Here are pics from my 500pt. eldar army. I'm not finished, but I will post pics of my progress.
I'm working on my jetbikes now. Also the Avengers need their bases painted. On the bases after painting, I will add little bits of snow melting away and have a few patches of grass. I hope that works out well.

The jet bike got a little messed up when i was spraying it with sealant because there was black paint in the priming box that i didn't notice was still wet

. Also my scheme is my 2 favourite colours red and orange. The box in the background just has the based for my jetbikes, my super glue ans some other modeling tools. I guess i could bring my camera. But do you not have one?

Eldar mmm. even though im an eldar player i dont know to much about eldar even though i should. Its sad my friend knows more and he plays orks. I'll tell you what I can. They are a depleting race sort of since most of their race was wiped out by chaos or something. Then they have craftwrolds which are the differnet types of eldar like aliatoc, beil tan and lots of others. So they sorta fight for themselves so their race doesnt die. If you want to know more go the GW site.

-sigh- This joke has gone horribly wrong, my first attempt at a witty retort in quite a while as well, what I wanted was some fluff on the EDLAR (check thread title). But since I've ruined the punchline we'll ignore it...

Although an army story wouldn't go amiss.

Im doing my 500 point Eldar as well. Although still painting first squad.

Your bases for your mini's will be great. Anything to make your army stand out from other's is always a good thing.

Make sure you choose all your troops for your 500 points early. Go over your choices with friends. Then buy them and paint them. Very important.

If you don't use the normal Eldar colours then people expect you to make your own Eldar story and Eldar Craftworld name. Or don't, ha, whatever. My eldar are dark red and Cyan\white and I too have no fluff (fluff, funny word that one).

"Fluff" relates to an army background or your army story.

I thought up a name for my craftworld. Nye-Kundu. It's red in some other language, I forget what it was though

Actually the background is'n supposed to be a background, it's my painting area. When I'm all done my army I'm gonna make pics of them in a picture box.

any way the colors of your army and the box behind them work well together..heh....but yeah i like the colors its nice and flowing

It's raining elipses. I mean, no offense but you have like 20 periods up there. Probably more.
Anyways Jonah I agree with OoieGoie, you should really decide on your troops early on.
...indeed the "edlar" are a fearsome race.

Head over to lexicanum and have a look at Kaelor craftworld. The color scheme is very similar to yours, so if you don't feel like making up your own craftworld you can use a pre-existing one.

For a 500 point army, an Eldar army has a lot to choose from. Nearly every unit is specialized for a particular role. If you want to save money then choose your stuff early. SM for example are "all rounders". They do a bit of everything so it doesnt matter too much what you buy at the start for a 500 point.

If you don't choose your army before buying it, you may find that a unit\squad you have bought and painted are no longer required for your 500 point army. Yes, you could use them later when you up the points for your games but choosing your army first will save you a lot of time and get your army up and running quickly.

The first coat of orange on my jetbikes. I just wanted to post pictures since I haven't for a while. I just did this before I posted the pics.

I finished painting orange on the jetbikes and I also started the bases. The arm might not look like it fits in but when I'm done the base it will, I hope. Now I'm onto the red.

Hello i was creating a orange secondary color on my army and was wondering how you got that highlighting on the weapons platform?

First you need a lighter orange. Mix orange and white. Then apply the lighter paint to the edges or sides of the platform. There is a close up picture for you, so you can see it better.
