Am I the only person checking their website regularly?

I just can't wait, having had to sit through twilight that many times my wife knows the whole script I can't wait for a little slice of 40k movie goodness.

I just hope it turns out better than the Blood Angels film GW commissioned and then scrapped halfway through.

Also if you search youtube for inquisitor you can watch the only live action SM film made, it's in four parts and a lot of it was used in Epic Warhammer 40,000 - Final Liberation, if anybody remembers that far back.

I remember and I have been checking the website (on the mailing list too) waiting to play space marine on my ps3 atm cant wait to crush orks and nids in full HD

I'll wait until I see a trailer to decide whether or not I'm excited.

Not fair I had to sell my 360 and I got ripped off, never got all the money for it, thieving . So i'm not likely to be playing it for quite some time yet. I'll just have to console myself by playing 3rd edition space hulk and painting my new Blood Angels in April.

I wonder if they will make any more if this one is a success?

I know I am excited for this movie. It most likely wont live up to the expectations of most of the extremely hardcore people who rather than simply enjoy it will pick apart every inaccuracy, but I do not give a damn because I am not them.

I am definitely with warpcrafter on this. An all CGI movie is the only way this will work which is great but i worry that it will be poorly done. This and if it does well i also worry about the nitwits that will start gaming. Dont get me wrong i like teaching new people to play and playing different people BUT you usually get TFG once in a while. So the more people that start playing the more douchebags you will also have playing.

I too cant wait. I think its going to just frigging awesome (even though its Ultra marines, but hey its a SM movie who cares!) I check on the site ALOT. As soon as they start selling it, Im ordering a copy lol

Warhammer online was a let down hopefully these won't follow it.

I too am excited, but it's hard to tell if it will be up to standards. I just hope it's a good as Damnatus.

I think it should be awesome and if it isnt like super awesome special effects the story is shore to be great Dan Abnett is writing it.

While I would love to see a great movie based on 40k, here is my prediction: it's going to be utter crap.

If DA's writing it then of course it should be good or the wording side of it... problems trying to find voice actors (believe it is meant to be animated), I mean how many people have a space marine voice, they cant just be regular actors, they need really skilled people to pull it off

I remember Bloodquest, and several years worth of nothing much happening, a couple of teasers, and then the whole project going belly-up.

So no, I'm not excited about this one. I'll save that for if it actually makes it to release.

I am also skeptical. I will pick it up because hell, it's something to watch. I've seen bad movies, and this has to be REAL bad for me to dislike it.

I don't know if it will be a good idea or a bad one. Is it CGI? If its all on computers could be pretty cool. I want to see the trailer before I comment.

They will be using Face Capture for facial expressions(anyone see Polar Express?) so that should be awsome.

The Concept art they sent out in Newsletter No.3 looked pretty cool.

It probably won't be as awsome as we the Hardcore diehards would like, but Smurf fans and first timers should enjoy it.

Even if its terrible i will still buy it. Would like a trailer though

Brian Blessed did some of the voice acting on fire warrior along with Sean Pertwee, and they were both pretty good, so GW have got a history of getting some good voice actors on board their projects.

Not sure if this movie makes any sense, possibly in UK where 40k is more popular than elsewhere.

Since it will be a direct to DVD release it will be avaliable wherever Amazon.com is acessable so anyone will be able to buy it. and it will be avaliable from GW direct I imagine

A smart move since it will make money if people love it and won't lose much if it flops.

GW has money to burn on pet projects and once shot a Movie on DVD is cheap and easy to reproduce so a cost/supply factor will be negligable and there will be people buying it for years in small quantities.


Those familiar with 40k will buy it and there is enough of us to make it pay for itself.
