I may have missed it if this was ever a thread, but what are some of the most ridiculous and outlandish things you have seen cooperating on an apocolypse battlefield.

I also would like to know if you have any combos yourself you feel that if YOU play...you would be king of cheeze!

For instance, I figured that with Apoc Reload, I got me a good combo. Problem is, if I play it, everyone else will quit(buncha babies..it can be decimated in one shot!)
Take a new Stormlord, no side sponsons for the 14 side armor.
Then take 10, 3 man squads of SW Long Fangs, 2 with Lascannon, and the sergeant.
Viola!!! you have 20 lascannon shots that fire essentially independantly, and 15(or 30) Vulcan shots, depending on movement.

Tanks...check, Infantry...check

Downside,
1. One lucky shot could concieveably blow them all to smithereens.
2. The cost....oh gods the cost.
3. Noone wants to play with you, they take their GI Joes and go home!

an Epidemis army mixed with plague marines and Nurgle demon princes that are dirt cheap. Plus using that one asset that nurgle can take to put the kill count to insane levels.

Comparing tournament records is another form of e-peen measuring.

Yeah...um...ok....no thanks.....

Though taking several damocles command rhinos for 60 points each would definitely ruin anyones day.
Three or four of those should be able to tell that ork mob where to stick it.

They are sick sick sick I tells ya.

Oh, crap, Ein. That's just nasty.

One problem. Green Tide has to have a Warboss, so you need one of those, too.
Why not add Ghazghkull for the "Super Waagh?"

Grotsnik= 225
Ghaz = 160
100 Boyz = 600

That's a 985 point beating stick... at MINIMUM SIZE!!!!!

I can see it now.
How many points we playing? Five thousand?
Okay. I'm playing 5 Green tides. Go takea nap. It's my turn for move.

These sorts of combos should not be taken in "bring and battle" type deals. They should be balanced with a sick combo for the other side. Apoc works best when both sides get designed to fight each other.

That all have to charge and fight as one, so just lead them off and keep them out of the game with pathetic throwaway units.

The Green Tide is intimidating but ultimately useless.

I thought Ork mobs came win a mandatory nob w/ power klaw. Or was it the nob w/ power klaw that came with a mandatory 29 boyz.

Well, you have to have a Boss in a green tide, so he should have been able to take that down.

Running a Boss without a Big Choppa at the minimum is an executable offense, though.

I've played the green tide grotsnik combo twice now. It looks sweet, but isn't very effective. My opponents just kept putting a few sacrifice squads in the way and followed it up with some apocalypse sized templates. It's still a lot of fun and way cool to see 100+ models on the table.

Slaughterfiend Bloodpack and Maestrom of Gore. I'm a chaos space marines player and even I think that's a mayor McCheeeze combo. A line of 2D6 fleeting seven S10 attack daemonic machines with bloodthirsty space marines hanging on their sides ready to leap into melee. And if any of the Slaughterfiends get blown up, the Berserkers have fleet of foot and their enemies don't. Six Slaughterfiends and six 20 strong Berserker units equals a swath of soul-destroying devestation. Aspiring champions with powerfists and a couple of plasma pistols in each Berserker unit just for that bloody cherry on top.

Well, my favorite thing to do would be to get

1 10 man assault squad with decked out sergeant. 1 Decked out chaplain with jump pack, 1 decked out Master with jump pack. and 3 super techmarines with jumppacks. so lets see here... on the charge that's

5 flamers ( yes... 5)

3 twin linked plasma pistols

28 power weapon (at least) attacks (24 of them master crafted of course)

24 regular attacks (that count as being master crafted.

and, lets not forget the 6 power fist attacks.

thats a whole lot of death... not points effective at all of course... but funny as hell to watch.

oh.. just counted up the points for that in the "old" codex

thats about 1114 points.... I think I might jsut do that next game

and hey... that kind of squad saves you money

Since you don't have to stick to one army list, how about 2 farseers (to make sure you get fortune off) and 8 (or more) Wych Archites with punishers tormentor helms and shadowfields. Put them in whatever kind of transport floats your boat (land raider?) Just make sure the farseers stay out of combat, which should be easy since they're all ICs.

Depending on drugs, you could have 48 WS6 S5 power weapon attacks at initiative 8 with re-rolls to hit.

Oh, and fortune for that 2+ re-rollable invulnerable save.

Absurd, of course, but fun to think about.

I was distressed recently when an entire Maelstrom of Gore came on my rear table edge using whatever that tactical whosit is.

One unit coming on the rear is bad, 30 berserkers is terrible. The fact that 70% of the mixed army I was playing was infantry heavy guard didn't help. I also think that's a fancy idea with the Green tide, should that tactical whosit be available to Orks. (as you can see my Apocalypse lingo is a little rough)

He knows that I know and you know that he actually doesn't know the rules at all.

What about entire "squads" of broodlords. Whilst ICs cannot actually form squads it woluld look cool. And I would happily let my opponent form them into a squad. Ultimate killing machine.

Or how about 5 full infantry platoons with no upgrades? Thats 275 models for 1700pts!

Genestealers in a land raider wouldd be a killer!

Or assault terminators on a raider.

His Boss had a Power Klaw. The Carnifex was I2, Str10. Warboss was picked out and Instant Deathed before it could attack. Not sure where the nob was in all of this.

I'm thinking I'm going to run a tournament at the FLGS next month. 1750 pts, Apoc rules. I'll probably allow anyone to ally with anyone. I've been talking about running one like this for a bit now. I'm going to call it the Whine and Cheese event. It could be interesting to see what people bring with no force, or even army, restrictions.

Another really nasty unit vs Nids... well vs anything that enjoys life really (and who doesn't aside from whiny, angsty, emo kids who don't think that their daddy doesn't love them enough *cough* traitor primarchs *cough* cough*) is getting an inquisitor lord, with a retinue of 14 warriors or whatever the feth they're called, a land raider crusader, and flamers for every single one of them. Thats right, 14 flamer shots, a multi melta, a tw assault cannon, 6 tw bolter shots (i know... amazing huh?), and if you choose to charge (just on the off chance that their is anything still stubbornly refusing to turn to ash) you have a inquisitor lord with aforce weapon, and a powerfist to kill the rest.
