good gear. Post by: Blacksails
While I have 4/5 characters at 50 myself (don't play Clappy myself), I'm on the PC, so we unfortunately can't hook up.
The drop rates for the Thingy on Iwa are pretty bad. You're better off farming the Invincible Sentinel and other bosses (Felicity mainly) if you're looking for oranges. Then again, you might as well just collect purples to grind in the hopes of getting an orange.
29784
Post by: timetowaste85
You can triple grind purples for orange? Sweet I have 500 moonstones thanks to Iwa and your heads up over the loyalty reward, so I can farm and dupe to get some. But you should get a 360 and do all that work again. Haha. I won't use Clappy either, at least until all others are maxed. His explosions sound fun, but he's too much of a pain to potential allies. And random. Too fething random.
34243
Post by: Blacksails
Three purple weapons equals a chance at an orange. Same for shields, grenades, and Oz kits, but not class mods. You can't use moonstone on those grinds, its just a random chance.
While I do have a 360, I don't know if I can go back to playing with a controller.
And grinding 4 characters was bad enough. I ended up enjoying the last two characters I grinded anyways, being Jack and Nisha. They're both loyalty builds, which is fun for me.

Post by: ORicK
I have got a few legendaries from grinding purples now.
But this time i have less reason to collect them, because i don't really feel the need to play the game with the other characters this time.
There is less story (Jack changes a bit, but no not that much and too fast).
And allthough there is humour, Borderlands 2 was funnier, especially with the add-ons.
I love the game playing claptrap, but the other character types are not different enough to interest me.
In 1 and 2 i played everything and above all always played both a shooty and a close combat character to the highest level.
And allthough Athena is nice, but she is no Brick or Zero, does not give me the real up-close-and-personal feel.
And when you play Claptrap, Nisha, Wilhelm or Jack's Double are, for me, just less fun ways to shoot yourself through the game.
The Pre-Quel is fun and it works, but i hope for good add-ons in the near future.
