Things are kicking off early this year so I'm starting the annual Black Friday/Christmas/Thanksgiving/Kwanzaa/New Years/Heisei Emperor's Brithday sale thread.
Amazon doesn't have miniatures, but they've started. Toys and Games has mostly toys, but I spotted Marvel Legendaries Fantastic Four and Deadpool for $15, same price as Miniature Market, but with a lower shipping threshold. Also saw Saboteur Duels.
MM meanwhile has lowered its free shipping threshold to $50, useful for those using their free customer holds. I'm only seeing this on their newsletter, but doesn't hurt to try. MM also should have a BF sale. Check on the BGG Hot Deals forum.
Reaper should have a BF special. Usually, it's a bust or expensive item, but last year they were clearing their stock of HD paints. Save your November purchase until then. $40 for a free Black Bones armored skeleton ogre miniature.
Not BF, but for the holidays, Galladoria Games has its Christmas tree mimic. Keep the back facing to the players until the last moment. Tiny Furniture has its Snowman, available painted as well as unpainted.
I'm watching out for Titan Forge (60% off last year?!) and Puppets War (25% off last year), maybe Raging Heroes too (50% off last year). Will report back about Euro resin sales when I know more
Seeing the deals at goblin gaming and seeing that they don't ship to the US is depressing. Are there any UK base stores that ship to the US? It looks like they have generally cheaper stuff even with the conversion rate.

I'm pretty sure no UK store would risk shipping product to the US, as I believe it is against their sales agreements with GW.
You could always try to find a contact in the UK who would take delivery of an order and ship it on for you, though.
OK! Ya I almost asked if GW just has special pricing in the UK. Based off the prices I was seeing I was like, they must have some kind of deal. Good to know!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure there is some sort of clause in the agreement that prevents international sales by stores. You can find a lot of online sellers on Ebay who will sell to the US at UK prices though, but I'm pretty sure this is because it's not generally a store and as such they are under a lot less scrutiny.

You could try a UK mail forwarding company such as forward2me.com. They provide a UK delivery address where you send your orders. They'll send them to you via one of several courier companies. For a fee, they'll also combine multiple orders into one shipment. I haven't used this particular company and, by the way, I have no affiliation with them. You might even be able to reclaim VAT. I use a similar service to send orders to Ireland from the UK to avoid high cost delivery charges.

They don't have special prices, they just have the prices. The rest of the world get screwed over because of reasons that are pretty much only known to GW.

Well it seems like those prices should be the same for US, seeing as I believe there is a GW Distribution center in my state. I could be there in three hours.

Not got full details yet, but Steamforged are opening up the Guild Ball "Locker Room" for Black Friday, which means access to alternate sculpts and limited editions that aren't typically available at retail, or are now OOP and they do a small run for the event.
Either way, SFG Black Friday sales are normally something worth looking out for if you've an interest in their games.

If you backed Darksouls KS they just sent out 20 quid vouchers that are usable during blackfriday due to the delay of the last wave.

I didn't back, Guild Ball is as far as I and SFG go (albeit it's one of my favourites.) Will undoubtedly have a close look at God Tear when it hits retail, the faction boxes look like good value, and SFG have a good track record of providing everything needed in their plastic boxes.
My understanding is that the DS delays have been pretty spectacular, but at least owning it and trying to make a gesture like that is something. Given some of the venom I've seen on social media though, I doubt it'll placate some.
What a truly horrible website, the models look incredible but the online store (not the blog) seems stuck in 2001, no way I'm squinting my way through that!

What's so bad about it? Just zoom in a bit and it rightens itself up.

The internet is so beyond placation I just don't care anymore. I just want one thing I'm excited about to not turn into social media venom. Honestly, half the reason I'm excited about Crisis Protocol is just that there's been so little angst surrounding it.
On the negative front, that miner really carries the trend of static GB models. I so miss the dynamic stuff. The game seems to finally be getting releases again though, so I'm hopeful I'll get to play again sometime.
God Tear really didn't interest me, and I still don't LOVE the models, but the extended range has more styles to my liking and the buy in looks pretty reasonable. I might have to give it a try.
Gitkikka wrote: Miniature Market has started their BF sale, but it's all pretty underwhelming for me. Pretty much nothing that I personally want is actually on sale.
They will either ramp it up closer to Thanksgiving, or punish their customers by having a far better sale just after Christmas.
No discounts. Their prices stay the same year-round.
But, the seasonal battleforce boxes are bundles which you end up getting a kit or two free.
They are big versions of the Getting Started sets, which are a good deal compared to the individual kits.

I expected MM would just do specific line / publisher discounts to clear out their warehouse - and yep, the bottom is crashing out of the PP stuff Deciding how dumb to be
EDIT: Some of it anyway. Bummer, most of the new good stuff is still whatever discount MM gives normally
EDIT2: Yea, I'm good, I already bought the on sale stuff I want back during that summer sale, for about 5% more than this. Ah well.

