These would be really cool for sternguard/vanguard veterans, to give them that extra pop.

What other special weapons are there going to be? There's the ML, flamer and melta at the moment, are there more in the pipeline?

These are pretty much the first Marines that I like better than anything Jes Goodwin has designed (which has been nearly the entire Marine line).

Great stuff all in all.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

I agree,i will hopefully build up to a squad or two of mixed armours and maybe use two full squads of Mk V ( Heresy Armour ) to use as my Sternguard.

Now you're just teasing me. Ordered some LR doors yesterday so with any luck I'll get one of these mysterious leaflets.

I'm going to use these sets for tactical squads in my IF force, two different armour sets per squad (picking the ones that look similar and mixing them up) and possibly some extra beaky marines because they're so damn brilliant. That picture seems to suggest (unless it's using extra bits) that there'll be some CC weapons or at least options for a Sgt.

Think the pictures are using extra plastic bits, I'm afraid...

i think its just the models. you have to buy the weapons separate, forge world love doing that

I love the look of MkVI Corvus armor (beaky and studs) and MkIII Iron armor (awesome helmet), it really gives the squad a 'history' as such, and makes them unique.

Hang on a minute then, excuse my stupidity but what are the new releases hinted at in this leaflet?

I'm aware of the 4/5 new sets of armour plus the weapons packs (3 different types of bolter and a special weapon pack). Are there more in the pipeline?

What I got with my order was a 2010 catalogue and a "summer update", which didn't show any of the new armour/weapons we know about, let alone any new ones

Here's a pic of my first 2 assembled Mk III Sternguard:

Then I can line them all up! In dynamic poses with different weaponry and much higher quality! TAKE THAT YOU OLD COLLECTOR ITEM

what is that gun the thunder warrior is carrying looks like an autogun plasma gun cross that isnt a combi weapon

That model is ancient. Just pretend it's a boltgun and be on your way. It's not so much old Imperial tech as it is old Citadel sculpts before they tried to keep things consistent.

You have no idea what you're talking about. These were just one-off models.

There were two of each model style made. The MKII, III, IV and V had a one peice version and an armless version. When these came out the the MK VII was their mainstay model for marines and the sprues for arms and bolters had been out for a couple of years.

As far as the Forgeworld models. I'm always amazed at how Jes Goodwin keeps GW alive. I wonder why he's not given credit in the descriptions at Forgeworld?

what? i dont know what you mean i know they are just one off models did you think i thought that this is how the space marine models developed or somthing? that you could buy an army of thunder warroirs?

That option hasn't appeared for a while now, certainly not on my last couple of orders.
