Hello everyone. Here is our first July News Video. I hope this answers most of your questions. Many people have emailed us over the past couple of weeks because of the Kinghammer post (thanks for that, lol) that started some rumors.

I hope this news and info is helpful for everyone. Thanks for your support. We could not have gotten this far with out Dakka and all of its great members. We love you guys. (not in that weird way)

Sounds great. I have an original sabol bag I'd like to trade in, it's dirty and it's got a broken zipper on the codex pocket in the front... would that work for a trade in? I also have an old GW hard case from like 15 years ago from before they had their logo on it, but I got it at a GW store

It is unfortunate that you're discontinuing support for the GW and Sabol bags. I was planning on buying trays for my Sabol bags, so as not to have 6 Sabol bags going into a landfill someplace. On top of that you're bag line currently is very limited and does not offer comparatively sized products (or tray alignments), yet.

Hey Romeo, would you make trays to fit a Pelican case?

Balance - I work like 18 hours per day. No crap. I've gotten bags under my eyes in the past 6 months that I never had my entire life. Cutting foam sucks! LOL

Grizgrip / Captain.gordino - We can custom cut foam for any case, but prices will be higher since its not a foam we normally stock.

Inzeos - We never will offer same size foam as Sabol with our bags. We have a totally new product built around fitting more models per square inch. Building bags that look like Sabol would make us a cheap copy of Sabol. We want to build a good name for our products with great customer service and well built products.

Combatmedic - I'll Billy it up a bit more next time. Man, I miss that guy. He always had a smile on his face. So sad.

Necros - Yes, as long as the bags are still in good condition and are not ripped or broken they can be traded in.

You know, it is a good thing to see that BattleFoam has gone to what appears to be a growing and thriving concern in such a short time. I can only hope that it continues, as Romeo seems to have a great product with great reviews. Good job, and thanks for coming in and answering question.

The trade-in has me intrigued, I've got a couple old GW hard cases in the basement, and if the trade in value is decent, it would definitely push me to get myself a P.A.C.K system. (Though Romeo might very well hate my conversions, the custom trays will be... involved...)

So Romeo, what are your plans for the truckloads of old bags and cases you may receive? Just curious

it's great to see you guys doing so well. a decent carry case is worth splashing out on any day!

You spent all that time explaining the new 800 number in the video and completly missed an opportunity to actually state the number.. I know I was waiting to hear it... Perhaps it was an oversite, .....

As a pure idea (and I'm OK with you saying "That makes no sense") I was briefly excited when The War Store astarted carrying cardboard 'cheapy trays.' Unfortunately, they're different dimensions from the Sabol bags.

What would be neat is a cardbox box solution designed to hold a number of your trays, so those with older armies that might not spend much time out and about can be stored well, then transfered to the good carrying bag as needed.

I think you miss understood what I was saying. I never said that you should build bags like Sabol. I said it is a shame that you are dropping that foam support so early. Because your bag selection that exists today are either very, very large or very small. You have very little to offer at present in the medium sized range.

My second point was that I understand you offer a new foot print of foam and bags. In the essence of being green as a consumer I would rather buy new custom foam from you for my Sabol bags, then add more crap to a landfill some place.

I understand your bags are much more ruggedly built than Sabol; however, not all of us require that level of build out. I travel < 5 miles by a car for 99% of my war gaming. I'm not concerned about the safety of my models in my Sabol bags. In the six years of using their bags I've never broken a single model. However, I would like to optimize the foam layout and depth of the trays I put into these cases.

Indeed. I know that I myself will never be buying a Battlefoam bag, but I would love to continue buying Sabol size foam for my current bag. Dropping the Sabol foam is not going to encourage me to buy a Battlefoam bag, either.

ph34r - Battle Foam bags are not for everyone. We understand that and its just a fact of doing business. We hope we can help you with your army needs, but we need to make wise choices for our company. Dropping a line of products that help sell bags for a company in the same market is just smart business for us right now. It also allows us to keep production of our products high and stay more in tune with our quality. Us making foam for Sabol bags would be like sony making games for the x-box. Why would they do that? Also, we are not here to make everyone switch over to our bags. We are just offering a new product that if people like they can buy. We don't want to rule the hobby world. There is plenty of gamers out there for every company to do well. We wish Sabol and GW both nothing but luck. Having GW and Sabol in the game only makes us work harder to make good products.

inzeos - Don't you add crap to landfills everytime you buy Sabol Bags since you have to pluck and pick their foam and trash the cut outs? 80% of the Sabol trays end up getting plucked and dumped. If it makes you feel any better, we recycle all of our cut outs here at our plant and try to stay as green as possible.

DAMN Sped; I hadnt even thought about my stack of chessex. Cant wait to see Diablo's trade policy.

I received my first order from battlefoam in June; a 1520 with my custom choice of foam. I was so impressed, and had so many miniatures, I promptly ordered more foam. I did not have enough $$$ at the time to order a second bag, so I igured that I would just swap out what trays I need for the day. The second order came last week, and I finally got around to filling my extra trays on Friday. I had put my 3 now empty chessex trays by the front door to take out as trash later and sat down to dakka and what do I find? TA DA! You are going to take my crappy old cases and give me store credit! I mean, I was already going to buy a second case and now you're giving me a discount? Freakin awesome man! To bad GW didn't give me a discount if I traded in my 4th edition rules and codex when they switched to 5th. When you guys start making figures and games, if you keep up the great level of customer service you can count me in!

Hmmmmm....