I've not long finished building and painting The Union, which means I've recently had to assemble Snakeskin. I'm suddenly much less nostalgic for dynamic sculpts! They're definitely still a thing though, now it looks like they've gone 100% resin and dropped PVC we're getting sculpts like Layne who is every bit as dynamic as some of the S1 sculpts. (Although he is guilty of the biggest crime a GB model can commit in my eyes, ball is sculpted on the model.)
I'm still a little reticent about Crisis Protocol, largely because I've not been excited by the rules, but a local gamer buddy has jumped in on the starter, so I'm going to absolutely give it a fair shot. I do so hope it's fun, because I do so want an excuse to paint some super heroes, and they're oh so too expensive to buy just for painting.
Welcome to Otherworld Miniatures, producers of 28mm fantasy gaming figures inspired by the iconic imagery of the early role-playing games. Our miniatures are expertly hand-sculpted and cast in high-quality pewter or resin.
So far, our ranges include Dungeon Monsters, Humanoid Tribes, Undead, Wilderness Encounters, Demons & Devils and more. New releases are regularly added to our catalogue.
All models are supplied unpainted. They are not toys, and some contain small parts, so they are not recommended for young children. Most of our miniatures require assembly, and some have several parts. They are designed for patient and experienced modellers and painters.
Reaper announced their BF "Celebration" (and they're not calling it a sale). Remember your free Bones Black ogre armored skeleton juggernaut thing if you buy $40 of stuff!

Your 30% off UK RRP discount voucher ends on Friday the 22nd of November 2019 at midnight (GMT), and you really do have some superb miniatures to spend your hard-earned cash on!

•not on any hosts, as they have their own huge discounts
•not on the Darklands: First Edition Rule Book
•not on any limited edition miniatures or books
•not on any Components, Miscast Packs, Grab Bags or other offers
•not on any Kickstarter items
The voucher will work on pre-orders and, crucially, you'll still earn Moneyback - although tiered discounts are disabled when using a voucher.

Just a heads up on Otherworld, they make excellent miniatures but they are pretty sketchy. I have order from them four times, and the first two times I had no issues at all (other than taking a month to get my items, but since it was shipping from the UK to the US and a small business I forgave them).
The next time I ordered I waited a month and nothing showed up so I tried to contact the owner and didn't get a response, after trying several more times I got a response two weeks after my first one. Long story short I kept following up about every month and the owner would make an excuse and what not and I eventually got my items about 6 months later (this was about five years ago). Last year I tried to place an order with them as well, and I tried to contact the owner about two weeks after I placed the order to follow up and I got no response. I tired several more times by Facebook, Email, and the Contact us form on the Website and eventually got a response about two weeks later saying the owner was on vacation and couldn't respond (of course there was no notification on the webstore or Facebook page about this). After this going on for nearly two months I told him I wanted a refund. At this he responded in a few days and said the package was shipped and should be there any day. I gave it another week and still nothing. I asked for the refund and he said the package was sent. I asked for the tracking information or a scan of his receipt showing he sent it in the post and he refused. At this point I took all our correspondence to Paypal and let them know what was going on. They ruled in my favor the same day and refunded my money. I will definitely never attempt to purchase from Otherworld again.
Just a word of caution for those interested in ordering from Otherworld.
Wayland is better than last year where it felt they were just clearing out gakky stock (looks like Firestorm is doing that this year). -45% on Malifaux 2nd is also nice. Also -60% on Runewars but barely anything left.

They used to, on BGG, and BGG'ers complained when the servers were overloaded, and customers were taking games out of each other's carts before the next screen showed up. MM no longer announces when the sales start, either, to avoid server overload.

It would be nice if all this stuff would be laid out in advance so people can plan orders accordingly...
Ya. It's annoying but not surprising considering the first two waves have been nothing but repeats from sales earlier on.
Anyone know if any place online is doing Perry Miniatures as a sale during Black Friday? I was hoping Warlord games might, but they might be in an arrangement to not discount any of Perry's stuff, considering they'd be a major competitor with Perry themselves.
What are you looking for from Perry? My local FLGS has a selection of their stuff at 25 to 30% off on clearance. Might go higher next week if it’s still there.
2 x Mahdist Ansar (1884)
1 x Mounted Agincourt Knights 1415-29
2 x Agincourt French Infantry

All of the Pike & Shotte cavalry boxes are 25% off at Warlord as part of their BF sale.
I'll take a look next time I go in to the FLGS. However, I think most of the discounted minis were Napoleonic or ACW, so I don't want to get your hopes too high. They might also have had some terrain on discount, like huts or those desert houses.
Edit: I was planning to go either on Wed or Fri. Is that too late?
I don't know when the Warlord sale is going to end. If it is mostly Napoleonic or ACW, don't worry about it. The cost to ship a box or two would pretty much cancel out any savings to be had. Thanks for taking a look for me though

Maybe it’s because I’m rewatching Fringe, but that Halfling reminds me a lot of Walter . If I got one I’d have to give him a sack of red vines and a cow named Gene.

