I'd say they're "heroic". Take a look at the picture on the round warmachine style 30mm base:

They are not as "heroic" as 40K plastic figures.

Definitely. I see what you mean now.

I just painted up some of Heresy's blights (plaguebearer type figures) and they are huge. But their weapons and fingers aren' as big as the GW ones.

Heresy stuff is more realistically proportioned than GW plastics, but I find you can use both together unless you're really sensitive about differences like that.

Same thing with the Hasslefree figures.

It is the proportions of the body parts rather than the height.

I have a bunch of figs from both companies, they are nice for modern/SF civilians for all sorts of games.

I'm sorry but those minis are 'Doctor Hugh', certainly NOT the copyright-protected Doctor Who!

Black Tree had pretty much the entire stable of Doctors up to the start of the 'new' series' in their Doctor Who range. A lot of them weren't very good, though.

Black Tree Design do three different Tom Baker Whos, plus all the other Doctors until the revived TV series.
