Been reading the off topic forum and in a few threads people do mention their height (for e.g. 6'2 doing rowing..). Now with my family were all pretty damn tall and when i hear people talking how tall they are etc. well, come to our place... really your not that tall. In all seriousness, whats your height dakkadakka? im quite curious. has it helped you? annoyed you? loved... you.... . Lets hear.

I'll start off, im 17 and 6'4 (close to 5) and still growing at a rapid rate which has lead to knee injuries (sigh) which is quite annoying as i play rugby union and cricket. My height also has helped me in the terms of intimidation in fights etc (not as in i look for fights, but to break em up or stick up for a mate). I can also bench press a bus.

I'm 42 years old, 6' 5" and 294lbs and when I played rugby I was a lock forward. Mother nature gave with one hand and took away with the other as she gave me very bad shortsightedness.

Just 5'9 here. The annoying thing is that I used to be the tall one when I was still growing...

funny thing is, i was just.. normal height and in the span of 1-2 years i just shot up with no signs.. i wonder why ehh?

Of note, one of the other doctors in the study tested my lung function for a study yesterday and the forced vital capacity (the air I can blow out) is 6.9L, it should be no more than 5....

I don't know what I can bench press, I can do 1 chin up reliably, 2 on a very good day.
But I used to do 150kg calf raises (set of 100) until my cardiologist said no more heavy lifting.

One of you giants needs to make this into a poll! You'll definitely get more responses. I'm 5'5", and weigh somewhere between 120 and 130 lbs. I'm usually at chest level with my friends, none of whom seem to be below the six foot mark.

Being short leads to a more cutthroat approach to sports. Knowing that nothing you can do is likely to injure your opponent leads to very reckless tackles in football (american) and soccer. You have to accept a certain degree of injury to yourself to affect people 2 or 3 times your weight and size but when you do, it is very satisfying.

I'm 18 years old (5'7-1/2) 150 pounds and proud to be average height my dad was only 5'6 his dad was 6'3 we both kinda got the short end of the stick at least I have no complexes about my height like alot of people do

I will be 40 this year stand 6'1 and weigh about 260 on a good day. In my rugby days I was a tight head prop and about the same weight as I am now though more was muscle back then. Rugby was a lot of fun but my knees are paying for it now, I need to shed more than a few pounds. Height has never been a problem for me but my dad, who was 6'5 had a hell of a problem getting clothes to fit.

a humble 5'11", but i started smoking at an early age (15), so i'm pretty sure that stunted my growth. My dad and brother (both non-smokers) are about 6'3"

Well just because this thread is so random, I gotta get in on it, i'm only a short one measuring in at 5foot10inches and weigh in at about 70 kilo's with normal sized testicles!

I'm 22 years old 6'6" and a solid 280.

My height hasn't particularly helped me, and it's been kind of annoying in some respects. Mostly everyone asks me if I play basketball (I don't) and because I'm a big guy I always got stuck with the 240B and a big ruck to even it out.

It was kind of useful when I was playing football in high school, though I was only 210-215 then, people didn't know how to handle that much angry guard or defensive tackle coming at them.

I'm 17, 5'10 and 135-140 pounds and I play wing.
I'm pretty happy with my size, no way I would want to be stuck in the scrum. All the fun is in the back line

I'm 23 years old, 5'8", and normally weigh around 250lbs, although after thanksgiving dinner this weekend I gained 10lbs, lots of turkey and pumpkin pie. Even though I am a little overweight, most people usually think I weigh about 200lbs.

250 pounds at 5 foot eight is a "little overweight"? no offence but it's a bit more than a little. I mean Vitali Klitschko is 250 pounds and he's six foot six and the heavyweight champion of the world. Not criticising you on it just think the statement is a bit off.

24 and 6'9". Thin as a rake would love to bulk up a bit!

18 years old and 6'2. Its a good height I think. Tall enough to make fun of short people and short enough to make fun of gigantic people.

31 years old 5'11 and 17 stone.i pump iron at least three times a week.i never stopped being skinny till i hit 21 years of age.

I'm just a hair under 6'1" @205lbs. That's 185cm tall and 93kg for you folks in the parts of the world that use sensible measurements. I would describe my body type as "Lumpy and Unpleasant" for the most part. I suppose isn't a horrible body to have, it works adequately for most purposes. I wouldn't mind being 3" shorter and 60lbs lighter though.

I'm 17 am 5'5'' and weigh 124lbs, pretty tall for a hobbit but not so impressive for a human, not very strong either. The only thing my height has helped me in is gaining new names, getting into small areas and looking cute in front of girls (but not

"cute" enough for sex though ).

I'm 5'4", 120 lbs. Going by the height of my family members, I'll (hopefully) end up being 5'10 or 5'11 when I finish growing.
