So what's ya'lls plans for the upcoming weekend? I'm attending the Indy 500 for yet another year. I friggin love that race. The engines, the speed, the beer. It's all just a very wonderful thing.

I don't get work off.

But it's cool, I'm hanging out with my girlfriend all weekend. We're going to have some real freaky naughty sex.

Once upon a time, I told myself it's better to be smart than lucky. Every day, the world proves me wrong a little more.

Can I feasibly use an American holiday to stay in and have freaky sex? St.Georges day is pretty dull.

I really should be spending my time more constructively.

Didn't know.

Deff - The race is totally different live. I hated racing until I went.

Yeh, live racing. I went to a formula 1 race once. Couldn't determine the drivers because they were going so fast, had to call up someone watching at home to find out who won. Fansmeggingtastic.

I'd much rather watch a sport where you can actually see all the action, rather than a segment of the track. I can get the same experience I do at a race as I can standing next to the M6.

Probably yard work. Likely carting kidlets around to some school event or party.

500 is a bit different as its a 4 turn track and if you are at the top of turn 4 (where my seats are) you see the entire track with the drivers being extremely visible. Formula 1 and Indy car are completely different. dumas.

Oh I c, this is one of them 'drive around in a circle for a few hours' races you have over there. In that case I see where the excitement comes from

Ever been to see a rally? That's even better. You stand in the middle of a forrest and every half an hour or so a car comes flying past which (provided you aren't pelted with stones) you see for about 5 seconds and then never again. Awesome!

Genius. Rally's look great on the tele though. Racing events in general are probably tough live (unless its the circle kind). I've been to the GT here and it was pretty great. I do love the smell of a Ducati 1098 in the morning...

Depends, at football grounds in the uk (particularly the lower league games) it can get out of hand. At cricket matches it's usually more civilized. And the thing is, at the cricket people are usually more drunk because they've been sitting their all day long drinking one pint after another, it's just a different kind of spectator. In my opinion, more wit, better crack - as apposed to efin' this efin' that and the same old chants ten times over you get at football matches.

Well I thought fights at cricket matches would be more civilized,I always imagined they would have a pistol duel, lol.

I love the videos where they come whipping around a corner and miss the crowd by a 1/2 meter (or even some random guy/deer in the middle of the road). Rally races look like they would be a lot of fun. Add acoholol and the English country-side; you have an exciting day.

SO ANYWAYS.... I think of all the mondays you could have off with a holiday it would be Memorial Day. I don't know about other states/countries, but our public pools open come monday. It's basically the green flag for the summer. The weather is in its prime (in my area at least) and there is usually a good movie or two released in May. I'm looking forward to the slabs of thinly sliced cow flesh I will be slapping on the grill.

Yes indeedy. We are going to a water park Monday most likely. They serve rum runners there.

Kids playing, me in shades checking out the scenery whilst enjoying an RR, like, she is good!

Yep. You don't know the half of it.

Dude the LARGEST WATER PARK IN THE WORLD is less than 2.5 hours from the house. It has rides where the water pushes you UP.

Now that I think about it, I am within 15 minutes of one, 2.5 hours of 4, and 3.5 hours of six to seven (I'm sure Dallas has one).
