YEa I just read the email with that in it too. Some of those guys are pretty damn good actors. The only annoying thing so far is "CLICK HERE TO WATCH CLIP!" and it was literally a friggin clip. Yea a SM shouting AND THEY SHALL KNOW NO FEAR!

John Hurt? I'm impressed. Still equal parts disappointed and surprised that Ron Perlman is in no way involved. I just had a hunch he'd be in it is all. Looking forward to this more than ever.
Well, well, well all you nay-sayers out there. It seems like GW are really putting their proverbial cocks on the block and laying down some real cash on this is they have attracted quite a line up.
Of course it still relys on the script but it sure shows willing.
All of these actors have great pedigree [not heard of Mr Harris though?] and i'm really hoping that it all comes together. I particularly want to see Donald sumpter do hes thing, always a good watch. I really thought he was really quite creepy in Being Human.
All they need it Malcom Mcdowell and they will have a full house!

Sean Pertwee has some previous history with GW voiceovers. He played Governor Severus in the Fire Warrior Playstation Game.
EDIT - Game also had voices from Burt Kwuok, Tom Baker and Simon Pegg's mate who did the voice of Darth Maul (I remember his name, I just can't be arsed to type it).

Sean Pertwee was in Killzone 2 and Fable, so I guess hes alright.
And John Hurt is in the new Harry Potter, so we will see about him.
EDIT: Look at more videos with John Hurt. He was in Spaceballs AND Tron Legacy. Hes cool.
And a little sci-fi movie called Alien. You may have heard of it.

Oh, FFS...
I'm glad they're getting British actors to do the voices - some of the accents on DoW were appalling. Either get the American actors to do American accents, or get Brits to do British accents - but Americans doing British accents?
Considering how much of an impact 1984 has had on all sci-fi since it was written and the movie was iconic you would think more people would know who John Hurt is.
I think the voice cast is looking pretty excellent at this point.
...You don't understand how motion capture works, I think.
They set it up so that they get a feeling for how the bodies move, naturally. They can then use that information to scale it up or down, as necessary. Take note of the Cave Trolls from Fellowship of the Ring--those were down by a guy in a motion capture suit doing exaggerated ape-like gait. Then it was scaled up and rendered.
Voila! Instant Cave Troll with natural movements, rather than the jerkiness of stop-motion or models.
A quick reference to brother srm I am glad that Ron Perlman is not included, his performance to certain roles is either really charismatic or doesn't give a gak. I hate having a random element to something good it can go both ways.
All seems like good news to me. I just wish Sean Pertwee could reprise his role from Dog Soldiers.
Can I suggest skipping forward 10 years to the age where you don't really care about what people say on the internet. Studies show that it decreases your anger about life in general by 37%. - Flashman
