Simply a thread for us to show off our absolute favourite models from our collections, and no reason it has to be GW.

This is my pride and joy. I am so chuffed with the way this badboy came out! By far my most amibitious conversion to date, and the only one so far to actually turn out as I envisaged it.

The body, rather obviously is of course from the High Elf plastic Dragon, simply with the forelegs left off. The tail is a straight pin and stick job from the Wyvern kit, as was the head, albeit with a bit more effort (had to hack through the neck, almost through my finger, and took and age!).

I then used part of the wyvern neck, greenstuff and sprue to build up the Riders torso and legs. Feet, shoulders head and arms all come from the Warboss plastic kit, as do the two armoured plates above the Wyvern head and tail, which are primarily there to cover up my weak greenstuffing skills!

I wish I had a pride and joy :( My old marines army has a land raider and such but being an old army none of them really look the best. Only "new" stuff I have are my two recently completed Carnifexes. I'll take a picture of them just to keep this thread going. Poor guys wont stand a chance against all the warhounds and Super-heavies that will be posted though

The concept behind it is that being a Savage Orc Warboss, if the Boyz allowed him to sit in the saddle, he'd be inclined to jump off the second he spies (from on high...) an enemy formation.

So instead he gets drugged, tied up, sent up, and used to find a punch up, the rest of the tribe running along enthusiastically.

I don't have any massive centerpiece figures, but I do happen to like my slightly-converted Cobra figures. The Baroness has been on my workbench for ages, and I'm not sure I'll get around to doing Dr. Mindbender and Storm Shadow.

Its my greater chaos dragon, they have rules for it on the forgeworld website. He clocks in at just under 1,000 points, and takes three rare choices to field him. It really turned out a bit too chaotic, there's a lot of wasted detail on him. I'm going to school right now to correct those design issues BEFORE I make the model, rather than after.

fffft. even if you cut off my fingers and put out my eyes, I would continue to make models. you would find me under the floorboards and in crawlspaces, a clayshaper in my teeth and a lump of mud in my stumps, mewling and spitting in the darkness.
