Personally, I'm gonna go with Imperial Guard.

Tyranids, Necrons, Dark Eldar and anything else I forgot currently aren't thought to be playable, and so haven't been included in the poll.

i'm doing like a dual vote here, Imperial Guard, under the assumption that i might be able to rise to the rank of Kasrkin/stormtrooper/Commissar. or Imperium, under the assumption that i might be an inquisitor

Did you guys know Canada has a friggin desert?

Imperial guard sounds like some sort of underdog or if im correct would be a certain class for summoning minions. sort of like COX's mastermind class. course that is a shot in the dark

You're not playing the game like I play it...why aren't you playing the game like I play it?! O_O

I creamed my knickers when I saw the trailer, and I voted for guard as well. Hopefully there will be some sort of Adeptus Mechanicus faction you can play as.

Also I hope they don't go the ol' Warhammer Online route with unlikely race-alliances (like the orcs and dark elves/ chaos)

I wanna be a Khorne Berserker, I assume they're playable considering they were in the trailer.

If not then i'll go Space Marienz!

Everywhere I'm not supposed to be.

I'll probably start guard...and then traitor guard...then ork so I can smash things just for the sake of smashing things.

If you need me, I'll be busy wiping the layers of dust off my dice.

Whatever winds up having the best support characters. I've always like playing healers and buffers more than anything else in MMOs, debuffing is okay sometimes too I guess.

If there are no good support characters, whatever is the hardest to kill. Next to playing support being durable is my favorite thing.

Do we actually know what races are playable, or is this still just speculation based off of the trailer?

I believe the only ones that are solidly locked for playable are at the moment:

Chaos Marines

IG
Eldar
Orks

Based on the Dark Millennium interview I conducted at E3 (http://www.belloflostsouls.net/2010/06/e3-thq-dark-millennium-interview.html) I don't think Eldar are going to be a playable race. I specifically asked about them and all signs point to no right now. Chaos Marines, Space Marines, Grey Knights/Inquisitors, Imperial Guardsman, and Orks all look like the starting races right now. That sounds rather lopsided, but right now it feels right in terms of what we've seen and what I heard.

Lopsided in terms of aliens-to-human. I'm not saying make Tau and 'Crons playable, and I get Tyranids will serve as a 'generic' bad guy for the various worlds you're on - but not Eldar? They're pretty core to 40K, moreso than GKs and the Inquisition. They should be there.

GK's and inquisition would be stupid if playable imo... You'll have thousands of them running around a single system...

And I want my hybrid classes :3

I voted for Eldar as I suspect that Ad Mech would be unlikely or at most just more guard.

I get the hunch that Grey Knights will be part of the Marine faction, and Inquisition as part of the Guard.

Doesn't make sense to have them as their own faction, in my opinion.

The lack of votes for Space Marines makes me happy.

I went Imperial Guard. They'll just always be #1 in my heart. I've had enough of Space Marines over the course of 2 DoW games + expansions to last me a lifetime. Plus, they're getting their own action game. If I want Marines, I'll play Space Marine.

How can JRPG's stay alive with nowhere to expand and develop?

They stay alive because Japanese people love seeing a rainbow's assortment of hair colours, people with animal ears, wings, or tails, clothes that even a blind guy wouldn't wear, and cookie-cutter angsty teenage-hero characters that all have some life-shattering unique, heartfelt sad soppy story.

Likewise, many people in the West are slowed to some degree, and they think that the storylines and characters are actually of a decent quality. Generally, these people are in the 12-16 bracket and/or are the same crowd that think the Twilight movies are the best films ever produced/books ever written.
