Haven't seen one of these in a while, so I thought I'd raise up the old question, who really needs a new model, stat.

Removing Dark Eldar from the equation, as believe the rumours or no, talk is we are about to see all sorts of Dark Eldar goodness on the horizon. So ignoring them, and looking back at the remaining 40K and Warhammer ranges, who is really needing an update.

Which fig is so long in the tooth, your wallet would actually attack you from going to buy one from the local GW because you can remember when they where half that price.

For me I'll have to raise exhibit A.

It's RRP is how much!

Thank the heavens for Forgeworld, otherwise we CSM players would truly be stuffed. To top it off, Marine players have had not one, but two Plastic kits over the years, and both kits have been updated once as well.

Isn't it about time we got a CSM Dread in plastic.

Anyone able to think of a more deserving figure for an update?

If it's CSM then what about Abaddon? It was a nice model for its day, but now it's crude and undersized.

Oh it can be anything, I just raised the CSM dread as it's a personal bugbear.

Abaddon is another fine example though, I'd also side with the Greater Daemons, they are all starting to look a little dated, could do with some kind of tune up.

Abbadon, with a bit of trimming for his topknot and a nice scenic base, looks very very acceptable.
Of course, you can always just bitz order the arms themselves and put them on the Chaos Terminator Lord body for an even better look.

Hmmm, definitely Obliterators, I mean seriously wtf? it's like they just stuck left overs into green stuff and went, yeah that'll do eh! and chaos defilers one in plastic with a more agile look would be good, actually nearly all the chaos models could do with a makeover.

Chaos Defilers are in plastic...
They've always been plastic.

As for Obliterators...that's pretty much what they are. They're randomly reshaping and reforming their limbs into weapons.

What about some variations on kroot and kroot hounds? There are only 4 types of kroot hounds, and their high initiative makes them a valuable asset. But if you field more than four of them, they all look the same! A new shaper with a better pose would be nice.

But really, i think that we could use some new necrons....Zomg. why? half the army is metal, and my debit card and bank would love me forever if i quit dropping tons of cash on them......

That, and if you have ever put a necron warrior together....their little ball joint bodies are annoying like none other........and ugly.

Granted its a fairly new sculpt but both the SM Commander and Company Champion figures are underwhelming when comparing them to some of the other elite models out there.

Thats because they are a different regiment technically

I dont think cadians even have rough riders on horses. and I doubt gw would make IG motorbikes since those would be super popular I suppose

Dante, Abaddon, Nagash, Fleshhounds of Khorne, Karanak, Beast of Nurgle, Skulltaker...all of these need help. But to me, the model that unequivically needs a new model, and in my opinion, needs it the most?

THE BIOVORE. Seriously the Biovore has NEVER had a good incarnation. I think after all this time, it deserves one.

All of the tanks. ALL OF THEM! If any army came out with a tank that had guns that were reasonably sized compared to their turrets, I would buy that army in a heartbeat. But we are stuck with guns where you wonder how the crew, ammunition, and the majority of the gun's workings manage to fit inside the turret. The only one that comes close to reasonable is the autocannon turret for the space marines.
