Yes. They are. I just finished with 3 of them, and made a conversion for their sarge. The Last two are giving me a real problem. By the way, when I upload the pics, they are NOT ULTRAMARINES! And how do i upload pics, I think I can figure it out on my own, but help is always appreciated. Thanks.

Why not make the post we you have the pics uploaded? Other wise it wastes peoples time and they are less likely to visit when you do have pics to show...

Well he is asking how to upload so I guess it's not quite so bad. Which, to answer your question, is in gallery/your gallery/upload images. And I think the link comes up next to your gallery image in the gallery.

If you have them on your PC it's pretty easy to just attach them to a post. Just click on Attachements and select the file.

And they should show up now. *crosses fingers*

My dad says that they are stationed on a tropical planet. LOL!

EDIT: The white is now almost entirely phased out, and has been replaced with blue or black. I'll try and get you a new pic.

I see what you did there...is the second one from the left a lot shorter?

They look good, get them fully painted though. Do you use an undercoat? It really helps get the paint on smooth.

And if they're not ultrasmurfs, what are they doing with blue camo?

I like the conversion, but the paint looks rather glossy. Are you leaving the paint like that, or do you plan to change it?

The second from the lefts shorter because he's made using guard hvy weapon team legs. And no, I din't use an undercoat. (DOOAH!) it's an old pic, so they have recieved a little bit more of attention. They are the scouts of the Wolves Templar, hailing form an agri world that experiances terrible winters, the water freezeing blue, causing the camo. The big guy is my converted chaplain.

Man, now that I see them I wish I wouldn't have told you how to put them up in the first place

On a more serious note:
Blue Space Marines? Really? Well, if you have to:p

Shiney colors on Power Armor is okay, but Scouts should neither have such shiney armor nor such shiney pants.

You just hurt my eyes.

Seriously though, you need to undercoat your models, and you need to learn to shade/highlight.

The actual stances and conversions are actually quite good but the painting really lets them down.

Sorry if they don't look that good, but I don't care. It's my first attempt at painting, and I'm quite plesed. Note, I have done some more work on them, I just can't find my camera to post the pics. The reason the scouts are shiny is because they'll fulfill a much more Black templar style of scout, which is also why I gave the sarge a plasm pistol, not pictured.

I intend for them to be used more assualty, but also keep them equiped for any sitiuation, which is why one of them has a bolter.

Let me guess.

You couldn't get the paint to stick, so you used more. That's why it looks thick and glossy.

For the next batch, use a spray primer of some kind. GW, Citadel, cheap car ones (I don't
know which brand people use) and then you can use thinner paint that will stick.

Question: What exactly did you want help with? You have the converting part down, it seems, so
I'm not sure which of the figs you wanted advice for.

Meh, I like my explanation better

Everybody has to start somewhere scout. If these are you're first painted minis, then that's that. But these pants look like something from the 70s.

A slum in scotland... the only shinty with a computer!

Little tip, if you cant get a hold of any primer then wash the modles with warm soapy water and you can use chaos black watered down slightly, that sometimes works for me, but sprey primer is good and quick for batches. to complement, i have seen worse first attempts before, and you can only get better.

you did make it hard for yourself by picking scouts insted of tac marines... there slightly easyer to get a good job done on as there basicly all the same colour (usualy unless you choose not to).

If you're wondering why they don't look all that much alike, I will esplain. Spase Marines HURR! are supposed to be indivduals, and I tried to make that apparent by giving them the same colors, but in different places.

hey man dont worry about the paint job at least you jumping in most people have lousy first time figs . what you want to do is go up too your search bar and look for some painting sites that show you how its all done there is so many out there you can klearn the basics and take it from there .... also you can spray prime them white and just us the new washes and they will come out real nice those washes work wonders .

A few things...

First of all this is a very good start no matter what the other idots have to say. We all started somewhere and there are on par with what I first cranked out 12+ years ago.

Second, a primer will help you a great deal. Once you start going from a solid base colour your painting improves in leaps and bounds.

Third, Space Marines are the least individual army out there (with exception to Necrons) they are based upon uniformity and cohesiveness. Also their armour and weapons are all Codex prescribed (by Roboute Guilleman) so they are intended to be the same. The recruits themselves will also generally be of very similar stature as Marine recruits are generally chosen for a set of attributes (tall, muscular, etc) so that means after their transformation into Space Marines they will all look very uniform in size and appearance.

Now all that said I re-iterate these are good for a first attempt and try to take the useful suggestions here and use them, and ignore the naysayers who can't say anything but negative comments.

And don't be so snarky, it won't get you many helpful reponses, or tips. I offered my advice as I felt bad the other trolls berated you and that is what likely irked you.

And finally...

Show us MOAR!!! (Updates and pics )

By individualizing, I meant that if you look at a few pics of marine armor (the last codex edition of the marines, second page) you see a pic of Uriel Ventris, and it is very ornate looking, which I what i was shooting for with the chap (which was a very bad epic fail) Also, sorry if I came across as snarky.

I'll try and find a good pic of my sarge conversion. If you're wondering what bitz I used for it, they are cadian heavy weapon squad pointy arm with the hand clipped off, spase marine HURR! commander plasma pistol minus the targeter, and a standard sarge arm, minus the chain sword so that it looks like a brass knuckle. I'll aklso include a pic of my fav, but my pcs being difficult now.

I was asking people if they could help me post the pics, I had alot of trouble with it. But Anung helped! A question I have is this: My dad bought paints that, acoording to the bottle, the best to use for all you're model car and train needs! I know that you can use practically any paint, but should I scrunge up the cash and order some citadel paints. I are very confused.
