IMHO the current hand/claw comb is much better and the current claws are far superior to thes 'snap, snap' crab claws. Other wise the daemonettes are pretty good.

Old Skool Khorne bloodletter FTW!

Daemonettes are junk. Giant step backwards from the beautiful models that we have now.

The Bloodletter is nice, and certainly fits the Old Skool vibe, but I prefer my big, burly 'Letters with their massive axes.

Love the Jugger. Cannot wait to get one of those.

I really like all of it. Love the new daemonettes, but I have always disliked the new ones. Nice lithe bodies, but the oddly craggy head hair stuff was just odd. Really like all the new stuff here. Made me dig out my old daemonettes and bloodletters.

Apparently I'm not up to date on my news. In what direction is Rackham heading?

Short version: Pre-painted plastic miniatures. The result is that they can not replicate the very fine details of their old metal miniatures.

that juggernaut of khorne is giving me some awesome ideas for my orks and orcs.. now if I can just find a boar head that's big enough to fit on that thing..

Love the juggernaut, it really captures the gothic/sci-fi/daemonic look of chaos better even than the current Obliterators, which have long been favorite models (at least until I tried putting one of those %&#&@*@ together.)

Being plastic, both the letters and the daemonettes are more organic and fluid. I like the detail and the sculpting on the daemonettes, but I'm not sure swapping graceful yet corrupted demons for what look like possessed suicide girls is a really good swap. IMO they're too daemonic, not nearly gracefully feminine enough. that's a matter of taste though, not a knock on the scuplts.

The bloodletter is awesome, totally like what a daemon should be. While I like the burly letters we have now, there's a certain appeal to some tough, iggy pop style brawlers.

Yet on the other hand the Juggernaut is incredible and a great improvement over the football-line pose of the old one. I hope that one stays with us for a while...

Everything but the demonettes look great.

The new Daemonettes are a huge step backwards. It's strange as most of GW's newer plastics have been able to preserve the detail of the metal models. I wonder what the story there is.

I'm actually a fan of the new Daemonettes. The current ones are awesome too, but my limbs do break all the time (damn tiny connection points!) The new ones may be slightly less cool looking, but I'm sure I can pose them more/better, and they just might be cheaper...

I'd have to say I like the deamonettes a lot, the current ones I've always thought were boring, these show some movement like they weren't just trying for the shock value of nudity, but actually trying to produce a worthwhile model. The bloodletters are nice too, I'll probably forever be biased against them for their 3rd edition rules though.... can you say overpowered? (*crowd yells* BLOODTHIRSTERS) I thought you could.

Always disliked the so -called claws on the current metal ones (more like cheetos on the end of their arms). Much prefer the claws on these, and disagree with the sentiment that they are like the old old daemonettes. These claws are much more elegant and stylized.

The poses, hair and boobs of the current metal ones are far superior though.

The new Daemonettes are a mixed bag. I feel like they get things right where the old ones got things wrong, and vice versa. The new heads just don't work for me, but the poses are better, and the bodies in general seem more active. I'm sure if I saw them painted very well, I'd think they were great.

I like the Juggernaut, and I'm a pretty huge fan of that Bloodletter. It's much more alien than the old Bloodletters, much more of a twisted daemon creature, and less of a dude with a chewbacca mask on.

When will GW leak the Daemon rules, you reckon?

GW plastics are getting better and better, im very curious how will they handle plaguebearers and nurglings.

Some interesting ideas on new concepts and some do bring the oldschool looks back into 40k/fantasy.
I confess that I prefer current daemonettes since they are closer to species movie concept, they have something Gigerish that these new plastics lack... overall good stuff.

I really don't like the daemonettes. They look like they're wearing rubber suits in a 1050s B movie.
Not a huge problem, I suppose, since the current models are still available, and still sexy vicious.

Wasn't the rumour that both daemon codexes were out in March after Orks?

It's possible. We might also see a new Daemon unit or two.

We have Bloodletters and Juggernauts for Khorne.

Slaanesh have Daemonettes and most likely mounted Daemonettes.

Tzeentch has Horrors/Flamers and Screechers.

Nurgle has Plaguebearers and Nurglings.

I wouldn't be surprised if Nurgle and possibly Slaanesh got new Daemon types behind what's on the current list.

Basically the Daemon list have heavy infantry (Bloodletters, Plaguebearers), fast infantry (Daemonettes), fast cavalry (mounted Daemonettes), heavy cavalry (Juggernauts), flyers and and swarms. I'm not sure how the Tzeentch daemons will be classified.

That still leaves space open for war machines (beyond the Hellcannon), ranged units (though flamers may fill this role), chariots (a Juggernaut chariot would be pretty cool), and I think that's it.

Not every list contains every type of unit, but it's a reasonable basis for speculation I think.
