I've got one player at my shop who is coming in around 40. He's playing IG of course. His list gives up 18 pts just for the command platoon

We're warning our IG players that they might want to bring/borrow another army for this tourney, as it's just not possible to win either of the KP missions. Hell, your opponent can just kill part of your army, and walk off for a beer in the last couple of rounds, as it won't matter what you do to him.

....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.

I read it as
HQ FOC= 3 points
Elite/FA/HS FOC = 2 points
Troop FOC = 1 point

Which makes IG a viable army again
23 Kill Points if my interpretation is correct.

Each of those HB/Mortar squads are only 1 KP, the individual weapons are not individual KP's, and the HSO squad is 2 KP's, not 6. The Commissar is only 3 KP if you buy 3 of them.



That said, the above HQ would clock in at 7 KP's (2 for the cmd squad, 4 for the weapons squads, 1 for the commissar), thats still a lot for 30 T3 5+sv models. IG's problem is that a basic Troops choice is a minimum of 4 KP's and up to 13 KP's in a single Troops slot (5 infantry squads, command squad, and chimera's)

wow i just got off the phone with GW and the guy i spoke with said they had all reached a concensus on the interprtation.. nad my army is in fact 71 KP

he said i need to table my enemies in two of the games.

The 'Ard Boyz tournament is *not* using standard Kill Points. 3 KP per HQ, 2 per Elite/FA/Heavy Support, 1 per Troops "choice", and dedicated transports give 0 KP.

I put a post in the other thread in news and rumors. I have notes from the head of trade sales, and will be typing up clarifications to the scenarios, and posting later tonite.

Basics: Killpoints are for a choice off the FOC. IG infantry platoon = 1 kp, after you kill all parts of the platoon. More examples in the other thread, more info after I get it all typed up.

Ok with my IG...
--Under normal KP rules I have 26.
--Under the original interpretation of the Ardboyz KP rules I had 40 (wasn't going to bring the IG).
--With the clarification (assuming my store abides by it) I have 12 KP's.

Wow, 40 to 12. That's stupid. Why did they bother changing a basic scoring mechanic like this. I see no good reason or rationale. It's really stupid, ill-advised and not thought through.

Imperial Guard went from the undisputed highest KP force to the undisputed lowest KP force.

Maxed out HQ support choices: 3
JSO with 6x platoons and transports: 1
JSO with 6x platoons and transports: 1

Total cost for 150+ men with up to 15 armored vehicles: 5 KP

AHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAAHA

Only way to beat Guard is by tabling them.

Depends what VS of KP we be using (?) the one we have all come to agree on and hate:

KP for troop "choice" + varreid KP for other "units"

I guess people should also note the fact that in the 3rd mission, it is more important to capture both objectives than get the most KP. You grab both objectives and LOSE the KP war and still score a Mayor victory! So in 2 of the 3 missions, the battle is really about the objectives!
