Read the title. Win or lose, tell me the BETEST bits of any game you've had?

Don't have the time (or memory) to write 'em all. So here's just a few.

Assualt Sergeant Romulas.
After his squad had been anihilated by the Wraithguard guns he was charged by the 5 man (wraith) squad...and a warlock. With enhance.
With just a power sword, bolt pistol and combat shield he went on to kill 2 wraiths in the first round, (and another died from being overrun). Attacking last and needing sixes to wound, he killed the entire squad over a peroid of 2 turns. After he had finished them off, he teamed up with a chaplain, ripped through a harlequin squad and tore down a squad of Dark Reapers. (sniffle) that little guy, he always comes through for me...

Another match (Apocalypse) the battle was centred around a Plaguereaper Baneblade. Feugan flank marches behind, and roll the most sixes I have ever seen in one go. The plague reaper goes down from fully functional to a massive explosion. Taking out virtually everything on the field. All that was left was a dazed squad of guardsman, a Badass Fuegan and a single Plauge Marine wondering what the feth was going on.

Can't wait to hear your stories!

Sisters - mostly converted/proxy because I'm waiting for therange to go plastic.
Tau - 2k with no riptides because I can.

Watching as a Dark Eldar Army packing 8 dark lances, two HQs (one bike, one with incubi) and a wych squad took 4 turns to wipe out my 10 strong assault terminator squad. They finally went down, but I won by a lot of kill points.

In one apoc battle I had ghazghull and 8 other warbosses in a trukk flying towards a warhound titan. they all charged and in a flurry of sixes it went nuclear. i rolled 18" for blast radius which including the base of the titan totaled up to about 22 in blast radius. it wiped out an entire half of the board except for 1 model. the model was ghazgull who had waaghhed and passed his 2+ inv. needless to say he was standing in the middle of a giant ass crater of nothing. one of the space marine players had just lost every single model he had on the field from the blast and he now hates me. after the tally of points we saw that ghazghull had killed roughly 7000pts of marines and IG and about 2000pts of orks.

So Yarrick moved right in front of a wall, a Rhino full of Noise Marine's jumped him. The only way i can think of it is as a WW2 Firing squad.

@Shadowbrand: Though not as awesome, I experienced a similar situation. Jain-Zar had just mopped up a squad of IG, and consolidated up against the wall of a building (my opponent had been hoping to consolidate out of LOS but rolled a one). I then proceeded to posistion the 30-strong combined IG squad rank by rank (3 or so ranks) into the perfect firing squad posistion. The beautiful thing was, I made sure that the models on front rank were kneeling, and there was even the commissar with the bolt pistol leading them.

Despite some 60 rapid fire shots, Jain-Zar only died by about 2 wounds.

2 ones I can think of:

Most recently when playing a Zombie game and needing 5's to wound with ten dice I rolled nine sixes and a five.

Quite a while ago, I had one Guardsman with a Vox Caster and Lasgun against a Dark Eldar Squad. I took a Leadership test - passed, turned around shot two DE and my opponent failed both of his saves. Pretty epic for a flashlight.

I have a unit of Marauders in WFB that when they have lost a combat by loads, always get double ones for the break test and hold the line.

Same army, battle standard guy, is a whirlwind of destruction until turn 5. On Turn 5, after he has killed a dragon, or a giant or some truly epic adversary, he gets killed by a wayward goblin arrow or something. One time he killed the giant and the giant's corpse fell on him crushing him.

Yeah, I know it has nothing to do with 40K

Last game: I played some IG vets out of their chimmies, and a squad with Demolitions was advancing in cover up on a squad of Leman Russes. My opponent wisely dropped a round of templates and lascannon fire on them, annihilating all but one trooper. Figuring that he would be bookin' it for his table edge, to my surprise I rolled double 1's on the LD roll. I got close enough with the trooper, carrying a meltabomb, that I nearly got into CC. I was an inch short! He then had to waste a round of shooting to blast apart the lone trooper that was making him nervous.

I won the tournament's most epic moment award for that, and got a 40k basing kit as a prize, so I was pretty happy.

Marbo arrives.

He blows up a squad of veterans, and then proceeds to blow up a Demolisher with his meltabombs. It was very (x2) sweet.

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. Lol marbo shouldn't count, because epic is supposed to represent something that is totally surprising and out of the ordinary. We already knew marbo was a bad-ass and ate demolishers for breakfast.

True, kind of like how there's nothing surprising about a avatar ripping through an IG squad.
...Unless of course it's a fifty man squad and it took him down! OH YEAH!!! It happened. But I guess I should thank the commissars power fist. It took 3-4 turns, nd there were about 20 dead IG or more, but they did it in the end. (There were a LOT of summary executions)

I've had a few pretty epic moments in my 40k times.

