What's your favorite movie moment?????
I watched Watchmen for the first time last night, the film was pretty good as a whole but I loved the opening montage set to Bob Dylan's The Time's they are a' Changin, Emotional, hard-hitting, brilliant... I was speechless...
One movie moment that I've enjoyed a lot lately is the final charge on Little Round Top from Gettysburg:
Personally, the best part is when Jeff Daniels says "we'll have the advantage of moving down the hill", almost as much to convince himself as his officers.

The entire scene in Jaws of the three men, Brody, Quint and Hooper around the table, firstly getting drunk, then recounting scars and so on, then the chilling and frankly amazing recounting of the Indianapolis sinking and then the singsong, beautifully interrupted by the boat finally getting rammed by that monster shark.
It's as close to perfect as I can think of in a film.

Ninja'd.
I 100% agree with you MGS,that scene is absolutely fantastic.

In the Fellowship of the Ring, when Aragorn cuts off Lurtz' head. The whole theater erupted like it was the superbowl and the beloved underdog just scored the game-winning hail-mary touchdown.
"Ive...seen things you people wouldnt believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. Ive seen C-Beams glitter in the darkness near Tenhauser Gate. All those moments...will be lost...in time. Like...tears...in the rain. Time to die."
Fave movie ever.
"They invade our space...and we fall back. They assimilate entire worlds...and we fall back. Not again. The line must be drawn here! This far, no further! And I will make them PAY for what they've done!"
It's really hard for me to pick just one favorite movie scene because I like too many movies, but if I had to pick just one, it would be this one:
Followed by this one:
Solve a man's problem with violence and help him for a day. Teach a man how to solve his problems with violence, help him for a lifetime - Belkar Bitterleaf
Hmmm. Don't know really. I like the Braveheart "Freedom" Speech, I like the part in Saving Private Ryan how he refuses to leave the people who he now knows as his brothers. I guess I'd agree with pretty much everything put up.
my favourite is the part on armorgeddon where the president is giving the speech ^^

The real reason Obi-wan said there was a "disturbance in the force" was that was the very moment Shas'o vera was born. it was so awsome and terrible it could be felt through time and across the dimensions.
"Millions of voices cried out in Terror, and were suddenly silenced"
My favorite movie moment is Independance Day, where Will Smith crashes near the grand canyon:
"How you like that!? How you like that!? Just wait until I get another plane, then I'll line all your buddies up, RIGHT NEXT TO YOU!" *Opens the cockpit of the alien fighter, Punches alien in the face* "Welcome to Earth...... Now that's what I call a close encounter."
I've never feared Death or Dying. I've only feared never Trying.
The last battle in Seven Samurai. It's pouring with rain, everyone is shattered and knee deep in mud, but samurai, bandit and peasant are locked together in one last do or die fight.
Total Film had a feature on just this subject today actually. My favourite from their list was Han Solo's attempt to explain away the detention bay fight to the officer on the other end of the radio "Er... we had a slight weapons malfunction, but we're all fine now... how are you?" before losing patience and blasting the mic "Boring conversation anway. LUKE, WE'RE GOING TO HAVE COMPANY!"
Princess Leia's line a few minutes later is also a favourite of mine... "This is some rescue, you came all the way down here and you didn't have a plan for getting out?!"

Countless ones from The Princess Bride but I'll go for, "I'm not left handed either."
For those who haven't seen this genius scene, Inigo Montoya is instruted to dispatch The Man In Black. He insists that he fight left handed on the grounds that otherwise it will be over too quickly and it won't be a satisfactory duel. However, he quickly discovers that he is slightly outclassed by his opponent (who eagle eyed viewers will note is also fighting with his left) and switches to his right hand to er... gain the upper hand. Soon The Man In Black appears beaten, but then he utters the immortal words...

My Fave movie scenes....wow.... so many to choose from.
The end of Casablanca, not the classic speech, just after that. Bogart's Rick shoots the german officer and Rene, the police chief, tells his men to "round up the usual suspects".
The Magnificent Seven, James Coburn shoots the bandit riding away. The kid gushes about how it was the greatest shot. Coburn tells him it was the worst.."I was aiming for the horse."
Probably the best though is the end of Some like it Hot...
Jack Lemmon's character is trying to explain why he cannot marry the rich guy leading to Lemmon's line "Cause I'm a MAN!" to which the rich guy deadpans, "Nobody's perfect."

Of all the races of the universe the Squats have the longest memories and the shortest tempers. They are uncouth, unpredictably violent, and frequently drunk. Overall, I'm glad they're on our side!
Office of Naval Intelligence Research discovers 3 out of 4 sailors make up 75% of U.S. Navy.
"Madness is like gravity... All you need is a little push."
Ok, last one I promise. The interrogation in scene in Zodiac. Many people grumble that Zodiac is a film that drags on to no real conclusion. The closest Fincher gets is to point the finger firmly in Arthur Leigh Allen's direction based on circumstantial evidence gathered by Robert Graysmith for his book. The purpose of the informal interrogation scene (which allegedly took place as you see it) is to put all that evidence to the viewer and challenges you not to believe that Allen is the man the police are after. John Carroll Lynch actually does Allen (now dead) something of a service by playing it ambiguous. It looks like everything's there, but frustratingly for the audience, it just isn't quite enough.

I was sitting here trying to think of one, and you go and remind me of The Usual Suspects! Great film - the best moment has to be when it all clicks into place at the end.
Also, American Beauty has LOADS of awesome moments - me and my friends spent a whole summer watching that film stoned over and over, quoting lines at each other constantly.
Highlights include:
'For you Brad, I've got 5!'
You don't get to tell me what to do, ever again...'
'1970 Pontiac Firebird. The car I've always wanted and now I have it. I rule! '
'It's OK, I wouldn't remember me either.'
'There happens to be a lot about me that you don't know, Mr. Smarty Man.'

I liked that movie quite a bit, but I do feel it's too long and I was disappointed with the ending.
loved by thousands, hated by millions! Haterz gon hate! Bwahahaha
I'm definitely one of the thousands who love this film,I could barely watch the remake...it just wasn't as good to me with out the "Innocent civilian points system".
Automatically Appended Next Post: Also, since the OP seems to enjoy "pelvic thrust",this movie moment is a must for the thread.

My fav hands down is the ending scene in the movie Unforgiven. Not only because the movie strides to be at least somewhat realistic, as far as 1 man cant kill a whole town or draw a gun faster then lighting and hit bang on. But the ending is just awesome to me. Not to mention Clint Eastwood looks scary as hell.
