I have a question for all the American, Australian, people who live in hot or generally more predictable climates. Basically do you guys apreciate it or take it for granted?

The weekend just gone and today have been just about the best days the UK has had all year and from what I can see we apreciate it. On average most days here are slate grey, dark and rainy (I live in the north of england near the scotish border btw) so when we do get hot days most people get outside and enjoy it, and it's great. I was in the centre of newcaslte the other day, pretty girls with hardly any clothing on, resteraunts actually puting tables up so you can eat outside, people having barbeques anywhere and everywhere, awesomeness.

So do you lot apreciate what you have or is it just another day for you?

+ I know some of you get blistering cold winters but at least you are guaranteed a decent summer. Unlike here which is reputed to be one of the most unpredictable climates on earth. We haven't had a proper summer for years now.

Well it depends for me really. We have a pool so it's nice to get out on a sunny day have a braai(um sorry I mean barbeque)and just genrally have a nice day.Other days I tend to carry on about it being too hot as my skin never does very well with sun but thats just when I don't have sun screen on.And the pretty girls wearing no clothing is only a bonus(Oh and what a bonus it is).

We mostly take it for granted.

Sure, those hot days are nice, but then you get the problem of so much (way too much) pasty white english flesh on our beaches (only it doesn't stay white - and red isn't an improvement).

At the moment, it's the rainy bit of the year where I am. Hopefully, we don't get another boat washed up on the beach this year. Sucks because it means I can't make terrain or spraypaint anything (humidity makes it impossible).

Summer is here. I don't take it for granted, I flee from it. In July/August the buildings melt and people are steam broiled if they step out into the suana that is outside for more than 35 seconds and are not in a pool.

I live in Tasmania, which is nowhere near as hot and dry as the mainland. We only get hot days in summer. Winter is freezing cold even on sunny days and it pisses rain a lot in midwinter. Autumn and spring are sort of a mix of the two, but there is frost virtually every morning.

Ironically, despite how cold it is in winter, we rarely get snow anywhere but the mountains.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

Georgia, where we had a huge drought last year. I hate hot weather, and love cold, rain, and clouds. I want to move to Europe just to get away from the summer heat and winter heat. It actually snowed this year in March. It was like 70's in January.

"I.. I know my time has come" Tethesis said with a gasp, a torrent of blood flowing from his lips.
"No! Hang on brother!!" Altharius could feel the warmth slip away from his dear sibling's hands

Tethesis's reached out his bloodied arm to Altharius's face.
"I..I have one final request"
Altharius leaned close to listen, tears welling in his once bright eyes.
"make sure th..they put my soulstone in a tank... it'll be... real fethin' cool"
"Yes, you're gonna be the most fethin' cool tank!!" burning hot tears streaked down Altharius's face, as he held his brother's soul in his grasp.

Indiana has messed up weather. It's raining almost every other day, but you can't really ever tell because storm systems move in rather quickly. With that said, I don't take the summer months for granted, even when it is raining.

We don't take the weather for granted here, we might not mention it all the time but we base our lives around how good it is. Beaches, picnics, sport, sitting in the backgarden with a book and a G&T, summer here kicks ass. It's winter now, but it never really gets that cold. Most days you can still wear a t-shirt, and there's maybe three or four days all year when its cold enough to use the electric blanket.

Also, the OP mentioned the pretty girls wearing a lot less clothing when its warmer. It isn't just that, but when you live by the beach the girls make more of an effort to keep fit, because they'll be wearing less clothing more often. It's all good.

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”

Oh, Death was never enemy of ours!
We laughed at him, we leagued with him, old chum.

We laughed - knowing that better men would come,

He wars on Death, for lives; not men, for flags.

Yes, yes it is. Chicago, and the Midwest in general, bears the curse of beach (where the beach is sand dumped on the shore of one of the Great Lakes) season. Which loosely translates to 'I only need to be in shape for 3 months out of the year'.

Anyway, we take the weather for granted. That, or we constantly whine about it. Everyday there will be someone kvetching about how its either too hot, or too cold. Except the locals, who all know that the real answer is that its too humid.

Life does not cease to be funny when people die any more than it ceases to be serious when people laugh.

Dogma, I think much of the country's like that.

Typical news anchor bantering with Bob the weatherman:

"So Bob, when are things going to warm up?!?"

Typical news anchor bantering with Bob the weatherman four days later:

"So Bob, when are we going to get some relief from all this heat?!?"

Most people behave similarly to said news anchor, complaining about cold in winter and heat in summer. Which is incredibly stupid if you think about it. Of course, this is all out the window if you live in SoCal. That's just a relentless march of perfect weather year-round there.

I live in Georgia too, I love the weather though. A lot of people around me don't. I can't imagine why.

If you dress for it it's lovely stepping out into 90 degree heat. It just warms you right down to the bone. I love the feeling.

But I have wanted to move to England, the cold and the lack of sun is the only thing stopping me.

Once upon a time, I told myself it's better to be smart than lucky. Every day, the world proves me wrong a little more.

One of my major problems is that I burn so easily. Pale skin + too much sun = unhappiness.

Heat is nothing to be jealous about; you can easily warm up, but the main method of cooling one's self is frowned upon in public places.

As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely the result of wishful thinking.

But there's no sense crying over every mistake;
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

I live in Northern California, Sacramento. There are only two seasons here. Summer and Spring. It only rains November through April here. It might get to freezing a few nights in the middle of "winter", but usually the cold months get down to mid 40s at the worst. It is the summer that is brutal. Sac sits in a basin, so there is little wind to make the day cool. It will get from 110 - 115 on the worst days during the summer. But with no air movement, it can really get brutal. Thankfully we don't get the humidity of the mid-west or southern states, else it would be almost unlivable. We just got some freak rain last night and everyone has been talking about it all day. It might rain once or twice more until November. I hope everyone else isn't taking 4 seasons for granted.
