I personally always thought the heads on the Wraithlords looked kinda.... well... lame (edited by Waaagh_Gonads). Got hold of some OOP models *for a Harley army* and I molded and casted some of my own.
Whatcha think?

It is certainly an interesting idea, I see what you mean about the original wraithlord heads bieng . . . not gay but maybe a little on the blank side. Though i'm not really and eldar player so couldnt comment.

But an interesting take on it and would be good to see some paint on them to see how they turn out

Yep, its the Green Gobbo mask from the Spider man line. I think it makes em look more intimidating.

Nice Harlequin themed Wraithlords
Does this mean that you're also going to try to convert the Wraithguard? They're almost the same just smaller.

Going to be part of a harlie army good job but for a regular eldar army just don't look like they would fit in real well.

Kinda reminds me of Maximum Overdrive, like the Green Goblin Truck.

Its weird looking, simply because Im used to how BLAH the heads are on those. Nice work all the same tho, they will fit in perfectly with a harlequin army

I feel like they would feel more Harliquin if they more resembled the laughing and crying theater masks. I do look forward to seeing these painted.

Well.... Finally got em back out and threw some wash on em to show the detail, had to paint some rangers and orks today; but maybe tomorrow Ill start on em.

This makes me wonder how well the new Trygon head bitz would fit on a Wraithlord. You get three of the top, armored halves, so you or a `Nid player you know should have extras.

That'd be worth looking into.

Finally started on my Harley Wraith-lords:

nice. I sort of like the wraithlord heads though, the new ones at least. the old ones are sort of... boring. I am using an old zoanthrope head carapiece for the wraithlord I am converting.

I think I'd prefered a more menacing (less colours I guess) scheme (as they look really intimidating), but that's just my personal preference for harlequins

That's..... Interesting. I think that the heads make them much more Harlequin-ey as the normal wraithlord heads look great for all Eldar EXCEPT for Harlequins. A bit creepy, but it fits.

Well, if not hypnotized by the bright colours, your opponents might be scared of those masks.. Bright Colours + scary masks = Awesome

Seriously, the colors, mixed with the pieces of glass on the base, makes it look like a candy-clown.

Personally, I think you got carried away with the colors. I know Harlies are colorful, but they stick to a crazy color scheme for each one. This guy looks like 5 different Harlies wrapped up into one. But thats my taste, other then that, it is looking pretty good

I had thought of using tape or masking film. Im sure it would be awsome on panels (like rhino, large flats). I just dont think it lends itself to tiny rounds. I'll try it tho, got two more to do. Thanks.

On my regular troops, the scheme wont be this crazy. Feth, on my other WLs the scheme wont be this crazy! This one was my prototype, just wanted to see what I could do. May even go back and repaint him when Im done with the rest.

That tape is designed to lay out flames on cars if it can do that on a car it will have no problem with the shin armor.
