figured i would catalog my progress with this little side project. im a deathguard player, i have over 5000 points of painted deathguard and i love them, but i need a change. i wanted to paint power armor again, but i cant play loyalist so i went back to the chaos codex and decided to go with something slaanesh. not trueblood emp. children, but slaanesh heavy for sure. here are some snaps of my first models. first up are 2 of my 6 obliterators. sadly they dont have any extravagent codpieces, but the guns are enough i think.

up next is my termie lord, standard lord with MoS and lightning claws, he was also my first foray with the GW washes, in which i am not ADDICTED TOO!

finally i give you my other chaoslord, notice the angel wings and the gigantic "blissgiver" growing out of his pelvic region. he is currently giving the bliss of slaanesh to a dark angel chamion.

bases are back to basix, from australia. they are dirt cheap, i paid 40 bucks for enough bases to do the entire 2000 point army. check out there site if you want. they are from Oz, but worth the wait.

i plan on updating at least once a week.

Where did you get those wings, and what are they made of (metal, or plastic)? I'm looking for some feathered wings about that size.

those are peg wings, got them from bitz box a UK based bitz site that sells them pretty cheap.

The painting and modeling is top notch, but I have to say that I don't like the fact that the winged lord has a Dark Angel on his base. It's just not going to look right when he's fighting non-DA armies.

Awesome colours. More bright and vibrant than a cyber-goth convention. Love the terminator lord. The winged lord is pure insanity at it's best. *Resists urge to make crude and infantile penis jokes.* I imagine he could even give a dreadnought a "penetrating hit" *Resistance failed*

Some very nice looking models here. The Chaos Lord must have been quite a job to ballance out so it wont tip over. However the Termie lord looks best from a painting and modelling point of view.

this is true, but i had to have the blissgiver impaling someone, so its always gonna look out of place no matter what he is killing.

Bump for the Back-2-Base-ix bases. I've purchased from them several times, and their product is great.

Nice work on the painting - the bold pink ties them together adequately despite the rainbow of other colours. The winged lord's wings looks a little odd though.

they are the larger claws from the plastic demonette box set, as is the standard on his back. the head is a dark elf head. his cod piece is also from the demonette box.

Great work Dave! I love that Terminator Lord and the winged lord is really great too.

It's a very vibrant colour scheme but its not too busy or confusing and works really well.

time for an update, rough week but i got alot done. first up i finished all the obliterators, here is a group shot before they branch off into there paired units.

then i have both of my blastmaster noise marine units done>

Ha! Freaking amazing colors Studder, no doubt a blast to paint. I'm actually surprised at the lack of crotch-slung weapons on the oblits, given the obvious phallic reference of a lascannon (or two!) ...

But the champs with the power schlongs are giggle-worthy indeed. I like that the red guy is holding this tiny knife in his hand in addition to the impaler equipped below

base was the deciever with some spawn bitz, complete kitbash. came out well i think.
