well i think they should, don't get me wrong i love the current model, but how long has it been around? 10+ years? i just think its time for a change

The current model is decent, but a little too static.

My biggest problem is that he is THE warmaster to the chaos forces... yet he is now smaller than all the terminator models out. Based on that alone, he should be redone in scale.

I ended up using a chaos lord box with head, claw and sword to make my own model.

Resculpt Abbadon? Sure...just leave off the dorky topknot this time.

Topknots = super evil chaos. It's one of the givens in the front of the chaos codex. He's like Samson. Lose the hair, he becomes this guy.

Why cause he's a head shorter than the other guys? Cause his topknot is taller than his body? Cause he has popeye arms?

I remember rumors to the effect that a new Abby "bigger than Ghazghskull" was on the horizon, though IMO that's a bit big for even such a bad dude as Abbaaddabbaodoom. Also, I've seen a couple very good conversions of Abby using the current head, claw and sword / gauntlet and the new chaos termi lord kit. Much like Vero said. In fact, I'm so inspired I might head to Warseer to find it ...

If it aint broke don't fix it springs to mind but then the pessimist in me gets brutally mauled down by the Optimisitic side with thoughts of a proper sized Abaddon.

So yeah I think they should redo him,(Particularly if he starts to dwarf a Daemon Prince ) but hopefully it'll be done properly.

Now if Boss_Salvage comes back with good news on those conversions I might have to give that a shot.

I wouldn't supersize him larger than a Termie. IIRC there's no notation that he's superhuge. But yes the current topknot hero just looks like Abaddon, Cheerleader fo Destiny, Queen of the Megadorks (TM).

Klaxon sound as the Dakka service elevator opens and that one chaos dreadnought stomps back in, armored hull steaming from the mandatory decontamination bath. His plasma cannon's coils glow faintly due to low charge, and his armored legs are freshly scratched from the scrabbling of the frothing hordes. As the dread establishes video uplink he gestures for a stiff drink with his chainfist ...

Palatine Katinka




Technically built to be Horus for a special HH event, he nonetheless has sculpted Drac'nyen to swap in for Abby Attak. And with the topknot it's more Abby, less Horus anyway, though the lack of red is telling. This one is all plastic.

I came across at least a few more whilst wading through Warseer, but none as good as these.

Well he supposedly taller then most Space Marines outside of his armor. Inside Terminater armor he must be pretty big.

My thoughts exactly. $20 for complete Abby + $20 for plastic termi lord = $40 for a pretty sweet model that you do all the work for.

Also, I happen to have those 3 bits handy, except the top section of Drach'nyen has gone missing ...

I don't know about that, I mean, One_Second_of_Insanity's Abby uses a converted Talon of Horus, Palatine's uses a different topknot head and Red Terror has a different sword. Convert away!

Edit: Don't get me wrong, as someone who's favorite part of the Warhammer hobby is converting, the death of the Bitz Order definitely cramps a converter's style and I deplore it, but we gotta find solutions where we can.

How about redoing the DE line before Abbadon.

Lol, I have 2 full models and then bought the 3 parts back in Nov, anticipating making the model. I kept mine more to the position the current model has.

A DP sword might work well too, though BIG

skullspliter likes a dread getting info and a drink lol normaly i would say we need a new model but there is so many lines that need updateing
