Well, I don't think it really had anything to do with politeness. If I'd known there were rumors, I would have posted them. I certainly wouldn't abstain from posting juicy skaven rumors in this thread out of impoliteness, if I had juicy skaven rumors to post, that is.

I didn't know there were any reliable rumors yet.

1. Skaven are the next book out.
2. due to problems playtesting the book, Beasts of Chaos may bump it. (I have a really tough time believing this.)
3. Skaven are due out in Aug.
4. I've heard, this maybe delayed as late as Oct.
5. new Plastic kits for Clanrats, Storm Vermin and a Doomwheel!!
6. Which would mean the return of the hamster wheel of doom. Sweet.
7. Return of the Vermin Lord!! Will he be a Greater daemon, or cause a 6 page thread arguing if he is a daemon?
8. Warp Lightning will be nerfed down to str 4.

There aren't. Not reliable ones, anyway. These are just the ones that keep popping up, possibly just doing laps of the rumour sites

Reliable or not, all I really want to see is new plastic Clanrats. I was never happy with the current ones as they've always looked more like monkeys to me.

I heard that when the Skaven come out the new models will be totally awesome, the codex will have great art work and a lot of new options and everyone will want to start a new Skaven army.

I've seen at least two people with Space Skaven armies utlising Orks Rules... pretty sweet :-)

Never liked the current skaven either, which is why my horde is made of the OLD skaven.... VERY old that is, the mid 80's first plastics which are HUGE in comparison :-)

Yep, current Skaven plastics starting to look dated. Too many bits as well. I don't collect rats, but I know cleaning sprue marks off all those tails would drive me insane.

BTW Druidic, are you talking about the Warhammer Quest Skaven? They were almost impossible to rank up. You had to cut the slot holders off their feet (sorry, paws) and realign them.

Yep, thats the ones I think!

Had to convert everyone to make them rank up, and I even have a unit being converted into spears.

Have about 160+ all told!

The current skaven (of which I have several boxes) will get made into slaves as they are so much smaller!

Looking forwards to a new Army Book if its indead true!
