Hihi um i dont know what to say... im learning how to play so i can kick my boyfriends ass at something. haha i want to make a chaos army and im currently trying to make terrain to go with my army but im not having much luck with finding examples... soo um the 2 things i have questions about is:
1 what are some good units to have in a chaos army.
2 anyone have any examples of what the terrain would look like and maybe know how to construct some.

But I've been here done that. *puffs Cigarette*
But the question is which chaos army? I've got a few daemons kicking around that I use and hell I may even have a Chaos guard army on the table soon.
But I mostly play marines.

Welcome to dak dak and it depends what chaos you are talking about i am assuming daemons. If so cant go wrong with bloodletters, damonettes and daemon princes as heavys.

I always wanted to try a nurgle army myself.
All the lust in both of my Slannesh armies is quite overpowering.
Oh for terrain but a ton of the fantasy shrines and runes put em up in spikes and you got pretty good terrain.

I love the idea of being some sort of unstopable plague that you can't just point a gun at.
I may do a Death Guard or Nurgling army.
But I'm more leaning towards a Guard or Dark Eldar army.

Seriously though, are you after a Chaos Space Marine Army, or a deamon army?
Both have their up ands downs.
If you're going for Tzeench then Thousand Sons are pretty solid (if expensive) and are able to go toe-to-toe with any SM squad in a firefight.
As for Deamons, they make a very dramatic entrance, though they may take some getting used to. Having a mounstrous creature or two in your army in a basic game should help you sort out most foes soon enough. (Remember Tzeench is shooty, Slaneesh is fast)
What army does your BF collect? If you know it, then you should be able to beat it. (Edited for spelling)
Anyway, Welcome to Dakka...Chaos scum...

That's cool you're going the Daemon route, I'm also a beginner and am having trouble deciding which way to go - the Slaanesh are very appealing even if they're not as powerful as say the Khorne. So let me know how building your army goes and good luck beating your boyfriend - funny thing is you might even become way more into it than he is 
Ive also found it harder to find cool paint schemes for the daemonettes, so i posted a thread. If ya ask around people will post ideas.
Also hi and welcome to dakka. Wow that was forgetfull.
