I do, actually. Though I can't afford the car I want:

Lets see: I work out cause It makes me better at what I do for a living... Now Army Reserves and Volunteer Firefighter.
Mon-Fri I hit the gym at the Station.. Working my way through the Px90 workout.
Sat-Sun once a month I have Drill so I do the whole pushup/situp/run thing
Sat-Sun Once a Month I Grab my Sword and shield, throw on a bunch of metal armour, and join the collective in a game we like to call "Beat the snot out of you roundtable"... in the name of Combative Fun of course..
Sat or Sun Once a Month I go to the range and shoot. If you havent done it, Proper CQB shooting will kick your butt PT wise. Plus its always fun to go shooting.

I do cardio about 5 times a week, dispersed between boxing and running.
Otherwise I focus a lot on upper body exercises using my bodyweight, ie. pushups, pullups and chinups.
I workout to be healthy and look good.

Um. I don't really get the opportunity to exercise. There are quite a few roads in my town that I avoid because of the people there (a lot of muggings and fights occur on streets like that), and my town isn't really that big at all, and I can only go one direction (the other way is the highway, which isn't that safe to walk up).
I rode my bike quite a lot before it got stolen. I haven't been able to get a new one yet. So I just walk my dog for an hour most days, which isn't always a good idea at this time of year. It's cold, wet, and foggy all day. Automatically Appended Next Post: Typeline wrote:I have a slightly OT question for everyone as well. Why do you work out?
P.S. I'm getting ready for the Zombie-Apocalypse (no joke)
Too many Romero movies at a young age, huh?

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made. |

I try to use the treadmill at work at least once a day for 15-20 minutes. I recently joined an aerobics class at a JC. So far I've only attended half a class. That was on the first day... I left early to try to buy blizzcon tickets. The second day of class, a week later, I was hung over so I missed it. This week... *crosses fingers*

I cycle.
30 minute ride twice a day. That's about 16km on the flat ground around here. I generally sit on around 20-30km/h. Enough to generate a sweat (though in summer I don't notice while I'm moving).
That and I walk a lot.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.
