What???

'Come Again?' was directed @ happykittengirl. I didn't understand her last post.

And don't forget that deamonettes WILL die easily. IT's kinda sad to see such expensive units die so easily from lasgun fire. And getting Masque is pretty much vital. (dance power is so kewl.)

BTW, slaanesh has the best initiative in the game, bar some eldar units. So you most likely WILL be getting the first jab in.

Other than that, I would advise for your other HQ to be a Greater Deamon of some sort. ANd mabye also a soul grinder or Deamon Prince.

Don't put your deamonettes anywhere risky when you deepstrike them (as deamons they HAVE to deepstrike).
Keep them in cover, and don't rush out into no-mans land. Make your enemy come to you.

Your main problem will probably be vehichles and the like. Rending is handy, but shoud not be relied upon to take on armoured vehichles.

i meant something like "please explain why you think pieces are good/bad." it helps if you understand why something isn't good and others are, instead of just saying "this is bad and this is good"
like you just explained how deamonettes are good and bad. not just saying that they are crap. it helps to learn about the peaces not just be told yes or no... =)

its ok i dont make sence some times...most times... =(

If you play Daemonettes and you don't want them running from cover to cover(which is a pretty great stratedgy) you can use a squad of plaquebearers as a basic body shield(one of the reasons I am so fond of them). You get a 4(5) toughness model who is ready to take some pain while your daemonettes close in behind them. When you are ready to assualt you bring 'em from behind and rip the enemy to shreds before going back to the plaque bearers.
Hope this helps.

@happykittengirl: That's okay. This, I hope, is one of my more lucid moments.

Ah, but the problem with that, my little penutty friend, is that you would be moving SO much slower if the deamonnettes had to hide behind plaugebeares. And in MOST cases all that they would recieve would be a 4+ cover save from that anyway. And this is also assuming that BOTH squads come on without scattering too badly. Things could quite quickly go to hell. (and not in a deamon FTW sense).

How about you 'downplay' your deamonettes? What i mean is, you might want to place your Greater Deamon or Deamon Prince out in the line of fire, so that it can soak up most of the damage (be prepared for it to die). At the same time, bring your deamonettes up from cover to cover.

Your biggest threat is going to be shooty armies. Horde armies (such as orks or 'nids) shouldn't do too well against deamonettes.

BIG TIP: Do NOT deepstrike out in the open. Deepstrike out of enemy LOS or even in cover if you have to. Your going to get shot to pieces if you try to go for the throat before you're ready.
