Yeah it seems so cool. I've seen the trailer and it is awesome!
Like a dream coming true, flying around with a jump pack and smashing orks with a thunderhammer..

PS3 and 360 are both good the both have great games, take your fanboy attitudes to the Escapist or GameFaqs. Believe it or not you don't have to choose one or the other... The elitism is perplexing

As for 3rd person not being as immersive well that's you opinion, I'll have to disagree, I found Mass Effect immersive, and so was Morrowind in 3rd person.

This game looks like it could be ok, I probably won't buy it until the price goes down.

3rd-person shooters are generally disappointing.


But the PS3 guys have to complain, that's just a side effect of paying so much for the damn thing. Which most of it's good games ended up on 360 anyway.

I don't complain about mine, I love having a console that doesn't have any games on it But seriously I have what I need it for, MGS4, MGO, KZ2. Honestly the other games I have for it I could have just as easily got for my 360.

PLease please gents dont get your gorgets in a twist. lets stick to the point that we have been blessed with a mighty gift that is SPACE MARINE for not 1 nay but 2 consoles both consoles having there pros and cons and yes we can all mightly agree mass effect was truely a mighty game

1st person would be better in my opinion. Might give me a reason to turn my 360 on again, as it is it's been gathering dust for a bit over a month now.

I'm also on neither side of any console war, they always seem idiotic and a waste of time to me. I don't see how people can get so worked up about them.

I find you Space Marine Fan Boyism disturbing, though making an SM game is probably slightly more original than an Imp Guard one. Look more WWII in space! Eldar could make for an interesting video game...

Honestly, not really.

You know, Relic is known for making some pretty good games. They took the Warhammer 40K world, and reinvented the RTS genre entirely. The new trailer seems very promising, but it still is mostly made of in-game video, and hardly any real gameplay. The brief flashes of gameplay look about as nice as... erm... Too Human, and we kind of know how that ended.

Based on Relic's track record, I think we'll get a solid, multiplayer 3rd person brawler RPG using Space Marines as the protagonist. That's about as much as anyone can ask for.

1. That game looks sweet. I don't even care how stupid it is that your bolter is useless

2. I much prefer 3rd person (like in Battlefront or Unreal Championship 2 or Gears) because it reminds you who are supposed to be in the game. Every first person shooter just feels like Goldeneye to me.

game seems cool, but i don't have a system to run it, so its sort of a moot point.

Too human would have been a modern day marvel like sliced bread but nay it was turned into the steaming pile of monotonous crap that it was all we can do is throw caution to the wind and pray to the immortal emperor that this Masterpiece is not tainted my shittyrushgame syndrome. I saw an add for Red Faction before the trailer started. It looks pretty fun.

Trailer was pretty bad ass too.

Only one thing bothered me, how weird the Space Marines look when they move. So disproportionate and gangly with gigantic shoulder pads.

Oh yeah... and a unit of 30 boyz with a nob would take out a Space Marine.
