has anyone seen the new forgeworld astartes pre-heresy armour and weapons they are some of the coolest things forgeworld have done in my opinion

this plastic helmet looks promising for a new greyknights army maby GW are hinting at something

They are the best thing GW/FW has done!

That heads been around for years, in the command squad box. I doubt it's a hint.

they are awsome for doing a realy unique army those chain saw bayonetts kick ass

damn i really want them to redo greyknights aswell my army is crap because it cant cope with the 5th edition armies i get really excited at the merest hint of a grey knights redo

one of the staff at my local GW said that they mightbe doing them soon but i dont believe him because the keep shtum about everything

this cestus assault ram is ace too gives me an idea for a really long winded way to play battle fleet gothic

As I said in another thread about this. I like the Iron Armour. If I ever do a space marine force and can afford it I would have an army in that.

Thats cool. I prefer my forces to have a unifying style. With unit leaders and characters standing out for contrast. But in such an elite army storyline I can see why you might aim for that.

I like the set with the beakie heads. The other ones are kind of meh...

i think the phobos pattern bolt guns are the best and the MK-V armour thats the ones covered in studds

what is that gun the thunder warrior is carrying looks like an autogun plasma gun cross that isnt a combi weapon

These are great - my Mk III models arrived yesterday, just getting them glued together now...

Gone for all the helmets fixed facing forwards as according to the article I found in an old WD, all marks before Mk IV had fixed helmets

by the looks of it I think it may be a very old pattern of the plasma gun or bolter

if its a bolter it doesnt need that plasma cooling section at the back and if its a plasma gun it dont need a mag maby it fire bolt rounds coverd in plasma

Looks like my Armor through the Ages upgrades. my older brother works in the MD warehouse, so i have to pay double for all my stuff!! but seriously just like armor through the ages.

That model is ancient. Just pretend it's a boltgun and be on your way. It's not so much old Imperial tech as it is old Citadel sculpts before they tried to keep things consistent.

I love the plate armour its awesome as, I plan to make a sternguard squad out of the studded armour (forgot its name), its totally awesome, and along with the forge world heresy bolters with box clips, they are gunna look awesome sauce.

I think my problem with playing space marines is I cant help loading up on ALL the crazy expensive winsauce stuff like vanguard veterans and 20 terminators (friendly games) and can never take a GOOD army. I outkit everything :(

You have no idea what you're talking about. These were just one-off models.

There were two of each model style made. The MKII, III, IV and V had a one peice version and an armless version. When these came out the the MK VII was their mainstay model for marines and the sprues for arms and bolters had been out for a couple of years.

As far as the Forgeworld models. I'm always amazed at how Jes Goodwin keeps GW alive. I wonder why he's not given credit in the descriptions at Forgeworld?

The mark 6 marines and the old style boltgun are ace, I can see me buying some of those to go with my RT era marines.