My favorite one is when I pulled off a 24" ram with my prisim cannon-less fire prisim into an undamaged DE raider. He failed his 3+ dodge move and we both got pens on each other, he immobilized me and I wrecked him. All and all good laughs.

A few weeks ago I was playing my Chaos against a buddy running SM. I managed to tie up his god squad of termies that had Vulkan in it for 3 turns with a squad of 8 1k sons and an aspiring sorcerer, and at the end of the 5th round of CC my sorcerer was the only one still alive. At the beginning of the following turn I turned Vulkan into a chaos spawn, and used his personal icon to summon down daemons and mop up what was left of the termies.

And just today, I had a Sorcerer Lord and a 1k sons aspiring sorcerer go toe to toe with an assault Hive Tyrant for 7 full rounds of CC. At the beginning of my turn I yet again Gift of Chaos something and it just happened to be that nasty tyrant. My terminators swept in and mopped up the rest of the tyrant guard.

I guess the lesson I've learned is chaos spawn stuff is fun!

I got three from a few years ago...

My eversor Assassin in one 3rd edition game took claim to:

A Bloodthirster
Abbadon The Despoiler + 5 Retinue
9 CSM, with the Champion left who killed the Eversor and then died as he exploded.

A lucky Scatter from a Defiler onto a Tau Commander + 2 Bodyguard and SIX DRONES. Killed them all off LOL.

BFG - against me.

Turn one three Carnage Class Cruisers blowing up (with Warp Implosion) my Retribution Class Battleship which took out another two cruisers.

Lord of the Fleet

3rd (2nd?) edition on a table with a big concrete culvert running across it. A big scrap had broken out on the larger bridge between the blood angels and tyranids.

The hive tyrant is standing on an immobilised rhino in the middle of the bridge. The rhino is destroyed and the flip-over and scatter result comes. It scatters off the bridge and into the culvert. Upside down. With the hive tyrant now underneath it

We gave him an agility test to try and get off but he failed.

My best was when lemartes and a 10-strong death company charged into my buddy's 8-strong assault termies after a lucky shot from my baal took out their LRC. I won 4-6, they tested and retreated, but I advanced, and both failed their No Retreat! saves.

My Legion of Damned squad of five members killed two Necron Destroyers with bolters. The remaining one passed his test, however.
Another time when me and my buddy were playing, every turn my buddy moved his models I was playing Pokemon Platinum on my DS. Then I always tried to start discussing something like "Maaaan Togekiss is slow" or "Goddammit Garchomp is overpowered". Then he shouts me " I DON'T WANNA TALK ABOUT F*CKING POKEMONS WHEN I'M PLAYING 40K! Besides, your Pokemon suck". Then he assault my marines with his Terminators.
All attacks miss.

When the Lord is hit he makes his 4+ inv, and is assaulted by terminators next turn killing 2 but eventually falling.

Forever alone

This one time, I sent two drop-pods full of white-hot plasma in alongside my titan. The titan relentlessly pounded away at my opponent's swarm of Howling Banshees, eventually creaming them all in one stroke as the contents of the drop-pods fired off their loads and the titan's gun penetrated deep into the mass of xenos women, discharging its blasts of white-hot energy all over them. I could almost hear them screaming as the payload painted the area white. Everyone in the FLGS turned and stared at me when I let out a loud roar of pleasure and satisfaction.

Versteckt in den Schatten deines Geistes.

*sigh* Will you ever learn Cheese...

Anyway, three stories from me.

1. Back in the day of the Ulthwe Strike Force list. Essentially you had one (or more) Webway Gates you had to deploy, and most of your army came through the Gates. My friend was playing against Tau. Early in the game two Drones detached from their Devilfish and charged the Seer Council he has. The Drones win combat, and the Seer Council falls back. Not only that, but they fell back off the table, leaving the Webway Gate at the table's edge in a horrible position.
2. Watched an Avatar charge an 8-strong squad of Firewarriors. One round of combat later the Avatar was dead.

Strange thing is both of these happened in the game game. Bad day for the Eldar.

3. My own one, again involving the Ulthwe Strike Force, I take a Guard army that includes a Callidus Assassin. The Guard army did nothing. The Callidus Assassin held off 1850 points worth of Eldar for nearly 6 turns, and survived the game. She kept charging, leaping out of combat, torching vehicles to keep them stunned/shaken, getting charged by Guardians, keeping units tight around the Webway gate so few things could get out. By the time the game was over my opponent hadn't even left his deployment zone because I had managed to contain so many things with this single Assassin. She only took one wound as well (from a War Walker in close combat).
