Preorder on steam is 10% off , and runs out in 3 days. So im wondering if its worth it, but i dont see too many threads on it

If it's for preorder on the PC, (and therefore not out yet...)there's probably a reason there's not been much talk.

But, from what I understand it plays like the actual Blood Bowl does. So if you like that, or want to understand that form of play--go for it.

If you like the turn based table top game you will love it more than likely. The real time is hit and miss. While somewhat popular here, I don't know if the following is quite as avid as it is over the pond where it got more coverage it seems. It also has been out for awhile in Europe so that may account for it to, not seeming new and all. I thought I just read something about Dark Elves just being added in recently. Hopefully the US version is the fully updated version. I wanted it for my 360 but may just go ahead and get the Steam version.

I've been playing it loads. I got it from Steam months and months ago.

The single player game is fun, but the AI of the computer is pretty naff. Still, it is fun to play, and I've heard there are better AIs you can download.

The main part of the game is multiplayer, obviously. I play in a league at www.ukbbl.co.uk and have enjoyed it a lot. It is a small community, but has a really good atmosphere. There are a lot of other leagues out there.

The open leagues are a bit hit-and-miss. I've gotten lucky in all of my games (only 5 or 6, compared to hundreds for some people). There are complaints about deliberate disconnects by people who are losing, but you can see people's reliability before you play them, so if they are under 85%, don't bother!! There is a new matchup system being introduced so you play against teams from a similar Team Value as you, and there are mixed opinions about it, but my ex-flatmate beta tested it and he thought it was good.

The game does have some connectivity issues, and you may have to play around with router/firewall settings a bit. Even then, you may not get 100% reliability on who you can connect to. Overall though, it has not ruined the experience for me.

Cyanide, as a software company, seem a little out of their depth. They are not particularly responsive to their customers. However, they seem to be getting a little better as time goes on. Maybe I have been spoiled by playing Bioware games like NWN which have had HUGE company after-support.

I would give Blood Bowl

9/10 for fun in multiplayer
7/10 for fun in single player
9/10 for lastability
6/10 for execution and support by Cyanide.

Then, if you have a console that it's on, get it for that. It'll cost a bit more--but you can always resell it.

It's really the best way to go in this day and age, at least legally.

Note: I refuse to condone piracy. I could care less if the game is overpriced or unavailable to you in a certain region. Deal with it. It doesn't make it "okay" to illegally download anything.

Maybe because I'm still trying to find a crack for it so I can try it before I buy it? I'm really interested in the game but with no demo I'm showing hesitance in getting it.

It's great. It was released in Europe months ago, and legally available to anyone willing to download it from an online retailer.

Yeah, I suspect console will be a better way to go, generally. If it comes out on PS3 (may have already?) I might buy it for that aswell, as long as I will be able to play in the same leagues.

Goign to say yes its a fun game to get even if you play single player. I'm being stubborn and playing solo to max out my team's levels. so far so good. My humans are all 6 or closing on it (4-5 Level 5's getting close to 6, some level 3's which are lines men and 2 Level 1's which are my subs which will eventually get leveled up).

Aye 100% played three games so far and its excellent, although I have to admit it wasn't till I was halfway through my second match I realised I had to pick which block dice I wanted when there was more than one.

How I managed a draw in the first game with all the turnovers I gave just pressing the button after the roll is beyond me.

But aye, really fun and with Dark Elves as a download soon, I'll be gone into Campaign heaven.

Dark Elves came out last week. They are hella fun, especially the Assassins and the Witch Elfs

Rugby...with Assassins...and Dwarves!
