So it seems Miniature Market is going to have a round 3 of sales starting up either on Thanksgiving itself or right after it?

It would be nice if all this stuff would be laid out in advance so people can plan orders accordingly...

They used to, on BGG, and BGG'ers complained when the servers were overloaded, and customers were taking games out of each other's carts before the next screen showed up. MM no longer announces when the sales start, either, to avoid server overload.

Ya. It's annoying but not surprising considering the first two waves have been nothing but repeats from sales earlier on.

Anyone know if any place online is doing Perry Miniatures as a sale during Black Friday? I was hoping Warlord games might, but they might be in an arrangement to not discount any of Perry's stuff, considering they'd be a major competitor with Perry themselves.

I'll take a look next time I go in to the FLGS. However, I think most of the discounted minis were Napoleonic or ACW, so I don't want to get your hopes too high. They might also have had some terrain on discount, like huts or those desert houses.

Edit: I was planning to go either on Wed or Fri. Is that too late?

I don't know when the Warlord sale is going to end. If it is mostly Napoleonic or ACW, don't worry about it. The cost to ship a box or two would pretty much cancel out any savings to be had. Thanks for taking a look for me though

Thanks. Has anyone gotten a Mix-tery box before? About how many models do you get, and what was the quality? I don't have an PP models, so I guess I'm just looking for some good models to paint.

That's kinda tempting, especially with free shipping.
I won't deny I still like a lot of privateer models. If I don't end up with duplicates of the same exact thing over and over, I may just give it a shot...

I've gotten several. It's hard to say what the total number is as it really varies.

Some will have a colossal figure and two boxes of units (maybe 8 figures each box), some will have 5-6 boxes of units.

Do note that they're adding things like pins, patches, and other items to the boxes and say at least $200 will be models. But if they're like past boxes with the same stuff you really wouldn't have much. A book and some tokens or a plush.

Quality wise depends on if you're OK with restic? I don't mind it but you'll get that, HIPS or resin but this could, I guess, have some metal.
