The opponent who:

- rechecks every measurement you make?
- rechecks your flamer and blast template hits with his own... and will always argue that its 1 less hit than you say ?
- 50 % of cover for MC's and Vehicals is always in his favor and never yours ? ( i had to use the 5+ cover with him more than any other game.)
- LOS is never in your favor but always in his ?
- sighs when you use something out of the codex that he doesnt understand? (he only reads the SM codex as far as i can tell)
- 2.5 hr game that went 2 turns because of this and constant checking codexes and Rule book.

I met this guy this week..... sigh

Do you mean like the Black and White Space Marine on the Black and White Bike?

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

Problem: found. If he's young, teach him not to play Marines. If he's old he should know better than to be still playing Marines.

Real life situation: Wednesday night there was an argument at the table next to me. TFG said that that player B couldn't contest an objective. I asked why not and he replied that the Player B didn't have his entire unit within 3" of the objective. Customary mental facepalm followed. We then went on to have a 10 minute "discussion" regarding why he believed that when the rules says that a unit must be within 3" of an objective that it doesn't include any part of the unit. At some point he just says, "I've given enough examples I'm done talking about it."

Why did you clone this guy and send him to me? I didn't do anything to you, did I?

A slum in scotland... the only shinty with a computer!

sadly theese people are usualy less intelegent than they makethemselfs out to be, this is why the feel the need to argue about every desision made and make an agrgument about anything possable!

there is usualy one simple reason for this, if your busy arguing you aint thinking "hey this guy IS an idiot!!!" but thinking what to say that the idiot will understand...

They're always less intelligent than they think they are. That's why they're TFG. Typically they're just smart enough to think they're smarter than everybody else.

They also usually have very strong opinions regarding Katanas, and the uberness thereof.

Previously mentioned TFG also made the announcement that, "You will not find anybody who measures more accurately than me" after Player B questioned the number of engaged models that the TFG said that would be attacking (apparently TFG said 'all of them' according to player b). I pull out my handy, dandy tape measurer and low and behold 3-4 models weren't going to be attacking.

I don't want to get in a fight over little plastic men, but I think I can handle this TFG if he wants to rumble.

LETS DO IT!!

Edit: I don't want to sound like I was a rules lawyer or anything, but when you are 3 feet away from somebody else who is playing and each side keeps raising their voice then I feel that I should step in. Plus player b is the cousin of a good friend so I am trying to get him up to snuff.

An effective way to dispose of TFGs is to fill a spray bottle with one part citrus extract, one part ammonia and two parts water. Spray directly into the face, the ammonia should disorient and stun him temporarily and the citrus extract covers the smell and helps the solution adhere. With that done it should be simple to roll him up in garbage bags or a tarp and dump him at another store.

Due to the biology of TFGs they should attach themselves to the store within a few hours since they're feeding habits dictate they must return to nest every 14 hours. More stubborn TFGs may take up to 3-4 attempts to relocate, there are several ways of speeding up this process.

1. Travel in even number groups, TFGs have an organ that can hone in on a pick up game.
2. Don't leave open food containers lying around
3. Encourage diversity of flora and fauna, stores dominated by a single species make it easier for TFGs to forage.
4. TFGs have a tendency to form packs, if you have more than one TFG it's advisable to displace them all at once otherwise they'll keep returning to a communal location.
5. Maintain sanitary conditions.

When picking a store for relocation there are several factors to consider: food availability, distance, natural predators and time of year. Food shortages and predators are the biggest concern for a successful relocation too much of either or both can force the TFG to return and increase the difficulty of further displacement. Summer is generally the best time to move a TFG since prey is more plentiful during the summer and heat discourages long treks to return. However the heat does degrade the length of time the previously mentioned spray solution lasts. Alternatively winter with cold and abundance of prey is also an excellent time to displace, the main difference between the seasons being the increase in predators during winter. A rare phenomenon when relocating a TFG is the development of a migration pattern. This is generally cause by choosing a store within 20 miles of the previous store causing the TFG to move between the stores in order to maintain forage. Shortages of forage at either store can exacerbate this situation. Be warned that larger packs of TFG are more susceptible to this.

I played a guy like this once... He also said his defiler got a cover save from its legs..... ITS OWN LEGS.

I stopped playing him at that point, which prompted his most awesome response ever: "So I win then?"

Its a freakin game people. Don't take it so seriously. Winning is nice, but its a game. No money, or hell even pride is on the line. Just play.

There's no reason to bash Nyarly like that, especially since he posts here on Daka and is a swell guy to boot.

I've had that happen. I gave him a dumbfounded look and then told him no. He returned the dumbfounded look and I got to entertain myself for 10 minutes while I packed up my stuff arguing over why I obviously won.

At Game Kastle in California we do not have anyone i know that fits that description. we do have some that get mad after a game but they keep it inside. the store i go to is cool , it will close and leave the game room open 24 hours or until the last person leaves. the worst i seen is an argument over terrain , but one of the guys picked up and i ended up playing the other.
