i'm not a fan. hopefully the heavy lift valk and the dunebuggy (or perhaps even this since its a WIP) will be cooler looking.

This is just the mock up to get a sense of proportions. It would be easy enough for them to change aspects of it. I don't think the look of it is bad, but the concept art for it was better; it had the cockpit all the way infront protruding ahead of the transport pods. My guess is that this is meant to be used for missions more clandestine and also a platform that Assault marines jump in off of.

I've heard the heavy lift valkyrie is apparently a conversion kit for the plastic valkyrie. That it will have an open rear, similar to the vulture, but with holding arms like the transport thunderhawk.

That pretty much is exactly what I've heard in regards to the HL Valk. I'm cool with that. Reminds me of photos from Vietnam when they'd hook Sheridans up to the bottom of Chinooks to bring 'em into combat.

The Storm Eagle though is a touchy subject. A lot of people complain that it doesn't look "aerodynamic" or that it looks incapable of being a combat aircraft.

Well of course not, it's not a combat aircraft. One of the FW staff hinted that it functions essentially like a boarding torpedo--steer it towards the targeted fortifications--bust 'em in going full speed, and bam. Release all your shock troops into the enemy to profit.

Sounds cool. The Dune Buggy thing itriges me. (Most complicated word I've ever posted on Dakka and a do believe I've spelt it wrong). Anyway, does anyone have any pics of the buggy. I heard they previewed it at Games Day.

The only photos of the Elysian FAV are WIP shots. I think I have one saved somewhere, I'll photobucket it in a bit.

Hell, never mind. I actually had saved a link directly to the guy who took the photo's photobucket account.
