Hey everybody. Just looked over the Black Library preview catalogue. Has alot of good extracts, from stuff like Dark Creed. The one which particularly stuck out to me was Rynn's World, which seemed amazingly written. Anyway, I flicked to the back page, which detailed some books which were to come out in the near future. To my delight, a new Honsou/Ventris book seems on the horizon! The next book in the Ultramarine/Iron Warriors series "The Chapter's Due" is (In the words of the Catalogue) "The Long awaited Clash between Uriel Ventris and Honsou! Hardback."
Discuss and speculate. I personally hope Honsou will smash Ventris to a pulp.

"And what are the achievements of your fragile Imperium? It is a corpse rotting slowly from within while maggots writhe in its belly. It was built with the toil of heroes and giants, and now it is inhabited by frightened weaklings to whom the glories of those times are half-forgotten legends."

Doubtful.

But I'm sure that Honsou will make good his escape.

Again.

Dont you wish they'd stop writing sequels. One of them should die preferably ventris who even many loyalists hate.

Sequels are okay up to a certain point. Just look at Gaunt's Ghosts, which was fun, up to a certain point.

I really liked Honsous role in Storm of Iron. However, they really killed his character in the UM book by making him look like an idiot.

As for the ghosts ... I can see how people arent a big fan of those "keep goin and goin and goin AND GOIN" series'. I still like to read em though.

I was really hoping for an actual Storm of Iron sequel though. Yanno, have the bad guys win again maybe?

Those who have not done so yet should read the Skull Harvest short story in the Heroes of the Space marines collection (old news, but I thought I'd reiterate the quality of it). It's a great Honsou bit, more Storm of Iron and less Ultramarines Panto Villain.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Skull harvest was a fun read, about the only good read in that otherwise drab anthology.

Personally I'd like to see BL do more than just vomit out their next series instalments. I'd like to see more one-off stuff like Necromancer, Lord of the Night and Cadian Blood. Less Cain, Gaunt and Gotrek & Felix already.

+1 except for the Cain remark. Plus Lord of the Night is simply begging for a sequel!! Best BL book ever, Sahaal is my hero. Anyone who passes out from pure rage alone deserves a cookie.

Ultramarine series is just dire except for the Iron Warrior moments. I can't remember which compilation it was from, but the short story about Honsou's renegades was awesome. Renegade Space Wolf getting his jaw ripped off by a possessed Ultramarine is just the tops.

I rather liked the Killing Grounds novel, it took some getting in to but in the end it was a great story, full of the usual BL bs about right and wrong, Uriel being a little saint, but other than that it was a good read. I really liked that one.

ahhhhhh I looked forever to find the book storm of iron with the origonal cover on it, just because of how much I loved honsou's character. I definately can not wait for this tough, and think it should be a quick and entertaining read.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Well, I for one hope that Uriel beats the snot out of honsou, his clone and Vaaaaaaaanes. Though, uriel will probably kill his clone in a huge duel then get bweaten by Honsou and almost die but Vaanes has a change of heart and seems to kill Honsou (who somehow survives). This would be horribly cliche, but not to bad.

Whatever happens I want the Space Marines to dish out some righteous punishment for the destruction of tarsis Ultra.

Come on now... The evil forces of disorder have had their fair share of big victories. If I were a betting man I would put my money on Uriel. Ventris has been through a lot and has substantially grown in the ways of the warrior. I would love to see the good captain finally slay his nemesis. Honsou is a very interesting character but he has no redeeming qualities.

I'm hoping for at best an escape on Honsou's part. Graham Mcneills built up Ventris too much to say HE DIES.. D:

I wouldnt mind Ventris winning, if it would happen to be due to actual superior tactics. As it is, his enemies tend to be thrown into disarray by sudden appearence of fatal idiocy or something along the lines. Im actually a fan of the UM but it just irks me when characters seem to be invincible and their enemies are dumbed down constantly. At least, thats how I feel.

I'm not suggesting any extreme usage of plot armour or something like that, I just like Ventris more as a character and want to see him win. Plus I don't like anything about chaos, to many spikes and too much ugly mutations for me.

Honsou is a lovely little sociopath, I liked him in Dead Sky, Black Sun where he really proved himself a capable leader and a cocky one at that.

Honsou fights dirty while Uriel is bound by honor. That said I have a feeling Ventris is quite capable of outsmarting the man.

Not rare at all in the Dark Angels(Sammael, Azrael, the old metal DA Sgt, the old metal RW Bike Sgt, and the unhelmeted plastic heads from the DA Vets kit all have hair) or the Space Wolves(show me a single bald Space Wolf model).

I'm talking vanilla marines, who all seem to be bald. I mean why can GW just make one or two heads with hair for the commanders and stuff and make them available without buying special packs.

Anyway, go Ventris

I predict in that book:

Ventris will kill Honsou.
The Nightbringer will kill Ventris.
The Emperor will do a little dance.

PROBABLY in that order.

When does chaos win anything let alone anything important?

CSM are like the bad guy in inspector gadget.

Always going on about next time. And the imperium wins all the damn time.

Imperium is WAAC + plot armor =INVINCIBLE

Tell me please when chaos marines win something..
