Hey everyone,
the project logs on this site have always been inspiring. So I thought I should put in my two cents as well.

I'll start with pictures of what is done, after that I'll keep updating, usually once a week.

First up the Witch Hunters:

This army was painted over the course of several years, adding units once in a while. The latest addition is a Culexus assassin, basic paint job.

Next up will be my Orcs and Goblins.

cheers

Thanks Legoburner!

next up are my Orcs and Goblins. This was the first army I actually played 12 years ago. The paintjob is fairly recent, I think I started repainting them two years ago. Since then I have been adding units. Currently working on some more night goblins.

And the latest WIP is a big unit Night gobbos. Mix of new and some of my old night gobbos

Next up will be pictures of my Death guard army, combined with a lot of daemon units.

have a nice day!
Tim

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Next in the army showcase are my Death Guard with a lot of daemons. Same story as before. I started this army a couple of years ago, and have slowly been adding units.

These are the latest WIP pics for this army, an old herald I found in the bit box somewhere and the new forgeworld soulgrinder.

Next up will be one of my latest projects: vampire counts!

have a nice day
Tim

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Here is the vampire count army as it stands. Hopefully I'll get some black knights finished in a few weeks.

latest additions are some more wraiths and a feral vampire

There you go, next up will be space orks, one of the newer projects I have been dabbling with.

cheers
Tim

Automatically Appended Next Post:
This is still a small army, but since no one in my group plays with space orks, I see it as my job to bring some more Waaagh on the battlefield.

Next up will be renegade guard and some Hakanor Reavers.
cheers
Tim

Where do you get all the money to buy all those lovely minis? And where the heck do you get all that time needed to paint them? I love your work

All very impressive work you have here. However, the ones that stand out to me are the Gunmetal SoB, because it's not a common color scheme for them, and the Hakanor's Reavers, because I see precious few of them anywhere.

I look forward to seeing how you do with the Forgeworld Soulgrinder.

super awesome stuff... really likin the orks and inquisition stuff...
and the reavers, thats one of my favorite schemes...
i know it probably takes you forever as is, but the reaver armor might get more of a 'hot and glowey' effect if there was a duller red//orange around the lava cracks in the armor, but they look awesome anyway...
sweet stuff, i wanna see more

Wow thanks a lot guys, that is just too much praise, I'll promise to add a lot more. Just got back from a sale in the local store and I picked up some nice goodies.

@Krusty: I know, I'm not happy with the reavers as they are yet. I was thinking that instead of black I should use a real dark red as base color? And maybe draw the lines a bit more straight to get a more cracked effect?

again thanks for the comments guys

Tim,

You have an amazing collection! Do you actually get them out to play every once in a while?

I think you may have shamed me into finally taking some pics of my O&G and mid-war German panzer kompanie. I sometimes forget that Dakka is more than just 40K.

The secret to painting a really big army is to keep at it. You can't reach your destination if you never take any steps.

hey guys,

again thanks for all the praise, and don't despair , there is even more comming up soon.

@ JB: yes I take them out for a walk once in a while. On average I play at least one game a week. Last game was yesterday evening. We played the scenario from the latest White Dwarf, I think it's 'Duel' . He played High Elves and I Vampire Counts. Great scenario btw.
His high elf hero was no match for my vampire. My vampire had, flayed hauberk and gem of blood with the infinite hatred and beguile power. So the game started in my advantage as I won the duel , but it was really close in the end. Those phoenix guard were really tough to beat.

Next time I'll take pictures and make a small battle report.

cheers

The ruins of the Palace of Thorns

Everything there is awesome!

The only thing I would like to see is some slight brown and black shading on the weapons of the ghosts (or whatever they are, I do not play WFB really.) I love the effect and would paint them in the same way too, but the weapons just look unfinished rather than ghostly.

I love the Nurgle walker (Defiler? I am not up on my Chaos lingo)...

Though guards may sleep and ships may lay at anchor, our foes know full well that big guns never tire.

Hey everyone,

thanks Fifty. I see what you mean about the weapons in the wraiths, but I kinda have a policy that I don't repaint models. Because I could improve myself forever. And I really like to do that on new models. Glad you like the armies!

so I have been very busy lately, but between graduating and buying a house I have managed to finish the night goblins I was painting. The renegade sentinel is also very near to completion so it well be up soon.
It is a mix of old and new models:

Next WIP are the fanatics to go with the unit. One of them is a real oldie. Found it in the bit box, just had to add a ball.

Have a nice day, and hopefully I'll be back soon with more pics!

Hey everyone,

the renegade armored sentinel is sort of done. I guess there is a bit more detail work to do. But for now it is finished , I have the urge to start on other models so...
Really nice kit from GW. I'm a big fan of plasma weapons so that's the reason the model is fitted with a plasma cannon. I also used brass etch from FW. Really nice stuff to work with. For the rest I tried to keep the model simple, and in line with the other models.

have a nice evening, new wip will be up some other time.

I have a reputation, Modile, a reputation as a fair, honest man who treats his soldiers well and supports them in the face of darkness. Potentially, that reputation makes me soft. It seems I understand failure and forgive it. Some, like Kowle, believe me to be a weak commissar, not prepared to take the action my rank demands. Not prepared to enforce field discipline where I see it failing. I am an Imperial commissar. I will enflame the weak, support the wavering, guide the lost. I will be all things to all men who need me. But I will also punish without hesitation the weak, the incompetent, and the treasonous.

hey everyone, thanks for the nice comments, I promise in time there will be some more army shots. Hopefully with bigger armies.

Next up will be a Chimera for my inquisitorial stormtroopers. This tank has been sitting on my desk for too long ( about 4 years) . I hate painting chimeras. Still this is the last one. There is some paint on it allready, now it is time to finish it.
Standard color scheme from way back.

There you go, hopefully it will be painted soon.

Today I finished the fanatics for the second regiment night goblins. All the Night goblins are started to look like an army by itself. I took some shots of that as well. I really like the idea of an all night goblin army.

Next up will be some more squig hoppers so I can field two units or a big one

until next time!

Thanks Nalyd!

Here are four more squig hoppers I finished a couple days ago.
Squig Hoppers always work for me on the battlefield. So I'm really happy I can field two units from now on.

I've also started to clear out some bit boxes. In the first one I found some bats. I painted these up for warhammer quest, I also found some more critters, a pump wagon, sisters of sigmar, another hero on giant squig and Grimgor Ironhide with a command group.

new wip:

have a nice week!
cheers Tim
