Well, it's a very nice table, at least. Looks like we'll be getting an Ork-held territory that's being targeted by Imperial fast-assault regiments. A nice bit of difference from Vraks, and I hope we'd see some Ork buildings, bastions and defensive structures.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

Gathering the Informations.

Not just the Elysians though.

There's also a large contingent of Raven Guard 10th Company and a supporting force of 1st Company, it seems.

I've got my own little theory on how it'll play out, but either way--it looks like we'll get some fun.

Feels like I'm back on Angelis!

I love that table. When I get around to making more scenery, that's the direction I plan to take too, a thrown-tegether, scrapyard fort with all the trimmings. I dig it.

The original photo is from Warseer. Rehosting it on my photobucket so they don't get unnecessary bandwidth overload. Credit to Brimstone, Philbrad, and the photographer(whose name eludes me).

But yeah. Some sweet stuff listed. The Scouts vignette makes me happy.

I like the board

"And what are the achievements of your fragile Imperium? It is a corpse rotting slowly from within while maggots writhe in its belly. It was built with the toil of heroes and giants, and now it is inhabited by frightened weaklings to whom the glories of those times are half-forgotten legends."

I'm interested in the heavy lift Valkyrie. I do like the look of the new Elysian vehicle, has a sort of Mad Max feel to it.

Armies:
(CSM/HH) - Iron Warriors; Death Guard; World Eaters; Night Lords
IG - Vestfalian Expeditionary
Force (Solar Auxilia - HH)
SM - Blades of Inaros (Homebrew)
DE - Kabal of Ouroboros

...Because Mad Max is the only time you'll see roll bars on a FAV, right? It is cool yeah, but I dislike the constant comparison to some form of ramshackle vehicle. It makes sense for a lighter vehicle that can be air dropped to have a light-weight design. Look at the old SAS raider jeeps, the modern US FAVs, the stripped down Land Rovers, etc. They all have the same rough design and features shared.

But I digress...

From what I gathered from chatting up one of the FW staff when placing an order and from what I've seen elsewhere:

The heavy lift Valkyrie is designed to compliment the FAV. Valks can already transport Tarantulas, Sentinels, and Cyclopses, etc...with heavier fuel tanks involved. So, we can extrapolate from that the the Heavy Lift Valkyrie will be lightly armed, but devoted to either carrying multiple Sentinels or a single FAV.

Mad Max = Universally known. If I went on about other doodas most people would be like "wha?" So I keep it simple

Heavy Valk sounds neat. An investment is needed.

Pretty sure all the new Ork stuff will get its full rules in the next IA book, which is great as they've been needing a full IA-style update for a long time. The only army needing an IA update more is Eldar, though hopefully they'll show up in the next book.

Thanks muchly for this, Brook.

What really leaps out at me is the Storm Eagle Drop Ship, though... now, that would be interesting to see a model for.

We've seen one already. I don't know where the pic is (Whinesee might have it in their rumour round up sub-forum), but it's basically a giant Land Speeder with two Star Ship Trooper-esque troops bays. Weird thing.

Oh come on. They've never done an Ork book before, and we're already getting complaints that there's too much Ork-love? Honestly...

Well, I don't have much to add, but I do know that finalised rules for the Ork "Killa Krusha" will feature in the book.
Hmm, you probably already know this. Ah well.

Looking at those terrain pictures again, I can't help but notice that those buildings are built on Realm of Battle tiles.

Oh, you mean those things from Mad Max? The terrain looks great as usual, I'm actaully leaning towards picking this one up.

And so, due to rising costs of maintaining the Golden Throne, the Emperor's finest accountants spoke to the Demigurg. A deal was forged in blood and extensive paperwork for a sub-prime mortgage with a 5/1 ARM on the Imperial Palace. And lo, in the following years the housing market did tumble and the rate skyrocketed leaving the Emperor's coffers bare. A dark time has begun for the Imperium, the tithes can not keep up with the balloon payments and the Imperial Palace and its contents, including the Golden Throne, have fallen into foreclosure. With an impending auction on the horizon mankind holds its breath as it waits to see who will gain possession of the corpse-god and thus, the fate of humanity......

This is just the mock up to get a sense of proportions. It would be easy enough for them to change aspects of it. I don't think the look of it is bad, but the concept art for it was better; it had the cockpit all the way infront protruding ahead of the transport pods. My guess is that this is meant to be used for missions more clandestine and also a platform that Assault marines jump in off of.

I've heard the heavy lift valkyrie is apparently a conversion kit for the plastic valkyrie. That it will have an open rear, similar to the vulture, but with holding arms like the transport thunderhawk.

It's worth bearing in mind that the ork FW stuff has only really been rolled out once they had a new codex and their rules were established, so there would be minimal conflict between the FW and GW rules. The guard buck this a little bit, but note that FW are going round and updating their guard stuff so it's inline with the current guard codex.

....... .... so....it's...interesting..... that FW are currently working on rules for Tau battlesuits isn't it eh ?
