Hey everyone, I moved this from the alternative gaming forum so it could get a little more exposure. These are some concept pieces I've been working on for a new game called BRUTAL. It's being released soon from darkartminiatures.com and, I promise, will be freakin' awesome. I can't give too many details, but I can tell you it's a gritty, violent post apocalyptic gladiatorial pit fighting game that's going to revolutionize (no joke) how miniature games are played.
Enjoy!

I'm as big of fan of both hyperbole and new minis games as the next guy, but seriously? Revolutionize the way we play minis games?
The art looks good, but nothing that really makes me think "I need to get into this game." Although a game with nice minis that I can play in under an hour with a handful of minis would fill a niche quite nicely for me.

Hype hype hype!
Show us actual stuff rather than just concept art. We've all seen alot of stuff that had cool concept art and never went anywhere.
I give this a "yawn" until we see something more concrete.

Another skirmish game, sigh... I would like a quick-playing small unit game with a fairly detailed rule set, sort of like 2nd edition 40K.

Anyway, the art does look interesting, but being boastful like that is never really a good idea. I do wonder what this so-called revolutionary thing could be...clicky bases? Prepainted figures?

wow we are a cranky old bunch who really do not seem to like new ideas or if we do do not seem to let the person strive for their full potential.
I think it will be fun and as the art stands now i will be getting minis
or maybe it will be a game for the converter and thats why it is revolutionary

Good points.
I bit of a tease is OK, but if no further info is forthcoming, the fire will die...
Off Topic:
I seem to remember another start game and miniature company from a while back...
Not sure what they were called, or what happened to them though.
They did have some cool giant robot thingies that would have made awesome proxy AdMech big guys.
Can anyone help me out?

Er, sorry, that's a bit TOO giant.
No, these were closer to Dreadnought sized things.
And there were human sized counterparts too!

The range I'm thinking of had more 'real' 28mm human figures and then larger robot type figures, approximately Dreadnought scaled.
I'm trying hard to find the original thread here on Dakka.
So far efforts = fail.

I don't know if this site will ever come back up (it was up a couple of weeks ago, but I know he's not actively running it anymore so who knows), but if it does maybe you could find the game you were looking for here:
http://www.weetoysoldiers.com/wp/?page_id=167
Got tonnes of size comparisons of different companies "dreadnought" equivalents (and other models).

You know, this type of crap wanna-be viral advertising didn't work for the segway, it didn't work for GW rumors, and it sure as hell isn't making me want to play this game.
It seems all companies want to do is pander down to me. either you have a product I want to buy, or you don't. Don't sit there and tell me you have what I want, just show me what ya' got to sell, and I'll decide if its what I want.
On the other hand, I may just need to switch to de-caf.

Maybe you should. Unless it actually turned you off of a product that you otherwise would have bought, it doesn't hurt. Gaming products, more than anything, need ads not just to convince buyers, but to raise awareness. There's a big difference. I don't mind product announcments and the like.
