I've heard alot of rumors about what codex's are coming out soon. Me personally i hope either BT, iron hands (like that'll happen ) or even Tau. Tell me what you think is coming out next and what you are hoping for.

Doesn't this belong in General 40K Discussion?

Next codex is confirmed to be Dark Eldar. After that, it's most likely Grey Knights. And after that, no idea (Hopefully Necrons).

If you mean a completely new codex for a new faction, the only one I could see happening is Ad Mech.

Well, yeah, dark eldar, they've released all the new pics and everything. I was hoping they'd release the necrons next, as BY FAR they are the race that needs a new 'dex, Grey Knights can wait. But, knowing GW's undying love for chapters that include space marines, itll probably be knights...

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

I'd say Grey Knights need it more than us; they're even worse than Necrons competitively, their entire model range is metal, and their codex is even older than ours.

Currently, I think we're looking at (based off of the rumors I've gathered from various forums which look actually reliable rather than simply being geeks saying what they want to see):

Dark Eldar (obviously)
Grey Knights / Inquisition (early next year)
Necrons (early/mid next year)
Sisters of Battle / Ecclesiarchy (mid/late next year)
Tau Empire (late next year / early 2012)

Don't make any stupid 2012 jokes by the way. That gak's seriously old by now.

Not to mention inaccurate.

I think we'll see a Dark Angels update mixed in with those, since Games Workshop has a hardon for releasing marine variants.

Grey Knights are the Marine variant they'll release next year.

True, but even then there's still three non-marine releases in a row after them.

I'd say we're probably getting one before Tau get updated.

I hope not. Tau need it more than any of the three remaining SM codices after Grey Knights.

Necrons are more weighed to be after the Grey Knights followed by something Imperium (Sisters, Witch Hunters, Black Templars), THEN to be followed by Tau.

I can hope GW skip second wave releases that take a month's attention (Like the planetary assault models of May/June) as I have a bet I plan on winning in August around the Tau release.

Also 2012 was an awful movie reaping profits off of the fears of the unthinking common folk and I feel awful for watching it.

Given the way that GW's been handling its Fantasy releases lately (i.e. only one army book release this year, but lots of new model releases), I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Although I disagree with GK being next in terms of what I want, that is more out of my rather biased hatred of that army list, the rest are, in order, what I would agree need it the most.

Raising the second of my concerns
1. Mentioned in post
2. More Marine players nearby, we already have enough SMs filling the tables besides all the assorted comics + boxes laying around.

I heard Tau sometime around August 2011.

So far it's gone SM,IG,SW,Nids,BA,DE,???

It goes Space Marine, someone else, Space Marine, Someone else, Ect.

I'd be willing to bet next is Grey Knights, Prolly around Feburary. The next non Space Marine codex would be sometime during the summer. Most likely Tau or Necrons, Followed by another Marine codex (including Chaos Marines) around November-December. Early 2012 could be Daemons if they updated Chaos Marines in November-ish.

I sincerely doubt there will be any more Space MArine codices next year aside from Grey Knights.

Don't hate on marines just 'cause evryone else does. It isn't cool.
GW loves them, get used to it.

Personally in the way of 40K 'dexes I think GK then 'crons.
But the full thing I think TK then GK, 'Crons and O&G.

Ah, the anti-SM bandwagon is here.
Me, I want some new Necrons, followed by some Greater Good.
