So, I love beer. Just curious as to what everyone's favorite beer is or best beer you've ever had. I had a 2004 Old Ale by North Coast Brewing just a month ago and it was amazing.

Sorry friend, beer discussion is well underway. Ale does sound good right now though.

That one had gone too far into the other alcohols. I don't like my beer threads diluted with mention of the *other* fermentations...

Well, as stated earlier I'm a Budweiser man, but when the cash is plentiful I like a nice ale or cider as much as the next man. Fat tire, woodchuck, Amberboch, etc...
One of my fondest beer memories occured last year. I have some family that owns some farmland. My dad and I had spent a good portion of the day fishing for Crappie and small-mouth bass. We were slaying those fish big time. We met my uncles and my grandpa at a pond just off the highway. My uncle has a habit of keeping a cooler full of beer and firearms in his truck. We enjoyed some suds and took turns shooting at snakes and turtles that were attempting to cross the pond. Good times, good times.

Tuborg is a lovely crisp lager if you ever get the chance to sample it. Comes in a cracking bottle too.

I've never had Tuborg. I'll have to see if my sister can sneak me back a bottle from the old empire.

Did you just put lager FTW? Haha... shoot man, can't say I've ever had a lager that made me sit and think about it. Now I have had lagers that quench my thirst quite well which is where mr. yuengling comes in. Too bad I have to drive to get that stuff though, with summer coming up I would enjoy a few.

Guinness.
The discussion ends.
Although, I did have a nice pint once, made by a local brewery, called 'Saxon Berserker'! 14% and sooooo good.

I used to be all about Killians, but I've started not liking it so much of late. Now, I tend to drink Spaten when I go out with the lads - there's a biergarten in town that has Optimator on tap, which is strong, delicious, and tons of fun to order
Though I'll admit I'm a liquor man 98% of the time.

Local: Coopers (green) or Cascade pale.
Imports: Molsons is quite nice. I can take Stella in small doses, too.
Not keen on Weissbiers at all (the latest fad here.)

Cheddar valley cider ftw. It comes in a big plastic keg and lists it's strength as 6-16%. They make a huge batch every autumn and it continues to ferment all year long In September it is a refreshing drink, around this time of year it has the bikers at my local seeing pixies within 5 or so pints. There's a great brewery near Liverpool called Phoenix. Pretty much every beer they make is top-notch (White Monk being perhaps the finest beer ever made). BrewDog ( http://www.brewdog.com/) also makes fantastic ale. As for Lagers (shudder) the only one worth drinking is Budvar. Original and best.