They also are doing more loot boxes. $60 gets you $300 worth of stuff but unlike the last few times this is 100% random and isn't set to one faction per box so you'll get whatever gets thrown into it (warmahords stuff only). The above discounts do apply to these.
Thanks. Has anyone gotten a Mix-tery box before? About how many models do you get, and what was the quality? I don't have an PP models, so I guess I'm just looking for some good models to paint.
That's kinda tempting, especially with free shipping.
I won't deny I still like a lot of privateer models. If I don't end up with duplicates of the same exact thing over and over, I may just give it a shot...
I've gotten several. It's hard to say what the total number is as it really varies.
Some will have a colossal figure and two boxes of units (maybe 8 figures each box), some will have 5-6 boxes of units.
Do note that they're adding things like pins, patches, and other items to the boxes and say at least $200 will be models. But if they're like past boxes with the same stuff you really wouldn't have much. A book and some tokens or a plush.
Quality wise depends on if you're OK with restic? I don't mind it but you'll get that, HIPS or resin but this could, I guess, have some metal.
Hills Wholesale Gaming has their sale up. Mostly card games, but there is some Heroclix, old MechWarrior Clix and some dice games. Also Haloclix if you are into mods.

They're all good but CB's army packs aren't really traditional packs meaning you can play them but they don't really come with a ready to play army. Price wise though you can find some of those really cheap with other online discounters so check around unless you really want Joan 2.0.
Also shipping from Spain can be really expensive as the cost is government regulated so there's no real competition. So unless you spend enough for free shipping that can really remove any savings you'd get.
Kingdom Death backerkit for non-pledgers is open, it seems. Though there has not been any announcement yet and this is just people getting in early. It's just a bunch of expensive all-in bundles for Wave 3 and Wave 4 stuff.

MM MAPP Amnesty Day just started. Not the lowest prices online for the year, though. Some ASOIAF expansions available. PIcked up a 2-player Keyforge starter set for $9 because why not.
Miniature Market’s final Black Friday wave dropped. I’ve only gone through the Asmodee section so far, but the discounts have been pretty underwhelming. Maybe there will be some exciting clearance items in the main listing, but I won’t get my hopes too high.
Guess I might buy some more Crimson Skies plane packs for $1...
Keep in mind they can hold stuff in the warehouse so you can combine orders for free shipping. I suspect they’ll have a post-holiday sale with even deeper discounts.
Most of the Asmodee and CMON stuff was much cheaper during a previous sale.
Kingdom Deaths' Blackfriday started 30 min ago. Took about 5 min for them to sell out of 80% of their stock. As of now you can still get some expansions and older plastic sets on discount but anything released in the past few months or just for Black Friday was gone before you even got to your cart.

Only customers using that password will get $10 per case taken off before your credit card is charged. Discounts will be applied when charges are processed. But hurry, time is limited. This sale is only good through Cyber Monday at Midnight, Pacific Time.
MM did sell it only a month ago for $76 so not quite all time low but a good price.
Steamforged has their sale going.
Lots of old Critical Role minis that I guess cycle out availability as only some are marked as KS exclusive yet they were making a big deal about all these being available.
Also have some Guild ball bundles for the new plastics. $60 for 2 sets (you can't mix and match). So $40 if you happen to have a dark souls voucher. Shipping was very affordable too at $7.
Also are what appear to be left over KSer bundles for Resident Evil.
Mantic’s Black Friday wale looks like a good place to pick up cannons and Zombies. The Star Saga KS box is $40, for anyone who wants a lot of sci fi minis and some terrain.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from all of us at Reaper Miniatures!
So my big purchase was Heroforge, downloaded 15 or so STL files enough to make an Arbites army (yes, besides the Arbites army I already have!) which can really be done in like 6 files, and then some additions like female judges and civilians if I ever want to make a horde of them.
At $4 a pop it's hard to stop, especially since ogres and bikers cost the same as infantry.
It is not perfect for 40k or for army building but I can see how someone can make an instant IG, Necron or other disciplined army where the repeated figures might actually make sense.
Anyway if you're interested the sale runs till Dec 2, tomorrow.
Shapeways dropped their Cyber Monday deal. Runs today and tomorrow. Til some time at night, I think PST.

Thank you!
Our Holiday weekend was the biggest weekend Boardlandia has ever had! Thank you for your support! We nearly exceeded our goal in one hour of the sale.
A few things I wanted to give you updates or insights on:
Boardlandia bucks are coming. They are all manual and you will get an email with the information on them.
Our orders to our distributors were MASSIVE. It takes time for them to get them ready and ship a months worth or more of games in one order. Our current arrivals start today (Wednesday) and continue tomorrow with our largest one arriving Friday. This means orders won't ship out by the end of the week like we had hoped. I promise you we will still work as quickly as we possibly can to get them out the door by Monday.
We aren't Amazon. We receive our shipments and check all of the games for damage at the same time. Then when the orders are packed we pack them with care and protection. This isn't going to be as fast as Amazon but that's because we care about you and your orders. Also they have an army...we are 8 people.
Cyber Monday codes are coming too. Again they are manual.
I apologize for the delay in emails. I was bombarded with them all weekend and struggled to keep up with those and orders. Most of them are caught up at this point, finally.
Please be patient. As stated above it will take time to receive the shipments and turn them back around. Damage will happen and our distributors are human thus there will be mistakes in the order. I will communicate them with you as soon as I can if it's a game you ordered.
