What's everyone around here do for regular (or irregular in my case) exercise?

I run a bit when I get motivation (marathon, etc), but my true active love is mountain biking.

I carry my shopping home on a Saturday and have just strated sword lessons on a sunday for a couple of hours. Sometimews I'll even give my thumb a bit of extra flicking through the TV remote. And I exercise my eye lids at least once a day. It's amazing what 40 winks can do for your fitness!

5 nights a week I run six and a half to seven and a half miles, then every other session I lift some weights only around 55 to 70 pounds. I only really ever do upper body. I do my abs on a weighted machine as well and I usually do 85 to 90 pounds and a ton of reps when I do my abs, it just feels better that way.

People are telling me they can notice it now. But I haven't been able to. It's because I see myself so often I guess.

At work I lift old people on a regular basis, although I'm about to start working at a no lift facility.

I work 60 hours a week in a busy kitchen, exercise outside of work isn't really necessary. Although, a spot of horizontal jogging doesn't go amiss!

I've got a bike and go out for a ride at the weekend if the weather is good. I'll also ride to the supermarket.

I've just been given a rowing machine and I use that every evening. Due to being so unfit I can only do about five minutes so far but I will build it up over a couple of months. Although I used to be a super-fit rower at school that was a long time ago.

"I.. I know my time has come" Tethesis said with a gasp, a torrent of blood flowing from his lips.
"No! Hang on brother!!" Altharius could feel the warmth slip away from his dear sibling's hands

Tethesis's reached out his bloodied arm to Altharius's face.
"I..I have one final request"
Altharius leaned close to listen, tears welling in his once bright eyes.
"make sure th..they put my soulstone in a tank... it'll be... real fethin' cool"
"Yes, you're gonna be the most fethin' cool tank!!" burning hot tears streaked down Altharius's face, as he held his brother's soul in his grasp.

I have a slightly OT question for everyone as well. Why do you work out?

P.S. I'm getting ready for the Zombie-Apocalypse (no joke)

I work out so that I'm not completely fethed up health wise when I'm older. I also have way more energy later in the day when I've exercised that morning vs days that I don't. Not being fat is always a plus too.

I figure it doesn't hurt to get fit, and working out is just a nice way to vent out some aggression/aggravation caused by work/life.

I live in midtown Atlanta, so as one of the very few Atlantans who has the option to walk places rather then sit in traffic it would be inappropriate not to. So basically I walk to get where I'm going most of the time.

I do a few weights (in between girlfriends) for the obvious reason, but tend to loose interest very quickly. I try to get involved with more energetic/lifting jobs at work when possible. If I have a solid reason to make effort I don't mind, but when at home I can think of more interesting ways to use my time. When posisble I try to do theatre work - amazing what it does for firming up the muscles!

Also a good challenge is getting a few mates, an akward route and seeing who can carry the most 5litre water bottles the furthest. Two is easy but three gets pretty akward. Have seen a chap manage four with ease, but he had huge hands to hold two in each by the handle.

I do at least one sit-up a day (half getting up, half laying down), sorry joke failure.

I need to start working out again. When I get into a regiment it usually involves jogging, stairmaster, and stationary bike. I do some weights, but since I generally work out alone I would rather not risk pinning myself to the bench (happend once, not happening again).

I also mow a couple of times a week (my house and my dad's house he's renovating). Our yard takes an hour or so and his takes nearly two hours. His yard has Bermuda grass which takes a little extra effort. It's not a lot of work, but it's better than nothing. I'm also cutting back on sugary stuff and trying to drink more water.

I love being good at sports.

I'm in the gym 7 days a week. This means 5 days of weight training, and 7 days of cardio. Weights follow a pretty standard distribution, with an emphasis on core training. Cardio is always about an hour, but might be anything from skating laps to a 10-mile run.

In your base, ignoring your logic.

I like to lift some weights whenever I feel mad, I would use a punching bag, but they are rather expensive.

Usually I just work out to make myself feel tired.

About the most I do is walk, though I cycle and swim during the summer. But since I screwed my back and shoulder up I've been doing a lot less and have put on a bit of weight

Once my shoulder is sorted, gonna probably loot my brothers weight bench and do a lot more cycling.
