I'm still a big Halo fan, and together with a friend even started a clan for H3 and Reach a few weeks ago. We even have a forum (with a somewhat odd 40k-based name). Should you be interested in joining, send an e-mail and ask for the URL.
Which Halo games do you guys have?

All of them, and all novels. I'm not a big fan, and don't really play it anymore (cept halo wars, busy getting some achievements :3). Can't wait for reach though.

I only actually own Halo PC and Halo 3. I'll be saving up to grab a collector's edition of Reach for sure. I've got most of the novels (still haven't read Evolutions or The Cole Protocol), and it's definitely my favourite FPS series.

All except the first which I sold back when I upgraded to a 360, and all the books. So I love any an all Hall media. (Only some of the Halo Legends series some were just too anime for me.)

Yeah, Halo Legends wasn't as legendary as I'd initially thought. But the novels are nice. At the moment I'm reading Contact Harvest, and as soon as I find Ghosts of Onyx and such, I'll buy them.

I just bought Halo ODST, and love it. I don`t get all the hatin`. BTW, i tried firefight, and got to last wave level 3. So close

Huge Halo fan here. I've read all the books (except Legends) and played all the games. I'm totally pumped for Reach, although, I'll have to see some pretty good explanations for why their are gonna be SPARTAN-IIIs, a rotor-operated gunship, and MJORLNIR variants that were conveniently never mentioned previously. I don't mind a retcon here and there, but I can't help but feel like this is a stretch.

Also, I'm severely bummed that for all the SPARTANS running around in the game, there's supposedly going to be no tactical squad controls. Not even a simple D-Pad Left for go/shoot there and D-Pad Right for Rally/Hold Fire.

Hmm. Watched 'The Duel' last night. Cool take on the Sangheili if you ask me, although I was a bit perplexed by their mouths. It's hard to see if the Arbiter's wife actually has four mandibles because you only see the lower half of her jaw moving.

Bought the DVD at my FLGS yesterday. I watched 'The Package' as well. Loved the animation, but John sounded like he had throat cancer or something.

The only thing that really seemed wrong with 'The Duel' was the revelation that female Elites have hair. It's not unrealistic, but it just seems so odd.

I wouldn't fixate on it too much; it's hardly the definitive guide to female elites. They had to compromise on the design somewhat in order to make a character that audiences could empathise with, rather than one that looked like a hideous space alien. Remember that Legends was meant to be something that people outside the fan community could enjoy as well.

That does not, in any way, make Japanese tradition with Elites acceptable.

I can't say I'm a huge fan of the games (They really get repetitive fast, except for Halo Wars which was pretty damn good) but the novels are fantastic. Haven't gotten around to Evolutions yet, but I've read all the others - even the Flood. Contact Harvest and First Strike are both absolutely epic near the end.
