Reaper's decided to give us all a Valentine's Day gift - namely, more greens have been posted! And just to get us in trouble with that special lady in your life, there's, well, *ahem* one Werner Klocke model that bears special attention. But make sure that she can't see the screen first!

First off, do you find yourself needing Angels for decorating your Dark (or Blood) Angels terrain? Are you sick of the typical Sandra Garritty angels that Reaper has, and looking for something new from a well-established sculptor? If so, then this Luminous Angel by Bob Ridolfi is perfect for you! Now your Marines can have the holy iconography they so richly deserve!

Do your fairies just not feel right? Need a way to show Slannesh's influence on your little ones? Sick of the converting work for making that corset for the multi-nippled followers of the eldar's bane? Now, with this Bobby Jackson Fairy Warrior, you don't have to do the work yourself! Fairy wings! Goat horns! Hooves! And just enough clothing for you to take liberties with!

Plastic empire swordsmen seem too boring to you? Need a way to make that rapier-wielding model seem completely out-of-place on the battlefield? Or do you just want a female Inigo Montoya? Werner Klocke had YOU in mind when he sculpted Rhainie, Duelist!

Need a... man. I just can't do it. This one's just too... bizarre for me! Gnome druid on a toad? I can write filler for that. Evil little snowmen? No problem! But Kurand the Everliving... (Gnome warlord on Palanquin) is just one that I can't get silly for. I see great use as a night goblin with snotlings carrying him around! But really... it's just a wonderful, creepy model.

And finally... Werner Klocke has an answer to all the Wood Elf players that need to defend their masculinity. I'll just post the pictures, and you get to drool at this Female Dryad. In the meantime, I'm going to go shake up a can of primer...

Those are some luverly sculpts. Very ambitious dryad, looks dead classy too.

Yeah, that dryad will definitely balance out the preponderance of romance-novel-cover-hair dudes in a WE army. Dig the pose, too.

Dryad is AWESOME. And clearly meant for a Warlord Elf army. Want.

The angel is a little silly. I mean, c'mon guys, put a little more clothes on her. And knock off the mid-80s X-Men references.

I LIKE the Gnome on palanquin. I have no idea what I'd use it for, but it's pretty cool.

And the fairy reminds me of the old Kenzer & CO. Fairy Meat game. No princesses, just cannibalistic, vicious little buggers.

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil

Really? Which model? At first I thought he had similarities to Nurbald the sculptor, until I looked harder and realized he's on a palanquin, and it's being carried by little snotling-wannabe dudes.

Though I guess the egg thing really is ripped straight out of Tumahk's hand.

Or do you mean that his little bearers are ripped off of the Mid-Nor canopic dolls? I guess I'm just really confused!

Evil Jawa probably goes with the new Warlord Gnome badguys they're putting out. Pretty, pretty things. I'm sorely tempted by them and the Thugs, but I haven't played Warlord in a dog's age.

Marginalized tree women the world over?

Definitely got a Phoenix! vibe off that first mini, and dig the little dudes carrying the gnome thing around, despite (or because of?) similarities to the little kanopic dolls from Rackham's evil dwarves.

Also, that fairy warrior strikes me as horribly androgynous

All those elements and figures come to mind. It's not just ONE exact model, it's the whole canopic doll/Mid-Nor range. There's too many elements drawn from there that start really standing out.

A good artist copies. A great artist hides his references.

This is my first post. I like the palanquin model and have no problem with the similarity to confrontation. Especially since I own a bunch of mid-nor. I have quit playing with the new ruleset since some of the models didn't have new online cards. The palanquin bearers look like they have lizard heads though like skinks on puppet bodies, but I do not see the stitches. I will look closer at the reaper site...

Will the Dryad come in only one pose?
If so that's annoying as I wanted to replace all my dryads with this piece!
If its only one pose I'll get one as the figurehead of my dryads.

Is it the same size as the GW dryads?

When is it available for purchase?

Reaper models are pewter, and generally not done for squad-based games (such as Warhammer). As a result, you generally just get one sculpt of it.
To give you a sense of scale, the dryad is on a 25mm base, the same size that you would put, say, an orc boy on.
As for when it'll be available, usually a model takes 2-3 months to get from the Greens phase to the shelves. That said, sometimes the models can take as long a six months to produce, or in rare cases, can be available as soon as the green is posted! In short; I don't know when that particular model will be available, unfortunately. I will point out that the Snowman models they posted as Greens on 28 January are now available in their online store. I guess the answer is: keep watching to see!

Actually the Dryad in question is for a squad-based game, called Warlord, which is a fantasy skirmish game similar to Warhammer fantasy.

The models shown on the plastic slot bases are sold primarily for the Warlord game, but due to the high quality sculpts find their way to many a painting competition or RPG table.
