So tell me Dakkites, What's been your greatest achievement in your life?

Mine has to be the fact I have been to Parliament 3 times, met Gordon brown, I also Gave a speech about video games and the fact they receive unfair publicity.

Dang, that's incredible.

1. Ran a Marathon in under 4 hours. I had to hobble the last 5 miles due to knee injury.
2. I passed the Texas Bar Exam on the first try. It was a 3 month of nightmare followed by an examination that lasted 3 days.

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

Not really all that big an achievement in the view of the universe (or indeed my life), but I was happy with scoring 100% on one of my maths modules at A-level.

Was a few years ago now though

Scored a 30 on my ACT (From what I understand, it's basically a college placement test for the Midwest/West United States). Max score is 36. Got to skip taking my school's entrance exam because of it.

Gaming achievement, I would say getting a gold trophy in Plants vs. Zombies without cheating. Some of the mini-games took me for-fething-ever to finish, though.

Nothing. I've never done anything worth being proud of.
Oh wait, yes I have. I beat Metroid Zero Mission well below the best achievement (which is 1 hour 30 minutes), 56 minutes. Very proud of myself. I've also played and beaten every single metroid game except super metroid (I've played it, but emulators never work right, so I just gave up, otherwise, it would be beaten by now.)

Predicted the outbreak of a major plant disease in a place no one was looking for it, an international congress in front of several hundred scientists & government types 10 minutes before the announcement was made that they'd found it where I suggested (which I did not know about before-hand). That was pretty much my "15 minutes of fame" for my life... but it was a damn good 15 minutes. Been all down hill since then.

Sorry, but what kind of plant disease? I predicted "plant-aides" a couple years ago, but people are only recently finding it. So much for a degree in "I took biology and health, so I know about plant sex".

Nothing spectacular... scientists are a weedy bunch that get off on all kinds of minutia no one else cares about. It's called sudden oak death... everyone was having fits trying to figure out how it was spreading and I was just far enough removed from the situation to look at all the clues and put them into a logical order. I just happened to be lucky enough to have the presentation before they made the big announcement so it looked like I miraculously predicted the event. I'll take credit for a decent logic string & having the nuts to speak my mind... but the rest was really just luck. I did have a good weekend though... nothing like instant credibility to make for interesting social interactions.

I walked a red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival wearing ripped up jeans and a sleeveless Tshirt that had "will be president for food" scrawled on it in sharpie marker. Paparazzi are so fun. That same day I handroled a cigarette for Kevin Bacon in an elevator, and that night played 'do you want to sit on my face' at Paris Hilton's MTV beach party. I ate lobster and steak and drank the entire mini-bar at the hotel... didn't pay a dime for any of it... then went to paris via train the next week and pretended life was normal again (in Paris?). Then I got flown to England to drink all my uncle's booze and party with him... then back to Milan to finish the recording... then finally... home... NYC... trying to make sense of the previous weeks events. Probably my greatest crazy rockstar moment so far was mooning the paparazzi. I doubt if it will ever get as good as that again.

32 on ACT, also told mensa to feth themselves woot heldrendze! drunk puked in a mason lodge i didnt belong in... why are all my achievements only when i'm wasted...?

best one I can think of so far... I sat with my buddy throwing beercans at the side of the portland police station trying to get their attention so they would take us to the drunk tank for a roof out of the rain and some free soup. It actually took quite a while, like an hour or so to get their attention and the cops only took phil... bummer...

Great an achievement it may be, if I could get the time I spent on that little thing back I'd do it, 2 month's down the drain...
